  • That one dude was the voice of Hong Kong Phuy. One of my favorite shows as a kid.

Loved this movie. They don't make them like this anymore. :)

  • Thank you for such a treat. This is the greatest "rainy day" movie of all time. So easy and free flowing. The movie is good. Then the sheriff comes in, and it gets better. And then Richard Pryor comes in and it gets even better. And then they do the scene in the bathroom and turn Gene Wilder into a black man with no rhythm, and it gets better. And then Richard Pryor disguises himself as the porter and shuts up Devereaux, and it becomes great.

Fabulous from beginning to end. Thank you

  • Loved it....Thanks for uploading this gem.

  • that crash scene scares the crap out of me!

  • great movie!!! thanks for uploading!

  • "Take it easy, killer. Stay loose!"

  • So this train was really wrecked? It sure doesn't look like a model crashing!

  • @PotatoGunsRule I think they used a model and some clever editing. There's no way they put the actors in that much danger.

  • 0:42

    Train: Wazzup guys!

  • Thanks for giving me the chance to watch one of my favorite movies again after all these years.

  • @marledebakkerunicorn Glad you enjoyed it.

  • nice!!!!!!

  • One person is taking the bus.

  • mmm lady gardens...Sorry there was no need for that.

  • Viel Spaß bei den Aufräumarbeiten

  • This was AWESOME.... no film of today could touch these classics..

  • They don't makem like this no more.. Thanks for the upload. Love it!!!!

  • IT'S GRINNING!!!!

  • And to think, all of this for a couple of fake paintings.

  • i loved the henry mancini score.he was such a great musician.the best film composer ever

  • Thanks for uploading! Fun movie. :-)

  • when the cars uncoupled shouldnt the front of trains brakes have come on also???

  • @hifijohn The probably did. But you figure you have almost a full train heading at full speed. It would take time to slow down. Where as the last car by itself would be able to stop much faster. Less Inertia.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, the Silver Streak is arriving at track 4... the gift shop... main hall...

  • It looks like they use a Canadian Pacific Railway FT, F3 or F7 diesel and Southern Pacific's San Joaquin Daylight coaches for the movie, just repaint them.

  • The one person who disliked this movie should have been in the gift store

  • What a great 70s movie.

  • Gift shop never had a chance..

    LOL

  • @SalemStorm

    haha yes it did

  • RIP Richard Pryor!!! He was the best of the Best!

  • yey

  • The train looks like a cute little toy dog.

  • Great movie!!!!!!

  • Rest in peace, Jill Clayburgh. You'll be missed.

  • at least the F-7 died happy lol

  • real victim was that poor old F-7.....lol

  • @speedskiff2 yeah, but at least they salvaged the adorable little Fiat X /.9...and the adorable Jill Clayburgh...:-)

  • @gurlsingerfan if I remember right, you had to lift motor to change timing belt. And yes, Jill was a sweetheart.

  • I've alway had a thing for Jill Clayburgh(Hilly)

  • Incredible special effects for a 1976 movie. Better than many of today's movies.

  • I was well exited watching that train go through all those full sized sets. CGI's crap.

  • I was in high school when this great movie came out. This was a golden age of cinema comedy! Good days too. Just didn't know it then, unfortunately- but, who does, when they're young? Anyway...Wilder, Pryor, Scatman, Clayburg, and Beatty. Just didn't get any better!

  • This is my first time seeing this one...I've seen the other films they have done together....Pryor and Wilder have great chemistry.

  • Wow! I haven't seen this is 30 years. Just as good as I remember -- and yes, every bit of it is real, no CGI. Love the Henry Mancini score.

  • God.....I haven't seen this movie in well......I don't know how long....not since the early 80's.

Thanks to tasdau for posting....brings back some great memories for an old fart like me.

  • Take it easy Killer, stay loose!

  • Thanks very much for taking the time to upload, this movie brings back a lot of memories for me. :-)

  • Airports and rail stations are just big shopping malls, with planes and trains as side attractions.

  • My Favorite - when REAL Movies were made! Thanks for Posting!

  • Great movie and thanks for uploading it :D

  • You can see at 1:00, when the remaining cars stop inside the station you can see the base of the CN Tower just behind the "Chicago" sign. This movie was filmed in Toronto, Canada.

