The only reason he hasn't uploaded different types of games is because not much has come out lately. earlier this year he did playthroughs for crysis, dragon age homefront and was finishing fallout. And sly was still doing just minecraft.
To all the people wondering why Sly was able to get more subs, the simple answer is that he's more interesting, and he uploads more popular content. For example, Seamus has done only KH2 and classic game mods. There isn't exactly a huge community for things like that. He needs to play games that cater to a more mainstream audience, such as doing more Minecraft videos or playing newer, more popular games.

@TehScottyBoy Seamus has done way more playthroughs than sly. The only reason he hasn't uploaded different types of games is because not much has come out lately. earlier this year he did playthroughs for crysis, dragon age homefront and was finishing fallout. And sly was still doing just minecraft.

To all the people wondering why Sly was able to get more subs, the simple answer is that he's more interesting, and he uploads more popular content. For example, Seamus has done only KH2 and classic game mods. There isn't exactly a huge community for things like that. He needs to play games that cater to a more mainstream audience, such as doing more Minecraft videos or playing newer, more popular games.

@TehScottyBoy Look at Seamus' channel. He has well over 95 series finished. Just because he's uploading pokemon and kingdom hearts now doesn't mean he hasn't allready uploaded cal of duty, halo, minecraft, killingfloor, crysis2, mario, god of war 3, mass effect, limbo, Prince of Persia, Borderlands, Donkey Kong, Resident Evil, dead space, ect ect. I could go on all day listing the videos he has, while Sly has Minecraft, Killing floor, and call of duty sometimes.

@Jrski710 That was actually kind of a typo, I meant he's only done KH2 and classic game mods recently. And it doesn't matter if he uploads the more popular content if he doesn't do it consistently. If a small time music artist creates a song intended to be catered to a more mainstream audience doesn't mean they're going to get famous for it if the rest of their songs don't do the same.

@TehScottyBoy It's to my understanding that you can only play through a game once or twice before it gets boring. He allready beat those games, and has done full walkthroughs with over 100 episodes on most of them. There would be no point in playing a game like fallout 3 for the 4th time, or to play black ops if he isn't having fun.

The first part is a matter of opinion, different people have different humor. But the second part is just a plain lie. Slyfox doesn't do nearly as many playthroughs as Seamus, and Seamus has done a playthrough of 90% of the games slyfox uploads.

Minecraft seems to be the thing right now if you want subs, Seamus barely plays Minecraft Survival, just Parkour which is awesome in my opinion. Sly does it for the fun obviously but Minecraft just took over youtube

@VAZchampion619 I think your selling Slyfox short. Its not quantity of quality. Its quality or quantity. Now i'm not saying Seamus is a bad commentator because he is, in fact my favorite. But its clear that a lot more people like Slyfox. Just because Seamus has more videos doesn't make him a better commentator. I myself have posted almost 70 videos and have barely anybody yet i've seen people with 3 videos and 5x more subs then me. Its not quantity over quality.

@VAZchampion619 I'm one of the more mature homies and i can see why Sly has so many subscribers,its because most people who watch/browse youtube are 11-13 and Sly is very immature at times( if not all the time and thats what makes him funny and wonderful) but it makes it easier for them to "connect" I guess. Seamus is a much more laid back kinda of guy with a adult kind of humor so most of his subscribers will be mature and or adults. :).
