  • Hey Amelia! What a nice place you guys have. I stumbled across your site a few weeks ago when doing THE RESEARCH.- I feel much better about going forward- even with knowing about the many complications. Risk/ Benefit all that. Knowledge is Power!

-- Must tell u about the CRAB APPLES- like Hans- my Dad was German and he would make jelly from them! Awful to eat but the jelly was nice.

Thanks for sharing your POWER with us.

I Hope YOU R WELL- not in hospital.

    Miss your posts. Be WELL!!

  • Your large tree out front is a Bradford Pear.

  • Awesome!! "Crepe 'Murder'" LOL!

  • LMAO you guys are sooo cute! Joel is the next youtube star :)

  • you seem to live in such an adorable little neighborhood. Gorgeous house, by the way.

  • happy anniversary for meeting today!

  • Thanks!!! I was considering telling the story in detail in a vid but i am cleaning out the garage today... You are so sweet and considerate

  • Ohh and what a lovely home.

  • Thank you! I LOVE it...

  • Heyy Amelia I just love watching the joel Garden show lol he looks so happy

  • He has seemed the happiest since starting the project. I am so proud and happy too

  • you do such a great job with your garden and your mowing! way to go!!!

  • Love the video Joel is really enjoying the camera.

  • He is warming up.. the first couple he was kinda put off, now he's like "Is it time to make the video?" so funny how he looks forward to doing it now

  • Good video, thanks for taking us around your garden again.

Joel should start a garden channel!

  • He's happy to be here, He doesn't know anything about Youtube and wouldn't be interested. but he does enjoy the comment on the garden vids and is having fun sharing the garden. When harvest time comes i think he will do a couple of cooking segments too

  • Does Joel have a channel? He should

  • LOL.. he wouldnt

  • joel looks ummm super excited with his lil shovel:)

  • You have a lovely garden, but be carefull with lily flowers as they are toxic to cats! x

  • The cats NEVER leave the house

  • Don't show your car tags! There are too many freaks out there!

  • That is not my car.. but thanks!

  • Wow, the garden looks awesome! ARe you trimming the zucchini plant or are you planning to put in something for it to grow up?

The pear tree in the front yard is probably a Bradford peartree. They're ornamental and only live about 10-15 years, so plant a longer living tree near it.

  • you guys have a beautiful home, picture perfect, only thing missing is the kids? Are you going to have kids someday?

  • Ni kids, tummy tuck and hernia repair is enough belly trauma.. but we have considered adoption. The plan for now is childless by choice

  • I REALLY LOVE YOUR GARDEN! so beautiful and so much care and commitment in it, thanks for sharing :D

  • I love it too... he has put so much care and effort into it

  • i need joel to come fix my strawberry's i planted them like 2or 3 months ago and they're not growing yet...

  • Get new ones and good soil, if you start now it is not too late. sounds like they may have gotten hit by a freeze if you planted 2-3 months ago

  • joel needs his own gardening show! loved the fence around the garden i think that is what i am going to do, thanks for the idea.

  • We DO love it when he eats the veggies and leaves right off the ground!! LOL You guys are so cute :)

  • I love this series! It's fun to the hear both of you and the excitment that you show for the plants and just growing your own veggies in general!

  • These videos are the essence of our relationship, we are best buddies and we love being together, it is fun to be able to show that part of my life as well

  • Well done to Joel for his hard work it is now paying off,you both have a beautiful house.

  • Thank you so much! I am proud of the home

  • Make me a mojito for cinco de mayo!

  • So cool to eat straight out of the garden.

ps, remove diseased or damaged fruit, it wastes energy on a new plant and attracts bugs.

  • hehe..I was gonna warn you about the bunnies, too! Also, you might wanna put some wire over the strawberries..the birds will get them before you do!!!

  • yeah.. I was watching birds raid us this morning

  • Wow you two have a lovely home and Joels garden is great. Just a tip he might want to mulch between his rows to keep the weeds down because they will grow right along with the plants and by the time the beans are ready to pick it will be hard to find them. ;)

  • Thanks!

  • fabulous guys! looks good enough to eat! LOL!

  • Joel is so proud of his garden...I love it! I just planted one of my Earthboxes with strawberries and I'm excited to see if they turn out.

  • You should come see it in person!

  • Yum!!!!

  • Yaa. brocolli. Yes we love to see Joel eat the produce right off the plant.

  • I knew it!

  • Wow! You two have a beautiful home and garden! I'm jealous :).

  • don't forget Awesome cute hubby! yeah I am floating on a cloud of awesome for sure

  • Your home and backyard are huge and beautiful! I want a big house like that..maybe I'll have to relocate

  • South Carolina is very affordable

  • yaaay you got your mint plant! :D

omgosh you have such a beautiful home!

    love the garden vids! :)

  • Thank you! I have been wanting to show it for a while now, Spring is a good time

  • more hans

  • haha!!! he is SO funny. He is blunt in a way i could never begin to describe

  • Your front yard tree is a Bradford Pear. Be sure and thin out the branches or a windstorm will come and break off huge chucks of it. After about 12 years they start breaking apart if you don't keep them thinned out. My neighborhood is full of them that look like crap now.

  • I told Joel that and Bradford was on the tip of my tongue. The house is 8 years old so the tree is about that. We will get it smaller I promise

  • truth

  • Farmer Joel is great!!!! Keep up the good work!

  • Your gardens are doing well!!!! OMG...I'm so jealous!!! :-)

  • That's cute... Hans eats the crab apples... It's funny, because I was just talking to my mother-in-law (who you know is German) about the tree in the neighbor's yard near her house - and they have a HUGE apple tree - and nobody ever picks or eats the apples... she said they are sour.. but I'm curious. I wish I had a garden - but I'll just have to live with my little balcony box lol.. pretty soon I'll transfer my tomato sprouts out there... :-)

  • lol LOVEE when he eats straight out of the ground like that lol. too funny :P

  • Compost with cat poop.....now that made my day LOL

  • There are boxes you can buy to help you compost cat and dog, um, poo, but in general, it's not something that composts well.

    Yay for gardens!

  • Truth! Avoid composting that for goodness sake!

  • Hey Amelia....ask your gardening guru hubby if its too late to start a little garden like this, or to maybe put a few things out in planters? Id love to have some zuccini and peppers, snow peas and broccoli...Love the vids btw!

  • not too late, he started a little early..

  • hahaha thats funny my boyfriends name is Hans it is so german but hes swedish haha

  • I think a Mojito has milk I think you're drinking a Watermelon Daquiri. Yummy!

  • a traditional mojito has sugar and mint crushed in the glass then rum and lime juice, no milk... we just add other fruit too

  • So jealous of your big yard and beautiful garden! Mmmm and those mojitos.
