@The72koenig ...let it go. just let music to what GOD intended. Bring different cultures and genres together. Gorillaz have R&B artists and rappers on their Plastic Beach album, and Del and quite a few other hip-hop artists performed live with Damon Albern.
@The72koenig ..yes, especially the charities, orphanages, hospitals, burn wards and other concepts created by God's conscience in mankind.
UTTER FAIL - There wouldn't have been a Nuremburg or War Crimes or any concept of Justice without Religion, who's universal laws are codified and adapted by civil cultures - Ironically, the early Christians were labeled atheists by non-Christians because of their disbelief in pagan gods. END OF FREAKIN STORY, and its a GREAT mix!
@SuperOmnicron typical theist spouting the usual flawed logic arguments. "god" has absolutely zero to do with man's morality, i do good because i know it's right not because of the bogeyman. p.s. which orphanages? the ones where priests and nuns raped and abused the children? you are the "utter fail" you simplistic douchebag.
funny man. believe in your own god if your crazy mind wants to, and let your own god believe in others if you want him to do so, but remember this nonchalant attitude just to make your affirmations credible is abstruse.
@The72koenig ...which part of "God is in the conscience of mankind" didnt you get? And yeah, the Vatican and catholic church have abused children, does that make christians that do good work any less honorable? Duh.
Nothing will EVER beat Del's original rap since it fits the Gorillaz so well. But he'll never tour with them. I think Damon and team have found some good rappers to collaborate with on this one and surprisingly, I always felt like "Drop it Like it's Hot" would fit well with this song and then came Snoop on Plastic Beach and then Glastonbury. It was like I had hit the nail on the head. Fun version you've got here.
I think Del should have toured with them from phase 1, but... he most have his reasons... it's not woth living just for one song xD I like Del's better than anyones...
@josemontenegro777 i do agree about the idea that it's one song, and he definitely should've gone for the first phase, but nowadays i think he should, too. de la soul does, and they have just two songs. bootie brown just has dirty harry. and while snoop isn't touring (except glastonbury) he did just come out with his OWN album, while del hasn't. by the by, if they release Deltron Event II i don't care if del renounces gorillaz. all will be redeemed.
@JazzyFilms I think it does have the Gorillaz feeling :) Doesn't fit LIVE maybe, kinda boring there, but it got the aphatic, lonely atmosphere over it, without being sad.. As I said, apathic
@juggernautleo12 i agree, but this is probably, in my opinion, the second best. phi life was okay, but i hated jamal grey's and tinie tempah's. de la soul/bootie brown did alright, but the ed case refix was awful.
@juggernautleo12 yea, the first rap had a purpose within the song, which is why i never truly appreciated Phi Life Cypher's. It was the rap they were gonna use on the album version, but then Del came in. Del's rap actually worked with the real meaning of the song. Phi Life's was just rambling about Gorillaz. It was a fun rap, but meaningless. Bootie's and De La Souls' was okay but still not the meaning, and Snoops is from "Drop it Like it's Hot"
