Perry tried this on a record with Glen Balard (heard of Aerosmith's former producer?) but Island decided to drop her and the album. Later on, Perry sold this to Clarkson since it was never published and of course, it became a huge hit for Clarkson. Meanwhile, on her second effort, Perry hit it huge with another song, Hot n Cold.
