the first origional resident evil game has to be my favourite, closely followed by the second game ^_^ I highly recommend anyone to play the first two games from 1996 and 1998. The graphics are poor but it is where the story started. It's what I grew up with playing since I was 4 years old, even though it scared me.

The newer games are over-rated. Resident evil 4 is good, but that is mostly because of the improved graphics. Personally I think that the newer games are over-rated.
