  • was this for fun or some new kind of form they are teaching?? just wondering

  • It' s only part of Hai dong Gumdo form or kata. The forms learnt in Japan are shorter or parted in short ( Iai do ), Korean forms are visually more pleasant. Anyway, they request a loooong training, I' m far from masters skill.

  • i teach gumdo and i wasn't aware they teach gumdo in japan seeing that all well mostly all Koreans hate Japanese what part of wicth form is that mabey your teacher tought it different than i was tought who is your master instructor

  • Gumdo is only korean. The way of saber in Japan is named Iai- do, kendo and kenjustsu depending upon technics used. The saber is quite identical, that' s why haidong forms can be learned as well as japaneses katas. The one presented here is korean form n°7 (upon 10 ), but I should have been more fluid.

  • Sorry 11 forms....

  • i was just wondering...

What does Hae dong gumdo claim?

    It's origins are korean?

is there any older documentation of this?>

  • Haidong Gumdo is traditional korean saber art, like iai- do or kendo in Japan. I cannot say about origin, it has been developed for ages and codified during middle age. The forms used very nice and rich.

  • I see...

  • What... the... heck, are you wearing!? :P

  • Standard Kenpo keikogi and a white hakama. Normally put above the keikogi in Japan and under in Corea.
