There is a campground in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. It is not down amongst the buttes, but overlooks them. I watched the shadows crawl across the valley at sunset just this last June from the campground. A beautiful site.
You know. I forget. I had a really really old nature cd of some type in a bunch of old stuff I had stashed in a box. You know how you save stuff and old parts of computers etc that are long gone in the past. Anyway, I saw a couple MP3's on it. I listened to this one at the time and I liked it. If I could credit them I would. But I forget. Not sure if I even kept that old thing. I guess the tune lives on in this little video. I even forget the software I used to put it together.
Great photos! When I went through Monument Valley several years ago I had to shoot my photos from the car while moving so I didn't get any very good shots, except maybe one which was similar to your first shot in this video. If I may ask, did you have anything to do with the discovery of Sandia man in a cave on the northeast side of the Sandia Mountains? I think my mother was among the students who excavated Sandia man back in the early 1940s.
you know what highway that is running through there?
