If McCain dies in office Palin will be president. Obama has no policies distinguisable from Bush. True he says he will withdraw the troops but if Iraq implodes he says he will keep troops in the region to prevent Al-Qaeda from taking control. Which means he would send the troops back in again after pulling them out. That means that following a troop withdrawl the terrorists would catch their breath and regroup and reinvading Iraq would cost more lives of American troops.

Better to stay in Iraq and keep the pressure on the jihadists.
