Oh I won't deny that Ilvern ruins is more fun, It's just that this method is great for if you plan on leveling without being in the room, heh

A faster way to level up is to go to Ilvern Ruins, the part with the owls. Put on the healing ring then just do the upwards attack. While the ring's healing you, you'll be getting more energy from the owls, which = lots of exp and gold. With Snes9x I just fast-forwarded and in 3 minutes I was the highest level with max gold.

The only problem with that is that it's not at the very beginning of the game.

True, that is a good area for leveling. I would have done that one (or another, if I found one) but I was mainly choosing this one because it's at the beginning of the game, like you said.

Woot, nice vid. YS 3 I bought solely to see what it was like, and boy was I lucky. This game is one of the SNES's very best.

I used to level up at the beginning of tigray quarry, kill the worms, go right up the hill and kill the flying thing, go back and kill the worms again, and heal up by leaving the quarry and re-entering.

At the beginning of level 2 it's the same thing, kill the fireballs, go right and kill that guy, go back and kill the fireballs, repeat.

lol, yeah. The whole game seems strewn with areas that beg for quick leveling.

I was actually thinking of making a full game walkthrough, since the most I've found were boss vids.
