Police Catch Jay Walker in Singapore

Even though Ireland's turning into a bit of 'nanny state' at least we don't have 'jaywalking'. Pedestrians and drivers are both expected to have enough common sense and observation to avoid colliding. Fortunately cars knocking pedestrians does seem to be very rare, but that should be expected. When the road is clear we cross it, only foreigners wait for the green light! lol :)

They've started doing the same thing in Melbourne's CBD, which sucks. But honestly though, it isn't that hard to follow the pedestrian signals.

When someone kena caught jaywalking, they kena fiee $20.. Typical Singaporeans, always complaining... When jaywalk kena fine, complain.. When jaywalk kena hit by car and die, they complain why police nvr do anything and start to publish all over the papers! Hish...!

Why don't the govt. do something about it, seems like the facility is not up to our publics standard. An underground path direct from City Hall to Capitol would have solved everything.
