@RuGys123 I think you can see it both ways. The four cylinder has the advantage of weight. But in my opinion the straight six has the advantage of sound and power. But still, power isn't everything and this thing doesn't sound bad at all!

@RuGys123 S14 is perfect in race trim. In stock form the car outhandles the engine by far. I owned one and was left wanting for at least 50% more power. The 'problem' is that the chassis is such a jewel..

My Grandfather had a VW Jetta in the 80's that hugged the road, I can just imagine what the M3 Sport Evolution feels like... I can't wait for this car to be 25 years old, then there will be no legality standing in the way of importing these babies into the U.S.!

@ThebigTH, hello the sports evo is faster than standard car, i have an Evo 13yrs before that i had a Red Ceccotto. Thing is you need to be on a track to notice the difference in the evo againts a regular e30 but on regular roads you will not notice i can assure you that.

My mechanic has an E30 Sport EVO, and the thing looks like he just drove it out of BMW. there is not a mark on it! it is the most beautiful car on the planet. fucking awesome

@e30m3drift A whole bunch; they're very reliable. Plus, you can nail a good one for 5k. Cheap, and fast as crap: it's limited 155mph. Take the speed limiter off and you're looking at 170. Not bad for a used 1980's sedan, eh? :D

@isdochgelogen speed isn't everything, this is one of thee best drivers cars money can buy. Its a true, driving experience unlike todays modern breed of cars packed with electronics. This is a PURE drivers car :)

The //m3 sport evolution came in Misano Red and Jet Black unlike the other variants in Brilliant or Henna Red and Diamond Black the had 238bhp but noticeable less torque than the evo 11 and all sports evo had 2.5ltr engines they are slighly wider at the front wings and lower at the front than regular e30 //m3 and red plug covers plus rubber seals linning the bonnet only on the evo 3 amongst other slight changes too much to list, but not that significanty faster on the road than standard e30 m3

- M3 2.3 Liter (The original one)

- M3 Evolution 2.3 Liter

- M3 Evolution II 2.3 Liter

- M3 Sport Evolution (The last one, came out in 1990)

As far, as I know both cars belong to M GmbH - the red one is a regular M3 E30 and the black one is a sport evolution model with only 11k km Nordschleife lap time is 8.50 (Horst von Saurma, Sport Auto)

@bahnstormero Both cars are Sport Evolutions. The Sport Evolution was available in two colours Jet Black and Brilliant Red.

@bahnstormero yeh i know what you mean mate, the front and rear skirts have 3 ajustment settings. The fact is that every single E30 M3 is brilliant, beautiful and legendary! I hope your a huge fan like i am, as long as i have one of these before i die i will be truly happy.
