  • Rand is a milder version of Ron :D

  • Wow, a CNN interviewer that I'm not mad at after a Ron/Rand Paul interview. Props!

  • Ron Paul is what our country needs! He can fix everything he speaks his mind and he knows how do get shit done! We need him right now!!!! Our country needs him!!!!!

  • Some people say Ron Paul is too old to be president...he has been in congress for fucking decades and lived through the rises and falls of America. The Doctor knows whats best.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • July 4, 2011, Rand Paul was conditioned from birth to become like his Dad. We do not want any more career Politians and there must now be Term Limits. When you have been in too long, you need to get out. But only Worthy People should ever be in Politics. Look at Soros, Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy, Kerry, Clintons and many others. They are lousy people. Get them Out now, Especially get rid of that Evil, Wicked Obama.

  • awkward, why are they showing rands face next to ron's while ron's has to answer some stupid question "what advice would you give to your son as he enters into congress" like he's a 12 year old at a baseball game... jeeze. fuckign moronic

  • Rand Paul is a LASIK eye surgeon. This is an elective eye surgery that many eye doctors have pushed a sales pitch and ignored the serious side effects. Rand Paul does not practice the oath doctors make do no harm. In fact Rand Paul does cornea transplants as well which LASIK weakens the cornea that leads to the eye bulging that requires a cornea transplant. So Rand messing up your cornea with LASIK and then can give you a transplant which many times is rejected anyway sadly. He butcher eyes.

  • @Adam6275 Everyone I've ever talked to in person, who's had LASIK surgery, has loved their results. It has given them a new-found freedom of vision that they have never experienced. Are there risks? Sure. EVERY medical treatment has risks. Bulging corneas is a possible adverse effect, but you're wrong to imply it happens to everyone and that he does this in a greedy scheme to "butcher eyes" and take people's money. You're derision is misguided and insulting.

  • @rmcdaniel423 You're lack of compassion for people who's lives have been seriously damaged by the side effects of LASIK (which are not correctable by eyeglasses like a refractive error is) speaks for itself. Most people when they have LASIK are not even aware that thins the cornea that can lead to cornea failure at some point which may require a cornea transplant which Rand Paul does also. This for an "elective" surgery.

  • @Adam6275 Whoa. Back up, bud. I have no lack of compassion for the few that suffer damaging side effects. I have compassion for anyone that suffers. That is a mean-spirited strawman argument with no basis. Every competent doctor, including Dr. Paul I would assume, explains the procedure and the risks. This is true of ALL surgeries, not just LASIK. If your friends went to Dr. Nick Riviera from the Simpsons, direct your vitriol at them, not me.

  • @rmcdaniel423 I know people that have had problems after a number of years of "succesful" surgery and they think they will just need a pair of glasses (which they were suppose to be free of) to be ok. They find out otherwise and their poor vision is uncorrectable because of the serious complication of Ectasia.

  • (dyslexic) this ron paul looks like a big liar..i know how liars lool like..i have photos where he shows devil handsigns..and photo where he looks like georg buch..they are one big family..dont belive in politicians..they are all on the same team,,and they are liars..and this ron paul is a big liar..its writen in his face..are you blind or what? i wold belive more in the devil than this ron paul..he is a joke..even his name soands fake..ron paul? they ar all related to the queen og england

  • @Kimindigo You sir, are unintelligent.

  • @TheLegendaryLoboSolo ..and you sir are ignorant

  • @Kimindigo You say Ron Paul's name sounds fake, and I'm ignorant for not agreeing with you?

  • @TheLegendaryLoboSolo (dyslexic) ron paul is a freemason and illuminati..i have video where he is giving freemansons secret handshakes.and video where he many times shows hand signs of devils horn,,illuminati members love showing the devils horn hand sign..he is a enemie..wolf in sheep`s clothing and a big liar..you can see that hes a liar are you blind? if ron paul was fighting for us he wold have been killed long time ago..why he is alive is because he is on the enemies side WAKE UP SHEEPLE

  • @Kimindigo wow

  • A judge in Florida on Mon became the second judge to declare Obama's healthcare reform law unconstitutional, in the biggest legal challenge yet to fed authority to enact the law. This Obama needs to GO... I have never seen a more lazy president in the White House. But he sure likes the party's I can't wait till hes' gone.

  • The judge is correct; the law is unconstitutional. Mandating that people buy private health insurance is unconstitutional. Also, since you can't buy health insurance across state lines, there's no interstate commerce being affected. If the Supreme Court strikes down Obamacare, it will be as if Obama never accomplished a damn thing during his Presidency.

With that said, I do think that people who can't afford health insurance should be helped.

