Honestly, half of his music on his album they will not even play on the radio. Even the album doesn't have certain songs that have leaked. Call that one coincidence (state run radio). So honestly the media is not helping him gain financially. Although it may look as if he's promoting himself, honestly he's promoting a message w meaning. I'm all for self-promoting if the media is against what you stand for!

@ovenification IMO this isn't self promoting, it's more about what he wants to see in the world, and what the people around us want too. This isn't trying to sell a "consumer good", if it's trying to sell anything it's the idea, and the ideals of a better, more united world, which is something that can't be bought, but only attained through the actions of ourselves and others.

@OhSnapAJedi I disagree. I was thrown off a little by the fact the album wasn't really a straight hip hop album but really he focused more on the message than the genre of music. He came off on every track, and lupe is a really eclectik artist and that showed through this project. I loved it.
