Back in the day, Golden Axe wasn't about the beasts; it was about fighting alongside your friends and family to see who could kick the most ass and steal the most magic potions from the elves.

This game is so "improved" from the previous ones that it loses that nostalgic feeling. Why only one character to choose from instead of 3 (or more)? Why use beasts as a GIMMICK? Who's that woman supposed to be? I don't recognize her.

If they removed "Golden Axe" from the title, would it even matter?

I just wanted to comment on the game.  As a Golden Axe and Hack'n slash fan I love it! I will say it is not for everyone, and there are some tearing in some levels but it is not a constant thing. The music, sound effects, and animations are very good. There are challenges.Some people wine that it is repetitive. Duh! It's a hack' slash!

I can't wait to check out all the creatures to ride and use their special abilities. Crushing enemies underfoot with rhino- creature wearing the armor looks really fun!

Im a big fan of throws and grappling in games, so that Gorilla like monster will probably be my steed of choice :-)

i want the giant alligator thing but sadly you only get 5 beasts to ride on :( witch i think sucks and should add way more
