  • I'm digging the intro my friend! Cool tunes and multiple camera shots. great job on the editing. Nothing like a nice comfortable chair in the great outdoors. It looks like your bushcraft skills are significant.

  • @SnowLobo95 They're getting better, but still needs lots of work.

  • Crock, I think you may have started a trend here. I used to just carry come snacks and Ramon Noodles in my three day pack...now when I head out I'm taking bacon too. - I think maybe naps and bacon are gifts from God.

  • @GungHo1032 LOL can't agree more. I think bacon was created on the 8th day.

  • I love how you do so much in just 6 or 7 hours, that's true dedication to something you're passionate about. Thank you for the videos Crocket you really motivate and inspire me, keep up the good work.

  • Awesome job editing .....looks like u had a good time, makes me wanna get out

  • Looks like a great series to come Crocket.

    Nate

  • was that pink drink liquidised bacon? you crazy americans think of everything! ;)

  • @leetshots LOL. Fast and convenient. The great taste of bacon without the fuss ; )

  • @Cr0cket20 if i see you with a pink drip hooked up slumped in a bush, i'm calling for help.

  • Dang...this is like the forth or fifth time I have watched this one. The combination of the scenery and music are VERY soothing. - I swear Crock, all you need is some Old Spice as you keep saying "back on me."

  • Great intro bro!

  • NIce, you have some good video edit skillz bro!!

  • well done - a lot of work doing all the camera angles while being your own camera man!

  • Awesome Crocket! I just came home from a similar trip an hour ago, no snow, just a huge blue sky above the pines.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • What to tell the wife on the weekend when you are headed out? We don't get to spend much time together due to our schedules, but you have 3 kids. How do you do it?

  • @Xenogy1 I often get up at 5:00am. Play until about 11:00 or 12:00 (maybe a little longer depending on the trip) and head home. It really isn't easy. In fact, I had planned to go out last night and spend the night. Decided to stay home with the family instead. A LOT of give and take, that's for sure. However, I have a really cool wife and she understands that I "recharge" when I go out. I just have to be careful not to abuse the time away.

  • @Xenogy1 - I have been happily married for almost 30 years. One of the things that I know works is simple bribery. "Hey sweetheart, I want to head up to the mountains for a few days with the guys...here is a 100 bucks to go have fun with the girls or go shopping." - Works EVERY time. :)

  • Crocket you have been putting out some great videos lately keep it u I love watching your channel man.

  • Whats that red colored water you were drink? :O

  • Are the tunes by a curtain Artist? Would love to know!

  • I had planned to practice my bush skills yesterday and today, but the chick had to reschedule our date because of her work! >;-)

So Instead I am gonna carry my ass down to the Mt. Fuji range and shoot some vid of my friends shooting their guns and me talking about what I need to do to get my gun (=shotgun, rifle) license here in Japan. (It can be done, just a pain in the ass!)

  • Bacon cooking over an open fire, snow peak 700, a tarp, and outdoor skill. Now thats a vacation! Thanks for sharing. Good stuff right there!

  • Have you ever heard of duct tape being used as a fire starting material? I just heard that the other day. That's a new one on me. Bacon might work too...

  • great vid once again man, never a disappointment keep up the good job

  • nice vid

  • Real nice I don't practice the skills enough Will this summer

  • Great video, the editing and music are done well, be proud. Take care and have a great day, looking forward to the full version,

  • Cool intro and great music.Looks like this is the beginning of a an inspiring and educational series.I dig your bushcraft and camping skills vids. I learn things every time you get a campfire bacon craving ;)

  • @kayakfish831 Glad I can help with the learning. I still have so much to do myself. It's kinda fun to think of all the knowledge still out there to gain and practice. Part of what makes it fun. Thinking about the bacon is giving me another craving : )

  • Music always welcome. Gotta be helpful, too, when you just have great video over which you do not want to talk.

  • @scooter17568 I hear ya there. Sometimes I get out there and want to make a video, but I don't want to talk. Full length vid is kinda like that. Personally I quite like it that way.

  • can't wait for the longer vid.

  • crocket you need to put music that's not as good on. i got lost in it. i whent to go close a window and forgot there was a video on.

  • Once again Crocket your camera work is superb.

  • Very nice. I think the Music complemented this video in an excellent way. Music is always a battle unless you have someone who is willing to let you use their music all the time. Someday I want my own composer for my videos, LOL.

  • @conleytgn LOL. I'm working on getting my own composer now. I contacted the guy that did Braveheart. Ya...haven't heard back from him yet. I'm thinking I will soon though ; )

  • Cool vid, Cr0cket! Can't wait to see the rest of this outing. Thanks for sharing.

  • That was awesome. I really enjoy the camping vids.

  • Good to see you doing some bushcraft i always enjoy your videos keep it up.

    Thanks

    David

Thanks for all your hard work dude.

  • Good job bro..GREAT video...

  • Sweet simplicity... thanks for the up, bro! Well done -

  • WhooHoo! Bacon on a stick!

  • @HawkLMT Some of the best. Smoked over the fire...ahhh my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

  • what great vids man...just my opinion as far as putting music in, keep it minimal. there is nothing worse than a guy out in nature and all I can hear is the music.I get just as much enjoyment out of the sounds as the sights...keep up the great work brother!

  • @winchdog77 Hopefully you'll like the full version. Little different than normal. Slower and more focused on sights and sounds.

  • Man, that looks like a great day out! Thanks for posting. Keep up the great work and keep sharing the knowledge!!!

  • You always get out and enjoy your self, thanks for sharing and posting.

  • Love the music, really creates an interesting mood, what is the name of the artist/song?

  • @N0RSEH0RSE Square Peach Music. Song titled Saturn.

  • hows the tripod? did it make it?

  • @leomantles With a little duck tape and love, it still holds the camera for me today.

  • @Cr0cket20 duck tape and love, i hope someday EVERYTHING can be fixed like that !!! someday...someday... jaja

  • @Cr0cket20 - No orthopedic surgeon? Dang...that leg looked like it was hit pretty bad.

  • I'm glad for two things. One, the awesome videos to come. And two, that it was 75 and sunny here today!

  • You sure were smilin' ! Good sign of good times!

  • @ksdj1 Definitely good times. Just an easy going relaxing trip to work on skills. Thanks for watching.

  • bush crafting is one of my favorite things to do. I think its the lack of technology that draws it to me.

  • great teaser

  • Not the same bacon, I hope. Fun stuff! But it sure looks cold..

Looking forward to the Feature Presentation!

    (Pre-tripod shoot I would imagine.)

  • @lostburro LOL. The bacon is a fresh batch.

  • awesome! bring it on ...

  • Great video.

  • Nice Looks like someone has gotten some pretty cool editing software. What did you have in the altoids box? I am not really up on my bush craft. Loved that exit.

  • @ironmonkeyz its char cloth basically its "burned" more like baked really pieces of cloth in the altoid tin and what you have left over is essentially tinder that does not require much to ignite it, fire steel would suffice to get it going

  • @ilovclips Thanks Is there a particular type of cloth that you use?

  • @ironmonkeyz i send you a PM with a video link that can explain to you better than i can

  • @ilovclips awesome thanks again.

  • @ironmonkeyz you got it

  • Well I'm stoked...

  • one of yer c00ler vids....liked the tunes too.

  • Nice.