  • @Edgehead10075 So far, I can't disagree with either of your points. the only thing I will add is I can't wait till next yr. Nov.

  • That's refreshing. I have never seen this channel.

It good seeing a journalist interview truthers without purposefully twisting their words and misquoting them.

  • unfair and biased lol

  • lol he is strikingly similar to ron paul. MINI RON PAUL

  • @ everyone who can read:

Don't fear a participatory government of, by and for the people. On the other hand, be very weary of a so-called representative government that supports corporate special interests while ignoring what's best for the people.

  • Choices? In england you can get supplemental insurance to cover what the national plan doesn't cover. He obviously doesn't know the benefits of single-payer.

  • Why not let the national plan compete with private insurers instead of just letting private companies supplement the national plan?

  • I'm very worried about Rand Paul getting into politics...

  • What's the difference between him and his father?

  • @Edgehead10075 - Good question, what?

  • Are you wary of Ron Paul, too?

  • @Edgehead10075 - No, but then Ron doesn't make such idiotic statements as his son does, plus he's older and hopefully wiser, but I have issues with him as well, but then what politican can anyone really trust.

  • I actually like Ron Paul for a time. But the Libertarian label is a guise and their views is a throwback to pre-Civil rights ethos that are frankly unnecessary and counterproductive. Ron is full of shit and his son is overflowing with shit.

  • @MiaoPurrington Don't insult without explaining. I wouldn't mind hearing your 'splaining.

  • @rockhardxrocker Agree that the last line of my comment was excessive. Sorry I didn't provide the information to back up my stance, but I am lazy so bear with if you can. If you can't feel free to bash. Thank you

  • @MiaoPurrington I've looked into different political philosophies, and limited gov seems to make sense. Is there something I'm missing? Or are you the liberal type to just call libertarianism "racist", for some arbitrary reason, and side step the entire argument to then relish in your satisfied self righteous unwarranted elitism?

  • @rockhardxrocker --- In my opinion, the Paul family's libertarian views are extremely right-wing. Libertarian views can vary widely over the political spectrum, left to right. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the left-libertarian Noam Chomsky. There was a time when I too liked Ron Paul, until I heard his views on stem-cell research and biological evolution. Yeah that's right, Paul denies evolution because he believes the talking snake theory of the Bible. He's a delusional idiot!

  • "Left-libertarian" is an oxy moron. Libertarians believe in personal freedom on BOTH social and fiscal issues.

  • @Edgehead10075 A left-libertarian is otherwise known as an anarchist.

  • I realize that the term "left-libertarian" is used in other countries, but, in America, it's an oxy moron. Either you are a libertarian, or you aren't. There aren't different types. So-called "left libertarians" don't fit the definition of American libertarianism.

  • @Edgehead10075 I think you are confusing the Libertarian Party with libertarianism. There ARE different types, and they are vastly different. The term libertarian was invented by anarchists in the 1800's. It wasn't until the 1970's that right-wing capitalists starting using it.

  • Paul is against federal funding for ANY medical research, and it really has nothing to do with his religious views. However, you're correct in describing his views on evolution.

  • @FUCKyourGODmyth I also don't believe in his bible thumping views, but on logical grounds and his views on politics, he has some ground to stand on. It all depends on when we think/define when life begins. The definition of the beginning of human life is sort of arbitrary. I would be pissed if someone said that life beings at 18, when I was a teenager, and therefore I had no rights and my mom could have my life aborted.

Despite his views, he values/ wouldn't act above/against the constitution.

  • @rockhardxrocker Of course it makes sense. On paper. The problem is that the Tea Party's political agenda, while specific in demands, after careful consideration, I find that they are not rooted in reality. The no-government populist rhetoric will only last for so long. Rand Paul was successfully elected, but he will soon find out that he will have to deal with the dreaded bureaucracies, his fanatical sect have been preaching against.

  • She's saying that they're racist because they're for allowing restaurants and other places of business to not serve or hire blacks.

  • @Edgehead10075 But that's incorrect. Just because you value the free speech rights of neo nazi's doesn't mean you're one of them. You just have to put up with them, for the better good of free speech rights; and a right is not a right if you can just take it away if you don't agree with someone. So that's fraudulent for her to label the Paul's so hastily and heinously. Such labels are very damaging, and shouldn't be thrown around so carelessly and senselessly.

  • @MiaoPurrington I concede though that the world is a lot more complex than some libertarians would like to believe, and that doing things such as putting our dollar back on the gold standard now would only send our creditors dumping their dollar reserves, 1 trillion, and running for the door. I wonder if such imperialist actions, such as controlling oil, propping up our fiat currency, etc. Are necessary to our survival as a nation, since we hardly manufacture anything.

