It isn't hard to get to the pattern, but getting it pulled down evenly and fully is another matter. It is damn near impossible to tie this with heavy fluorocarbon leader. Usually when I plan to use this knot I go with a monofilament line for ease.
It does work though, really well for bigger fish like tuna or crevalles.
can anyone tell me a good knot for heavy leader in the 80#-100# range?
