this movie has been so underrated... I saw it by first time on tv, back then on 99', and I still have the recorded VHS... I love to watch it over and over again...
it underrated as it makes no sense without reading the book and alot of scenes missing, mainly at beginning were a ton of scenes are replaced with the 1 scene with The Emperor and the navigator talking about the plot to destroy the atreides
Sardokaurs are very over rated elite troops,I once slapped a whole army of them, then went and pwned the Emperor and because God Empire of Dune of the freman. All in a days work as well
Only because they were, for the first time, facing an army of men that was actually tougher then they were.
Men who rode gigantic monsters onto the battlefield, and were under the command of He Who Can Be Many Places At Once, who had already seen how he won the battle.
I love Dune! I read both prequel trilogies and am now about two thirds through Dune. I recommend reading the prequels first, or at least the Prelude trilogy, because they gave me such a rich backstory that has allowed me to you to form a deeper understanding of events and characters in the original series. For example, Leto and Kynes are not fleshed out much in Dune, but if you've read Prelude, you know a whole lot about them. Reading the Legends gave me a sense of the scale of the universe.
why paul have a pet dog?i dont remember him having a dog in the book