  • @MiaoPurrington But I also wonder if we would have been better off staying a Libertarian nation from the beginning. Our dollar has dropped 95% since the federal reserve regime came to power. In spite of our spending, I wonder if we'd be richer today if we kept the dollar attached to precious metals. Though we wouldn't wield much of a bargaining chip with China as we do now, but would our overall hypothetical boost in wealth make up for that.

  • @MiaoPurrington --- You're absolutely right! While Ron Paul verbally denounces fascism, he apparently can't see too clearly while wearing his god goggles. Theotards are naively the greatest supporters of the corporate fascist state.

  • @FUCKyourGODmyth You are crazy.

  • Rand Paul is against the war in Iraq.

  • at least Ron had the guts to say the last administration did help with this fuck up! dickhead bush.

  • Obama's a dickhead himself.

  • Cash for clunkers is an enviornment programme! A world that is based on making money and not on carring for one another is bound to fail! And that is why AMerica had a Depression in 1929, a recession in 1981, 1991, 2001 and 2007. This last recession should actually be a depression but the stimulas worked.

  • Lol @ that. The stimulus most certainly did not work. Cash for clunkers was a joke.

  • America had a recession in the early eighties due to Jimmy Carter's moronic liberal policies.

  • Go Rand.....I need a Rand Paul sign to go next to my Ron Paul sign.

It appears the founders of the Constitution did a good job of building in corrective capacity into our government. Keep voting and keep working at a local level.

  • Wow, go Paul family!

  • Our foreign policy is f'd up!, we have over 6000 bases in America and up to 700 foreign bases in every continent except Antarctica, which i wouldn't be surprised if we had a base there either. Why is America's ego so BIG?!

  • all anyone needs to remember is the no child left behind/pre-existing condition that obama and pelosi kept promoting IS NOT IN THE BILL. that was the single point that sold the majority that did sway, and it does not exist.

  • @THEmattyj162 Pg. 19 Lines 18-25, Pg. 20 Lines 1-2. I understand not endorsing the bill, but debate the facts of the bill and make sure you read the portions you want to debate. It's baseless arguments like this that are counter productive to opposition opinion.

  • @Dubberzz It strips legitimacy from the actual issues that should be argued in the bill while simultaneously pushing support away from those arguments. When you straight up fabricate what is in the bill it formulates an image of ignorance that doesn't just end with you, but everyone that reads and believes the false statements you make.

  • This man could fix everything thats wrong right now! Everything! He tells it like it is. No more no less!

  • im confused...

i've been following this health care reform for a while, just to see if We the People are dumb enough to give the government MORE control over us than they already have and it looks like that's the case..

i read an article a day or two ago that said the new health care bill is even worse than the one a couple weeks ago, and the House is in favor???? why are they in favor of a bill that is worse than the original?

what is happening to this gd country?????

  • People just love to think this is gonna be good but its not. yay just take more of my check so u can fucking spend it using airforce one to have dinner! yay!!! now anyone can get an abortion with my money! yay! if i dont take this healtcare bs ill be penalized 8k which i dont have yay! or jail! yay! my freedoms gone! yay! I love it fucking love it. way to be idiots america! way to let ur gov fucking take u and put a collar on u! yay!!!! have fun with ur bs descion. idiots....

  • What is happening? The liberal progressives are in control thats whats happening.

  • @tubo222555

liberal progressive democrat welfarists + world police militarist republicans = MASSIVE DEBT

lol both sides complain about the others major spending ventures, but neither get repealed when the other is in power.

  • @Freethought42

I agree! And that isn't true! People do complain about their own party's spending, the media just likes to ignore that. And to be fair, sometimes military spending is out of the control of the US, in cases where cuts in spending would result in the loss of a war. (I am not using this to justify Bush entering Iraq, which I was against)

  • mongoose47: Everyone needs to talk reasonably and quit using language like "Obama fascism." I don't agree with that. Tell the hard facts without saying things that pull people off. I agree that raising taxes to have public health care is a bad idea and I don't like a bigger government either.

  • Obama wants to employ a fascist health care system whereby the authority of government and law forces the American public through terror and imprisonment to give their money to multi billion dollar a year insurance corporations.

AND THAT is the "change and hope" of Herr Obama. He cares only for his reptilian billionaire puppeteers slithering throughout corporate America.

Partnership between big business and government = economic fascism.

  • Comment removed

  • I am tired of the leftist argument that if one is against government health care, they are against health care PERIOD. It is hateful communist propaganda.

I want health care for all. I don't want government providing it or managing it. Government has made little to no contribution in health care providing or advances in treatment even though government funds account for over half of all health care in America.

Try the VA if one is convinced government run health care is so perfect!

