She she laid it on, a few days later she was gone.....reference to an old friend they used to score off who passed away with a brain tumour, they used to call her tart tart.....the book is great Cheers Bez :D
@fishername Cheers for putting the video up and including the piece from Bez's autobiography in the comments. I thought this track was typical Shaun Ryder surrealism, I didn't realize it contained two separate stories in it, nice one.
Pills 'n' Thrills was massive when it came out. Everybody in their teens then heard it, and lots of people liked it. Seen 'em live twice, a few years ago, it's worth going! And Bez threw t-shirts into the crowd, bargain!
Thanks for getting this one back up - it is one of my fave Mondays songs and shows where the band was going in the early days - and even better with Peel's intro & Bez's insights in your commentary.
@Yickbob All good, it's a great track/video that had to be put up again. The audio seems to have desync'd a bit so I'll have to try and fix that eventually.
Thanks for posting this. They dont make bands like the mondays no more. One off! :)
