you have to be a flat lander! stay down state and catch the fish down there. leave the little browns alone fudgie they become world records, when guys like you dont molest or kill them. why would you video tape that fish instead of a fifteen pound steeelhead which you have never caught?
FYI fishslayer4, In my 35 years of fishing for steelhead I have caught four Michigan steelies over 17 lbs, two in the Betsie, one in the Rogue (a mile from my home), and one in the Muskegon. One of the Betsie fish was an ounce shy of 18 lbs. Two of my four 17+ pounders were released. I do not target , much less "molest" or kill little browns. Gimme a break! :)
@wildraisins prove it !. if you can show A baby brown being yanked in by his neck than you can show the world your huge steelhead. you are a flatlander and I dont believe you. many men think especially fudgies that they have huge fish it is usually not the case.
@fishslayer4 : Leave you're email and I'll send photo proof of two of the four. Oh also drop the childish name calling and the insinuation that I'm a liar. I have the proof, leave your email.
@fishslayer4: and while we're waiting, enter "a Thanksgiving steelhead from the Lake Michigan surf" into YouTube search to see the last of four nice fish I caught Thanksgiving morning 2009 from Lake Michigan at Grand Haven :)
I love the Manistee, it's such a beautiful clear river. Last time I paddled it the salmon were running, that was awesome. I'm definately going to the Manistee this year.
