That said, maybe the video displays the artist's deep convictions, but I think not. This does go to show, however, how an innocent joke can become offensive (to some people) when put into video. That's because that spoken word appeals to the intellect, while the visual image appeals to the emotions.
Is this the joke about a group of people and the "purest" one would sink the least in the water? In the version I've heard of (it was modified, though) the guy that could walk on water was standing on someone else's head!
As for the religious aspect, I'm a Christian, but I agree that just the trappings of any religious tradition isn't enough to make someone pure - for me, it's Divine Grace, not human effort, so the inclusion of Christianity in this video doesn't bother me.

This video has nice animation. For the idea it seems the youth was using religion as a way to gain supernatural powers, which is what a lot of the people today try to do. They want something and they'll dig deep into religion to try and get it, but of course it doesn't work. My idea may be wrong for the video, but it seems to fit.
It's pretty good, but I think it needs to show him getting wet after going into the water...for example; making his shoes sound like they are filled with water when walking. Having him squeeze water out of his clothes. Having water drip off of him as he walks back to the same spot. These are just some suggestions that I think will enhance this quite a bit. Hopefully this critique will help if you wanted to adjust it at all.
i agree...but would like to add that maybe this is saying that "religion" isn't the answer. maybe its the strength of spirit is what does it. and that how you get there is different for everyone as long as your honest about it.

I think the movie shows the tendency people have to want quick results. He goes through a pile of religions in one day, without really considering any of them. It's not down on religion, it's more down on expecting results from a religion you have no faith in. And there's the little twist at the end :) Some things just arn't humanly possible. Good work!

I love the concept and the animation. What was the exact reason for putting the religious symbols in CG and as photography, though? I know it made them stand out but to me it jarred a bit too much with the animation.
