@polskiepilot Dont waste your time getting a 250 streetbike. If you want a 750 get a 750. I started on a gsxr 600, it doesnt matter what size the bike is just take it easy at first.
@Traxxasx21 just try them out and see which is more comfortable. I liked the gsxr more than the cbr in comfort. but they are both nice bikes. I would recoment the gsxr.
agreed, i started on gsxr 1000, just watched some videos and did research and got on it and drove perfectly first time, never had a dirtbike or nothing....its all about control and knowing the bike as well as your limits, 250's are a waste of time, your gonna get old with it and upgrade within a few months
bigsamjoon is it ok to release the clutch that fast? im only 17 and i wanna get a 750 in about a year or 2 so im gunna be new to the motorcycle world!
@ShuddupChip if you have never riding a motorcycle before on the street get a 250. your not wasting your time if it saves your life. ive seen to many riders get 600's and 750's for their first bike and i shit you not, they laid it down the first week having it. too much power with no experience is a recipe for disaster. safe riding
@ShuddupChip The 08-09 GSXR 600 has ABC mode. The modes do not cut power but desensitizes the throttle. A mode is full throttle power. B mode changes the throttle response to like 60% power similar to my old ninja 650r and C mode throttle feels the same as a ninja 250. I rode my friend's ninja 250 and it was a lot of fun in the street, but was scary at times in the freeway or highway since there is no power to throttle out. IMO, get an 08-09 GSXR 600. You'll get tired of the 250 in a week.
I'm guessing you'll be another big red bloody landing strip for other motorcyclists when you come off. You're only seventeen and aiming far too high. Get a 400 for your first bike if you intend to jump up to a 750 afterwards. If you've never ridden before and step straight onto a 750, the insurance will probably be more than the bike is worth.
I knew it. Do you know off hand what line/ model they are lol. Its just, Im looking in to gettin a GSX-R 600 or 1000. Im thinking either a k6 or k4 and Im looking for some good shoes to ride in. I like the white ones because they look perfect on a bike you know. Thankss man for the help. Love the bike!
i down shifted to accelerate... its not gp shift... if it was gp shift i would have pulled up on the gear lever to shift down rather than push down on the gear lever to shift down...
Is this off Jeffrey lol in Irvine haha I live in lake forest

and yea its ok to drop the clutch like that. only when starting off in first gear you need to release slowly.

I know this is a silly question but its for "bigsamjoon". What shoes are you wearing in that video? They look perfect with street bikes.
cholzbaugh 2 years ago
just some DC shoes, they are comfy all different colors to go with the bike... if only they made a patch for the shifter
