@proatliving We must of not played the same game, AI was pretty decent, monsters surround you, enemies flank you and take cover, the battles were done really well in a deep, dark, underground area, you can go from a firefight to going off in a different direction, blowing out all of their lamps and sneak up behind them with the knife. Only bad thing about this game is the currency, finding bullets and using them for money was shit.

its a great game, but I got pissed as hell when I was to escort this guy through a gauntlet of exploding acid bubbles- he simply strolled all the way getting killed endlessly many times. You can´t sell gear at the shops.. there are NO stats to tell the poor gun from a better one.. the melee combat is CRAP, though throwing knives are great fun.. *sigh* acrobatics are like that of quake and can´t sync with my stealth instincts..

Epic atmosphere.. Bourbon and Stepfather- great characters. 85/100!

Loved the book, even though the game doesn't seam to follow it that much. I actually think that is quite good, it wouldn't work out otherwise :P Read the book, at least try and if you're not hooked after a few pages and feel like you want to read more then don't, but if you do you will love the game even more! :)

The beginning seems so cool the first time as you almost fall off a cliff, but the next time you play it you're like "Been there, done that..." and wish you could skip over that part? Thats how this game seems to me, which isnt very old school. I could be wrong though.

@Tr0m0sainT To an extent, I agree with you. I haven't bought this game, definitely thinking about it though. Might run up to Walmart in like 5 minutes to get it actually. Of course a lot of people play it through on normal the first time through, I for one don't want to be struggling to learn the controls when I'm getting my head blown off by getting shot in the leg (shit like that happens sometimes). I typically tend to go through a game a second time on the hardest difficulty though.
