  • Stephanie,

Have you played or ever considered playing the Theatre Pipe Organ?

It might be a good cross over instrument for you.

  • Yes, but both this and the G-major P&F are not quite Bach's most brilliant moments. Both of them sound rather like etudes than serious concert material. Now, I'd really like to hear you play Dorian Toccata, BWV538. Judging by your performance of the little fugue in g, you should be on solid grounds with Dorian Toccata ;)

  • @theratsingers Thanks so much for your comment. For now I'm mostly working on piano, but I'd like to study some of the more serious organ works someday, when I have time!

  • @stephtrick

Ms. Trick - I read your comment about playing (working) on the piano.

Wish you could work more on the organ......you are very good.

  • @stephtrick Have you ever thought about making a tutorial on how to play the church pipe organ? Where I live, an organ player is scarce, if not, empty. I hope to someday play my church's pipe organ but there is no one around who even knows.

  • votes=voices (sorry)

  • Oh what a surprise. I am also an organist. And this is my livelihood. I play in 3 churches. I have a small organ with 5 votes without pedal in one of my church. In another church, I have an electric organ (Johannus) with 60 votes. In my large church, I have a Marcussen and Son - organ with 22 votes. An amazing instrument. And so I play festive music and jazz on the piano at parties, receptions and the like. Are you employed as an organist?

  • AWESOME, BRAVO Stephanie!!!!!

  • Someone was rude enough to say that you had a long way to go on the organ. I do not think that is true. Your playing is deliberate and crisp. There is no confusion with the notes of the piece and your rests are very concise. You are there Steph - like a beautiful flower you will mature and grow. Don't forsake the organ for too much "stride". You are extremely good at what you do.

  • @twolefthanz best wishes to her, sadly though true organists are a rare breed these days, we need people like Stephanie to 'carry the torch'

  • @steelersfanhawaii Agree entirely. What a shame there are not more funded schools to nuture these youngsters into a trade that brings so much pleasure to all. Stephanie is one of such and I will follow her progress.

  • Glorious playing and heavenly beautiful footwork on the pedal board. Let's hope we can have more videos of your organ playing in the future

  • Very nice sound and playing.
