wonderful video for learning to configure outlook 2010, just watch the advanced settings as you change the ports and click ssl it reverts back to the old port. you go to test and wonder why it failed. thats why.
How do I set up outlook to delete the emails I read from both outlook and actual account. Every time I delete an email, I have to go into the actual email provider to delete it too... kind annoying :/
thanks buddy that was so helpful. I was looking for this kind of video for a week and never found this kind of video but finally you made me happy because of your video that helped me a lot.
hi, i followed all the steps and both tests came back good, but when i click next it says "the request operation failed" could you tell me why it is doing this?
@bordwalk2000 G'day mate. Usually with the calendar I would suggest using Google Calendar Sync but as you have probably found out it is not supported on the 64 bit Outlook 2010 product. Unfortunately I have not yet found a free utility that can synchronise either the calendar or the contacts consistantly for the 64 bit version. If you happen to come across one I would be thrilled to hear about it!
@littletrex7 Hello mate. Can you be a little more specific? Do you get an error? Based on what you have described I think you should check the port numbers for the incoming and outgoing servers.
@hussanali , Hi mate. Go back in to the advanced options and check that the outgoing and incoming server ports are correct. If you don't change the outgoing and incoming server ports and encryption types in the order that I demonstrated, outlook will sometimes change the port number back to the default.
very informative, thanks for sharing
