@VocaLiveHD I'm not exactly sure on the laundry detergent but I believe the salt is needed for the chemical reaction to take place. I'm assuming since table salt is cheap and easy to get a hold off, its cheaper for the company not to include it in the powder since you need so much of it lol.
@xHiyokoChanx Ahh okay ^-^ I couldn't get a hold of enough salt and we use laundry powder at my house so I was just wondering if it were to affect the process if I didn't have them.. Since I don't have much time before a costume party I'm going to wear this costume to, I dyed the sleeves a few hours ago leaving them out, turned out looking the same as yours :D Thank you for the great tutorial by the way :3
@VocaLiveHD Yeah I forgot to mention liquid laundry detergent is better since it dissolves more evenly without clumps but it doesn't hurt to use powder :) and awesome! sometimes it is hit or miss with salt since one time I actually just straight forgot to add salt and it came out nice still :)

What do the cup of salt and tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent do exactly?
