Anytiime you are going to buy oil look for the ones that say cold pressed, that brand EDEN is not pure oil. COLD PRESSED OIL means that is pure, I buy my argan oil in Amazon from Watts Beauty, I use because I have many skin problems like strech marks , dry skin and I got this rash in winter so I have been using it 3 month and the rash is gone. also for those who dont know, an interesting face is in morrocco they have goats that climb trees and eat these fruits, they then spit out the nut and that is what is cleaned and ground down into the oil, these tree climbing goats are funky little dudes, you should see how far some of them can climb

My mom's best friend is from Morocco; when i saw this video i went and asked her. It is mostly in the south of Morocco. It turned out that her family owned some of the trees and they actually make the oil. Also the fruit smashed up is really good for the face.She told me they eat it a lot in Morocco and that is what they mostly use it for. She also told me that when women have birth and get those lines on the stomach it helps to reduce those line. She gave me huge bottle. I love it!

@thewayilove That's not true. It just happens that Morocco is more known in the US so they attribute a lot of things to it. Argan oil is also produced in Algeria (although not made into a big commerce). You can do your own research on it if you wish. Info is readily available on google. :-)
@dzlove Eden Allure on their website says they do fair trade, making sure money reaches the women producing it (and not even only their husbands, as they say on their website). How serious their claims are - same case with everything fair trade, very hard to judge. But there are serious penalties for consumer misinformation especially in the US. Fraudulent advertising is in many cases more severely punished than overseas worker abuse, sadly.

I bought this product and it's real. They import it from Morocco of course, and they buy it deodorized so it doesn't smell like peanuts. It works great and if you don't believe it then call the company and talk to the owners.
And yes it has a smell to it a peanut smell.. if you had the real stuff you would know!.. these companys just had more ingredents to it.. so yeah NOT THE REAL STUFF!!!

i buy it in Morocc, but take a look in Ebay, maybe u will find some online shops, who offer this in the state. Im pretty sure there r plenty shops or comsmetic shops who offer this oil, otherwise u try to buy it in the pharmacy.

It has been 3 years that I left Morocco to do my master degree, and til now, I haven't heard yet about any of the trades manufacturing argan oil going to those rural women and helping them making a little profit about this product.
It costs quit a great price for the western market, but still, for the same 8 $ You can also get 1 liter of pure argan oil in Morocco (If you have a moroccan friend don't hesitate),
Argan oil has been used by us for different uses : Cooking, beauty reciepes and also as a medicine.

I've been Morocco a number of times& i always buy 100% argan oil from there as its super cheap(less than $8 for medium sized bottle).I also buy this cream from there(in a cream coloured container) with argan oil and it makes my skin so soft. (less than $3)My sister has really dry skin&its the only moisturiser that will work for her.U can also use the argan oil as a massage oil.

The purest Argan Oil (Zeit Argane) has numerous purposes and is the one that you can both eat (YES EAT!) it has a nutty scent and taste and also apply to your skin. If there is no nutty scent & taste, the oil isn't 100%.

This oil is a miracle I threw away my body lotions cuz they did nothing to my skin,besides I'm trying to reduce the chemicals in my beauty products.

@thewayilove That's not true. It just happens that Morocco is more known in the US so they attribute a lot of things to it. Argan oil is also produced in Algeria (although not made into a big commerce). You can do your own research on it if you wish. Info is readily available on google. :-)

@dzlove Eden Allure on their website says they do fair trade, making sure money reaches the women producing it (and not even only their husbands, as they say on their website). How serious their claims are - same case with everything fair trade, very hard to judge. But there are serious penalties for consumer misinformation especially in the US. Fraudulent advertising is in many cases more severely punished than overseas worker abuse, sadly.

USA and western companies don't steal this oil from Morocco, in fact they pay an expensive price to get it, and they are free to sell it at whatever price they want to their domestic consumers. and their consumers are free to buy their products or to travel to Morocco and bring some of it. I bought this product and it's real. They import it from Morocco of course, and they buy it deodorized so it doesn't smell like peanuts. It works great and if you don't believe it then call the company and talk to the owners.

To bad this is bullshit yes this oil is from Morocco and its good for your hair and face but its a really rare oli to find, this is not just some oil you can just walk into a store and pick up off the shelf its ONLY found in the deep south of Morocco (Agadir) no where else so I dont know how these companys can say they have the "real stuff" which is a flat out lie! i buy it in Morocc, but take a look in Ebay, maybe u will find some online shops, who offer this in the state. Im pretty sure there r plenty shops or comsmetic shops who offer this oil, otherwise u try to buy it in the pharmacy.

It has been 3 years that I left Morocco to do my master degree, and til now, I haven't heard yet about any of the trades manufacturing argan oil going to those rural women and helping them making a little profit about this product.
It costs quit a great price for the western market, but still, for the same 8 $ You can also get 1 liter of pure argan oil in Morocco (If you have a moroccan friend don't hesitate),

Argan oil has been used by us for different uses : Cooking, beauty reciepes and also as a medicine.

A little correction : It's ArgAn not ArgOn.
And yes, Argan Tree is a very rare tree that grows only in the south of Morocco (Between Marrakech and Ouarzazate). It is collected by women as a nut and then transformed by traditonnal methods.

And the Argon forest has depleted by 50%, So one of the ways they are trying to save the Argon Tree is by making it too valuable to use for fire wood etc. For example by marketing the Argon oil. So when you buy the oil you are helping to save an endangered species of tree. They do live between 150 & 200 years. But there aren't many left.

xandra revouvelle sells it too. I like their stuff alot. They sell both pure and I think they are actually making a shampoo with it in there. I like argan oil because it helps with Acne and dry skin which not alot of acne products do. :]

You can buy argan oil that has been roasted&this is what the moroccans use as cooking oil, but this is different from the oil for beauty purposes.
I've seen the women extracting the nut and making the oil, it does take a long time!

I've been Morocco a number of times& i always buy 100% argan oil from there as its super cheap(less than $8 for medium sized bottle).I also buy this cream from there(in a cream coloured container) with argan oil and it makes my skin so soft. (less than $3)My sister has really dry skin&its the only moisturiser that will work for her.U can also use the argan oil as a massage oil.

Hi shakewe11! The Best Places to purchase when in Morocco is in Fez: Medinat Qadeema (Old City) Marakech: Jama'a El-Fana in addition to the entire Southern province of Morocco.
The purest Argan Oil (Zeit Argane) has numerous purposes and is the one that you can both eat (YES EAT!) it has a nutty scent and taste and also apply to your skin. If there is no nutty scent & taste, the oil isn't 100%.
Btw I'm from the Moroccan South (of Amazighy origin). Hope this Helps :O)

Kiehls carry's some skin care products with Moroccan Argan Oil. I just went in today with my mom and I happened to see it so I ended up buying lotion which contains it. I agree about the whole cooling effect and my skin is sooo moisturized. Thanks for info otherwise I would have had no idea what I was passing over.
