  • Great video -- thanks for posting it. I am curious about the skein you're winding from. . .is it on a skein winder, or are you holding it in your hands under tension?

  • Winding directly off skeins - it depends on the skein type - the motor on this isn't real strong, so the slightest resistance will stop it - and that is good I guess - so the motor isn't taxed. If you have an easy flowing skein, you can put it in an ice cream bucket on the floor and wind directly from that. If you get resistance, then wind the skein with a ball winder first, then wind off the ball and onto a cone w/ this winder. For hanks, they go from yarn swift, to ball winder, to cone winder.

  • This is great! I just ordered one of these and am eagerly awaiting shipment (from US to Oz) but I have never actually seen one in action. Thanks for making this vid available. Cheers.

  • I want one now! wah! :)

  • I got mine from the fellow who invented them. His name is Aden Bankord, loacted in Wisconsin, USA. His phone number is: (920)648-8088. I have no affiliation, yada, yada. He's just a super guy to deal with and I love mine! It helps me a lot.

  • Fantastic video! If I order directly from the inventor, is the price a bit lower? I really want one of these now!!

  • Thank you! I shopped around and did find the best price from the inventor - superb packing job too!

  • I appreciate the info, and again, really nice job on the video. It truly is worth a million words!
