IMO both Pacquiao and Mayweather have been running circles around each other since '09 when talks of their megafight started to come up. To be honest...now i think May 5th is too soon. Lets be realistic, the negotiations for a fight may not happen until the end of January (at the earliest). Once negotiations are done, then they have to go on a press tour to promote the fight, which may take a week or two. So training may not begin until mid-February at the earliest. That gives them a few weeks to train.

IMO both Pacquiao and Mayweather have been running circles around each other since '09 when talks of their megafight started to come up. They both share the equal amount of blame for the fight not happening. Floyd is ready and focused and has had to resort to chasing Pacquiao because *1. Pac really doesn't appear to be assertive enough to make this fight happen and *2. Arum truly doesn't want this fight at all. Arum would rather have Bradley beat Pacquiao and have a rematch or any other conclusion that doesn't involve Floyd.

To be honest...now i think May 5th is too soon. Lets be realistic, the negotiations for a fight may not happen until the end of January (at the earliest). Once negotiations are done, then they have to go on a press tour to promote the fight, which may take a week or two. So training may not begin until mid-February at the earliest. That gives them a few weeks to train.

Reports are out that Pac and Floyd spoke on the phone and that Pacquiao told Floyd he'd fight him anytime so long as he gets 50% of the revenue. Arum is still stuck on needing the fight to be in late May. Arum should be happy it's a split promotion; this way Pac doesn't get to see or know how much money is truly in the entire pot.

If Arum's feeling toward this fight were to change within the next few days in wanting this fight as much as Pacquiao and Floyd, there would be enough time. It's just sad that many fans are going to believe late May and an outdoor arena would have made a difference.
