  • Great video, I see the meaning in it.

  • @Dkcode Thanks, mate! I'm glad that it can come through:) ...by the way u have some good stuff uploaded.

  • awesome... i strongly recommend you PLASTIC BOY - Silver Bath too, if you are into that genre, the break is amazing

  • @djgioh Thanks for your comment and recommendation! I'll check out that Silver Bath for sure:)

  • Great video ! thumbs up!

  • @hakkuhLucler Thanks! :)

  • Not just a fantastic tune but amazingly also great video. Total rarity in trance

  • @duncr Thanks! :-) I made some other vids recently for Chiller Twist (you can find them on his channel here on YT: chillertwist ), but sometime I am going to continue this Top10 too, since it isn't changing with time somehow:) ...trance music has a great intellectual/emotional essence, which can be mirrored with vids.

  • I haven't heard this for over 10 years! Absolutely fantastic!

  • @slyarsenal Thanks, Sly! ...I think this tune will stand the "test of Time" :-) True Value won't fade away (only if those who bear it fade away)...

  • @DanielLaszloKovacs Well said! I'm taking it to the coffin with me LOL

  • MDMA comeback ... great song it was...

  • @mhatthei Was Yves DeRuyter participating in that formation (MDMA)?

  • great job daniel, bravo !!

  • @jacknapier37 Thanks! The following vids will be even better (I hope:)

  • EXELENTEEEEEE...!!! =D

  • @elfercho21 Thanks! I'm glad you like it so much:)

  • @prionsauladh Good point/observation - it may be the Marlboro cigarette factory at 00:56 :) ...if you wish you can examine it in more detail in the movie called "Baraka", since those scenes were taken from there.

  • I dont have any critics at all. I not only LOVE the tune/video, also love ALL trance tunes of this era!!!! Im sorry for all this huge misunderstanding...all i want to say is that im in the opposite side of @mcbigdhomie: i LOVE the video, i LOVE the song, i have nothing negative to say. In fact, everytime i can i listen to the tune, and i play it when im dj´ing in some family/friends parties...

  • @gavilanchus Thanks! :) ...there is no misunderstanding anymore:) I'm glad that you like the tune and the vid!! One of the best trance tunes ever!! :)

  • My friend: you are COMPLETELY misunderstanding me!!! Im not insulting you or anything!! IM REPLYING to @mcbigdhomie. IF you read below, you will se HE wrote "stupid video". My reply was to HIM not to you!!!! Sorry if i didnt make my point clear or if i wrote without quoting original poster. Hope everything is ok now ;)

  • @gavilanchus Ok, I see. Your 1st comment below made the impression that you share the same opinion with mcbigdhomie (and thus the citation)... Which actually wouldn't be a problem, since there is democracy, anyone can freely express his/her opinion. Any critic is welcome until it is constructive. By just saying "stupid" you merely say nothing. If you have some negative critic (about the vid) you're welcome to explain it, cause I'd be interested what people think about it, how I could improve...

  • "stupid video" Yeah right, but if you are in your 30´s, this was one hell of a trance anthem never go outdated. I still play it every time i have the chance in family/friends parties with Gouryella, Bellisima, Close Cover and others. If you are serious about trance music, it didnt begin or its not only about Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten or Paul Oakenfold. There is much, much more. Its a good idea to "open" your ears, search and listen to some good ol trance tunes ;)

  • @gavilanchus 2 things:

    (1) You repeat your insult by saying "stupid video" and then explain nothing. Did you make a better vid?? Or are you just trying to insult me?

    (2) Why do you think that my ears are "closed" and I think that it is only about Armin, Tiesto, etc??? ...did you even see my Trance Top10 list?? What are you talking about?? Playing the wise guy here? ...check out my Top10, and then check out my favs too: you'll see many things (from Emmanuel Top, Commander Tom, etc)... ... ... ??

  • "stupid video"... but awesome classic trance tune

  • @gavilanchus Thank u very much 4 ur kind words! ...by the way, is it Shakespeare you cite? ...there is nothing more valuable than your own thoughts.

  • stupid video

  • @mcbigdhomie why?

  • reminds me of system f out of the blue at times

  • Yeah, they are from around the same time period:)

  • And what about Push? He is in my top 3 favorite trance producers. Tracks as Universal Nation, Strange World (2000 Remake), Voyager and the absolutely stunning "Till We Meet Again" are tracks destined to remain for ever in trance music history as all time athems!

  • Yeah, the good thing is, that Push, and for example his "Universal Nation" anthem is/was recognized. ...but many-many good/great tunes of similar quality were lost without recognition - lost treasures. ...if the critical mass is not achieved, you know:)

  • What a great melodic piece! It really grows on you!

We have a similar taste. I've also uploaded the The Orange Theme by Cygnus X in the Moonman's remix. Is under the name "Deep Trance Music".

Also the 2008 rework from Vincent De Moor's Sunflower is another one of my favorite trance tunes. I suggest you check out through my uploads "Vincent De Moor - Fly Away (Original Instrumental Version". You might like it.

