  • I tought myself how to knit about 4 yrs. ago. I hold the yarn the same way you do, the only difference is that my left thumb is closer to the point of the needle. I bring the yarn forward (to purl) and over my thumb, then "throw" the yarn with my thumb over the needle. When I knit I "throw" the yarn over the needle with my index finger. Strange? perhaps, but it works for me. I love your video.
