This song is one of the best by Mukesh ji and Asha ji...Based on Raag Chaya Nat, Nayyar Saheb has composed the song beautifully with the use of Mandolin., soulfully rendered by Mukesh and Asha...
Mukesh has sung only 4 songs for Nayyar Saheb, this was the first song he had sung for him..Thanks for posting this gem..
Excellent Ghazal by Mukeshji and ashaji. Excellent wordings of the Ghazal. Such songs have disappeared now a days. How sad it is. What a downwards sliding and collapse. we have to blame ourselves. The MD are playing to the dance tunes for the sake of money causing degradation of our heritage and culture.
great song. Begum Akhta's gazal was "Najar tumhari mere dil ki baat kahti hai" that does not in any way take away O.P's brilliance. I think it has Raag Bahr as base.
Wah Mirzaji, you have created a majic video with the classic Miss Coca Cola song & beauties of yonder ever so slowly swaying with the music. Only a Lahori can create such romantic mood. Keep it up.
the begum akhtar sung gazal was by qadeer lakhnavi....the maqtaa was "qadeer hashr mein pahunchey to hamney kya dekha, kisi key haath se daman chuudaa raha hai koi".
the shanti hiranand song was by shakeel badayuni.."fasana e shab e gham khatm honey vala hai, shakeel chand sitaron mein ji nahin lagta".
You are absolutely right! I have been trying to jog ny memory for the gazal wordings that you refer to in your comment. Could you please advise which one (s) is (are) those? Many thanks
@chamogaa@chamogaa Very sweet song. Indeed, Mukesh-Asha combination was rare. Phir Subah Hogi had some of their best duets (Phir Na Keeje Meri Gustakh Nigahi ka Gila, Wo Subah Kabhi to' Aayegi.
