I can tell you one thing, and that´s for sure, that most lyrics from the early operas also were about sex. You can do a report questioning why 12 minutes of orgasmic sounds (opera arias) with lyrics like "in your bossom I wanna lie" is alright, while "Hey baby, oh baby, pretty baby, Tell me, would you do me now?" is considered so disgraceful.
