That's the problem. When I started taking pictures of crime scenes and fire rescues for the newspapers, the cops were my heroes.
I've been beaten and arrested 4 times, countless summonses, a broken rib, several beatings, many many court appearences where they never show up, broken equipment, stolen from me equipment, etc.
If I have an ax to grind, they put it there. I'm going to look for badge # 999 nevermind and see that he is no longer a cop.

I have an issue with the "Whose Streets, Our Sts" chant, and the militant nature of Crit Mass in general.
Why? Bikes, peds, cars and other vehicles must share the road. That said, it must be acknowledged that Bikes will continue to play an increasingly essential role in urban transport.
Bikes deserve more room + respect, but "Whose Sts, R Sts" is NOT the way to get it.

i'd normally feel a lot of sympathy for the cyclist but after a bunch of Critical Mass thugs pulled a guy out of his car in Seattle and beat punched and kicked him then slashed the car tires, I've got to say good for the cops. From a guy who rides 6000+ miles a year I've got to say that CM is not cycling advocacy but mob hooliganism.

I hit a biker with my car at Critical Mass San Francisco. Too bad none of you little whiners got it on tape, it was hilarious. He freaked out like I had killed his mother. The odd thing is, when I got out to confront him, he rode away as fast as he could. Apparently, they just like to cause problems for drivers and not have anything happen to them...homos

I think the bikes are not doing anything illegal but they are causing more confusing on the roads but the thing is cops can't do anything about this as there is no such thing as a bike lane

If you are going to ride your bicycle in the streets of NY outside of the designated Bike lanes, you should be able to maneuver your bicycle just like a car.
