do the 32 S&W rounds from your Smith and wesson model 4 fit in this revolver? I wonder if they can be used as a substitute for the hard to find 8mm french ammo
wanted to shot mine but was not 100% sure what ammo to use. I knew it was 8mm. but was told its a black powder shell. smoke or smokeless ? What do you use.
Thanks for showing us this beautiful revolver! I've been planning on getting one myself soon. I wish I could see you fire it! It's hard to tell from the various videos I've seen about it on Youtube how big it actually is.
I would never sell it. Its a great looking peice. Feels good in your hand. Well built. One guy told me he notice the price on the m1892 been sky rocketing. But would like to know how old it is. It dont have the s # on the barrel like yours. dont look like it was removed from barrel to nice of shape. Just didnt have it on barrel I guess. just the letter L and 3 # Would you know how to tell. It should be about 100 years old but thats just a guess on what i seen in the internet.
I got a model 1892 passed on to me by my father. dont have a s # on the barrel but has a letter L and 3 numbers on the frame. I would say it hads about 90 % blue if not more. looks to be just as clean as yours. no box or holster. Would you have a ideal whats its worth just a rough ideal
at least you got accoutrements and the case with it . I have a rahter beat up one that was a bringback from one of the african american soldiers in the Red Ball Express unit. i think IMA makes a holster for it also. The neat feature about the gun is to clean the internals the whole sideplate actually hinges outward to teh left if you undo the one large screw on the right side.
I live in the states.
The only pistol licenses currently being granted in Eire are for 22 caliber.
The magazine capacity has to be limited to 5 rounds though

Are you currently living in the States or are handguns legal to own in Ireland? Very classy looking gun!

Than's cool. A friend of mine has one but doesn't know anything about it. I can't wait to tell him the cylinder pops out.
