She is trying...BUT with all do respect, she is no comparison for someone like Fantasia. Fantasia sings from the bones, and you (if you are a true music fan) will feel it in your bones. Without disrespecting the young lady, and no pun inteded, I sometime feel that it is a little karaokish (is that even a word?), But hey I who am I really to judge, after we all feel music based on our overall life experiences, we give it our own individual meaning...so maybe she is just as good, but not to me.

yah, we all have our own opinion BUT you can't ignore the fact that someone who's produced some of the legends of music (whitney, celine, mariah, streisand, chaka khan etc.) is personally going out of his way to produce and guide charice's career. somebody who has worked with that amount of talent HAS GOT TO KNOW TALENT.

if you think about it, why would anybody who's had the type of career that david foster has had, go out of his way for a girl who isn't really the best looking out there (she's cute but to be honest, she's no christina aguilera or rihanna), who barely knew how to speak english and who is not from north america (or europe even) in a international music biz that's dominated by americans, canadians and british stars. it's because her VOICE is UNDENIABLE.

It depends what you're comparing. Objectively, vocally, Fantasia can't compare when it comes to technical capability, but I think she gives her performances more passion than Charice does. At the moment Charice likes to display her vocal prowess singing popular songs.

Charice, don't sing on cheap ass equipment, it will ruin your reputation. You're on top of the world and you deserve the best. If they want you to sing, ask for the proper instruments.
