Whenever I go top as nasus, I end up playing like this. That is, ignoring the other champion(s) in the lane and farming q. When kill opportunities finally arrive, the enemy is always shocked the see that I'm suddenly going from completely passive mode to taking out half of their health with q on a sub-3 second cooldown thanks to cdr.

The only reason you'd want Wriggles is that with a crapload of farm and a couple other items you can go solo baron.

Otherwise the proc just messes up your q farm.

I dont like lucidity. Nasus's biggest problem is ad carries because of the kiting problem he has, so mercs is so much stronger with a frozen heart for the cdr.

But also as Nasus you want 40% CDR ASAP and honestly you will not get the blue buff in your games 'cause that belongs to the caster.

With lucidity, Spirit Visage in the lanephase you will have about 33-38% CDR. Meaning you get more dmg at your q, in the end being superior to not having CDR. Even if you buy damage items.

It's just superior, end of story :)

Also, he could have made the decision quite early on because he farmed well and singed pushed hard, he came out with maxiumum farm and gold so buying merc treads and getting ur cooldown from a more useful item like the insignia just makes more sense

Siphoning strike his nasus' Q move, anytime it kills any kind of unit it adds damage to it, meaning that you can farm it high enough to 1Hitko anything, ofcourse that would take ages but still :P

Man if you max Q first it just leads to Q costing more mana so you cast it less, the base damage doesn't do all that much. Getting Q to 2 and leaving it is the way to go.