  • Your mistaken it was filmed in Calgary Alberta Canada and what your seeing is the husky tower which was right next to the station there. The CN tower was right next to a Roundhouse which is now Skydome.

  • My mistake it was filmed in CNW's union station. the crash was done in two airport hangers in LA.

  • The CN tower wasnt located near the station in Toronto, However in Calgary the Husky tower is next to the ststion there. It was filmed in CNW's union station. The crash was done in two airport hangers in LA.

  • tight movie but pyror an wilder got better movies together

  • I dunno... the last time I took Amtrak on a cross country trip, it was so infuriating (delays, bad service) that by the time the trip was over I wanted the train to smash through a station or two. With extreme prejudice.

  • I saw an episode of Sex and the City where Carrie and Samantha ride a train to California. And I saw the toilet/shower thing. And that was first class. You have my sympathy. As much as I love trains, I fly. Flying is no picnic either.

  • Great movie. Thanks for uploading! Cool crash and a fine ending. The only thing that sort of bugged me was that the cops gave a civilian a gun with extra ammo to come along with them. Were they telling him it was okay to shoot the bad guys? Crazy.

  • Thanks for putting this on..... been thinking about this film for years... was 13 when it came out.... I miss Pryor.... What a film!!!!!

  • What a great ending to a great movie!

"HELLLO CHICAGO! I GOTTA DRINK TO DAT!....YEAH!"

  • @csselement i was going to say the same thing...superb ending

  • i love this part of the movie, it is cool.

  • Great Train Movie! I remember this from when I was 10 yrs old back in 1976. I loved that year!

  • Should've added: In Memory of Scatman Crothers, Richard Pryor and Pat McGoohan

  • yes, most definitely.

wait...the movie makers, or the guy who uploaded this?

cause the movie makers cant add that in. XP

  • Ray Walston is dead too.

  • I wonder who's going to pay for all that.

  • hey soundtrack for this movie is avalible at Amazon

  • THANK YOUUUU for uploading this rare pearl of an action comedy!!! I've been missing this movie for ages!!!!

  • ohhh yeah i remember when the train crashed through the building when i was smaller

  • On the licence plate of the convertible Richard Pryor is driving at 1:50 It says either RP or PP3907. If it says RP3907, the letters and numbers are a somewhat freaky coincidence. RP (Richard Pryor). The numbers are somewhat close to his birth (1940) off by one year and death (2005) off by two years. If the licence is PP then it is just coincidence the car is yellow like...well you know.

  • Rest In Peace Scatman :)

  • No CGI.

  • Damn straight.

  • I feel SO sorry for the train...

  • I miss the '70s. They would write an entire plotline just so they could have planes, traines and cruise ships smashing into things. Did anyone care about the plot of this when they were a kid? No, we just watched it so we could see the train crash into the station. Admit it.

  • I cared about the plotline, atomic train has a good crash too but the story line is soo poor that it is still hated by most people, so no not everyone always watches for the crash.

  • Loved this movie as a kid

  • Richard Kiel has metal teeth in this, and this was before he was Jaws in the Bond movies!

  • Thanks so much for posting this! this was one of my favorites as a kid and don't think I had seen it since. Great stuff.

  • "Hello, Chicago, hello! Gotta drink to that!" :)

  • It's just damaged, it dosn't smile if you think that xD

  • its always those last few dumbass people that are always left and guessing lol

  • Thats what you call an engine made of more than steel!

  • That turned out to be a good movie, well worth watching.

  • I want in All Languages in this movie please

  • haha at 0.09 u can so tell that is a model

  • Actually its not a model. Its been documented that they built a fake set that looked like Toronto's Union Station (which doubled for Chicago) and they built a scale 1:1 dummy engine and they pushed it through the set with a truck. Simplw but awesome really.

  • wow, I never knew that and always wondered how they did that. it must have been pretty expensive and it must have been very well planned to get that filmed. they had no tries so,did they? thank you.

  • The emergency cords were all supposed to be cut. But, if you look hard at 1:08 look above the porter, you can see a cord.

  • One of the first movies I ever saw at the Drive-in. This and Airport 77.

    Brings back memories.

  • I love Richard Pryor's comment after the cars come to a stop and he's walking into the station.