  • Thanks for all the recommendations, and the comment! I'll check it out. Seems we have a similar taste in trance:)

  • legend le paLACE TORINO 1999

  • 10 years - still classic:)

  • I can't find this version anywhere

feel free [dj jamx and de leon's dumonde remix] best of bonzai europe's premiere techno -trance label1 vol1 thats the way it appears ond my I pod.

  • Dear, martinw3000, there are several versions of this tune. Maybe you have exactly this tune on your iPod, but the title was set differently, or maybe it is not even this tune, I don't know. ...you should check out the "2007 Remix" of this tune by the author of the original - it is great!! :)

  • Just read the comment by ConnaughtVaughan. I think your video is quite cool. It makes a nice difference to see imagery with meaning along with good trance, as apposed to staring at a nude image of a girl. Nice work, keep it up!

Btw, could you perhaps mention the movies you got some of the clips from?

  • Hi DA101! ...thanks for the comment! So, you ask 4 a list of the movies from which I took these clips... Here they are (in order of appearance:) - Ron Fricke - Baraka - Kraftwerk - Music Non Stop (video) - Alejandro Amenabar - Open Your Eyes - Stanley Kubrick - 2001: a Space Odyssey - Wachowski Bros. - Animatrix - Julian Schnabel - Before Night Falls - Alan Parker - Pink Floyd: The Wall - Tage Danielsson - Adventures of Picasso - Steven Lisberger - TRON - Sam Mendes - Revolutionary Road
  • Thanks Daniel. These are all rated highly. I will surely check them out!

  • The only difference between the egg/chicken industry and humanity is that at least in human civilization they don't grind up all the baby boys to feed them to the baby girls.

Think I lie? Watch the following video.

"Secret Video of Horrible Cruetly to Chicks"

Perhaps some of the footage from it would have done better in this already excellent.

  • Dear Badgeman, first of all thank you for the valuable comment!! I believe what you say (although I didn't see such things with my own eyes). ...chicken industry vs. human society - yes, not a perfect analogy. But which one is perfect?... ;) Listen, check this out, and tell me your opinion:

Pink Floyd - Welcome to the Machine

    watch?v=jP33qaA1GMM

...or you can check out the following too:

    watch?v=1gKX9TWRyfs&fmt=18

I know this latter may seem a bit of a propaganda, but still, has some truth.

  • I think your selection is very good, its what i like to call "proper trance"there is no sub-genre with your selection, hence why i like it!

there are alot of my personal favourites in there also.

  • I'm glad, Nutsax, that you find my selection satisfying:) Although I think "proper trance" is not an absolute definiton. There was the golden era in the 90's (progressive rave/trance, e.g. Commander Tom...). Then there was the classic trance era around 2000 (e.g. Kai Tracid, Tiesto, Delerium, ). ...and then came trance as we know it today (electro, clash, techno, minimal, and all that diversity put together in a homogenous, mostly commercial mixture). But still, there are exceptions, diamonds:)

  • awesome!

  • Thanks, learante, 4 watching and listening, and 4 the valuable feedback! :) ...it is valuable 4 me, since (I don't really understand why) I haven't got as many responses to this vid, as I thought I would...

  • The problem with your selection , nos 7-10, is that they're too long! I think Trance music should be about 5 mins long....I lose interest with electronic music if it's too long......like this....

Also, your movies are too "arty-farty" (English expression)...they're just too symbolic, with hidden meanings - who cares, just make a short snappy film with attractive music to match!

  • Thanks 4 sharing your thoughts, ConnaughtVaughan. About the length of trance tunes: there are Original Mixes, Radio Mixes, etc. Every version has its usual length, and its place. In my top10 list I decided to include original, uncut, full, hq/hd quality versions of the tunes. So their length is given. Usually in trance this means around 7-10 minutes. So: the point is the Music. The video is only a companion. ...about that too arty, too symbolic thing: tastes differ - this is my language/message.

  • tastes differ....that's a good thing....wouldn't it be boring if everyone were the same!!!

  • It certainly would:)

  • this track is awesome. Yves deruyter makes me proud i am a belgian!!!

Great dj, great person! nice top 10 man :)

  • Thanks, Tijne! Once I think I'll surely visit your homeland:)

  • Yeah, right. Trance is like a rollercoaster ;D

  • Thanks, Maridianokus, I hope you'll like what you hear (when you'll have the time&mood 2 listen)! :) ...I know, that my fav. muzax are not "always" the happiest - life, you know. Trance is not only about uplifting... It may be poetic (like Kai Tracid's), or ancient-tribal (like most of the Noom Records' stuff), or melodic (like Airbase's stuff), or 1 of the million other types/flavors. Mostly a mixture of them... Nonetheless tastes/recipes may coincide (like in our case:)

  • Nice Tune !

  • Thanks, Yu! :) I would like it too, if I were Yu:))

  • I'd recommend you to watch it in FULLSCREEN, and in HD (e.g. by addig &fmt=22 to the end of the URL)... Have fun! :)
