does the hop up unit come with the paper shims and rubber or do you buy them seperate ??

@mrpoopdaddy But I hate cracking open gearboxes too. I like these, they are similar to real firearms, just simpler.

I don't wanna... detract from your guy's business? But couldn't one just make one's own paper spacer thing and put it in instead? It seems like it would accomplish the same thing, considering both of the hop-up bands are identical, just different colors...

@CharlieJulietEcho: Yeah, as with everything you can do it yourself but some people wanna be on the safe side and it's possible the hop up rubber is of a different material with higher friction on the BB.

If you manage to fix the faulty hop up system on your WE GBB then +1 to you.

I know i will try and fix any flaws with the one i am about to order and then see what i can replace to make it more sturdy going for CNC steel etc.

As with all AS weapons there are shortcuts taken to keep price down.

I can understand wanting to be on the safe side and everything, but it's paper. If you can't afford trial and error with paper then you shouldn't be able to afford airsofting. LOL

@CharlieJulietEcho You are saying their hopup band is the same as the original hopup band. And i am saying that's not entirely true. Different materials produce different results. As for the paper spacer... Why shouldn't they include one? At least then people know they can use a paper spacer to give it better performance. I doubt they are selling paper spacers!

And like i said, people that can fix these things on their own can save the money but some people want products that will just work.