  • Health care existed before government health care. Life expectencies and infant mortality rates were dropping BEFORE the government takeover of health care. The record shows that as we have increased government involvement in health care, health care has worsened. Our treatment of pain in this country is downright Draconian as it is in neafrly all government run health care systems.

  • Life is actually fair. Just not the greedy kind of "fair" people want it to be.

  • That last little bit of what Rand said made me think, "Time to get out of the country"

  • When I read your comment (stivender03), I thought "what a communist with a hitler mustache and a yamaca."

  • Herceptin is being used in the UK! Granted, some have been refused it, but it's not the case that Herceptin is not being used in the UK at all.

  • Remember Remember the fifth of November.

  • i want to know what the counterarguments are against the pauls...what would obama say about the borrowing --> inflation argument?

  • What the left would most want to do would be to increase taxes in order to bring down the deficit and, perhaps, start paying off the debt. This would decrease the necessity of borrowing money and hold down inflation. Absent the political will to raise taxes, team Obama would probably seek to reduce federal spending, but only after the economy began to rebound, as it is showing signs of doing so already. Whether or not they'll ne able to cut spening sufficiently enough is anyone's guess

  • they aren't going to cut anything. Trust me. The biggest expenditures are

Social Security, Medicare, Medicad, and the war

These R the biggest, by a wide margin, R they going to cut any of these things? I dont think so

And as far as taxes, they are already on the other side of the Laffer curve, if they raise taxes any higher, people will reduce consumption, and production, money will stop moving, and the tax revenue will decrease

they are in a box, and they will wait until the system blows up

  • Actually we have higher tax rate in Canada (for the richest people) and we had 15 years of budget surplus at he federal level.

  • We've already done the math, you can tax 100% of the income, of people making over 200,000 in the US, we still are in deficit

So Obama is going to have to break that promise, in order to raise the revenue, which he will not do

In Canada, you drill your oil, we dont

Obama could raise the revenue & start paying down our debt, tomorrow, IF he got the congress to lift the ban on Drilling US oil. But they wont

Like I said, there R plenty of options, but none that they will do

    they R in a box

  • John Dennis money bomb Nov. 5th! Defeat Nancy Pelosi in CA 8!

  • Randall Paul was not named for Ayn Rand. He was called Randy as a boy. Only after he was married to his beautiful wife Kelley Ashby Paul did she give him the nickname Rand. That's the way Rand Paul tells it in another YouTube. Time to get busy spreading links to this great YouTube. Rand Paul can WIN a U.S. Senate seat from Kentucky in 2010 with your help.

  • gawd that anchor lady is fucking hot

  • his lips are colorless

  • he fucking named his son Rand!!! Un-fucking-believable!!! I knew he was into Ayn Rand man but not up to that extent.

    awesome

  • Rand is short for Randall

  • Randy is short for Randall. Even if his name is Randall that doesn't exclude the possibility that he calls himself Rand as a testament to Ayn.

    ... but point taken, lol

  • While I don't think he is (and I'm an objectivist) It would be nice to think so.

  • i believe that the Paul's are true patriotic American's. Sadly they are a minority, and will never be allowed to get close enough to make a change. And I know this comment is going to piss off some people, but the sheeple in this country don't deserve good men like these. The only way the sheep will wake up is for them to suffer. Sad but true.

  • One thing about Ron Paul is it seems like he loves all people. Whenever he talks to them, he always talks to them like they're people with value. I think we should view them with love as people with value, and hopefully they will come around.

  • Rand Paul money bomb is going on right now, Google it before midnight tonite Hurry!!!

  • Wow, that's a great politician. I don't hear excessive "uh's" like most people.

  • ya rand and ron are very straightforward and honest about what they stand for as well as the truth. great men.

  • the pauls are dead on. and she is hot

  • yup.

  • Its difficult not to like these guys. They state their cases based on policy and they do not base thier opinions on getting re-elected. They're not trying to demonize people or fear monger, and they spread blame around, as it should be. They don't try to be friends to anyone. Ron Paul should have had a cabinet postion. He doesn't play politics. Even if you disagree with him on policy, he's not trying to win a popularity contest.

  • its good that someone will care on ron paul's message

  • he's hot

  • Private individuals

  • When government runs an economy, so do multi national corporations. So right off the bat, you don't present a third option, which is, the free enterprise option. Now, you have to wonder why our Government and giant Multi national Corporations run this country. The simple answer is, we didn't have capitalism. Government, when given power, and power corrupts all, will never work in the interest of the people, only the rich. So to fix the problem, you don't give government, more power.

  • Donate to Rand Paul this September 23rd. Pledge too, so you'll get an e-mail reminder on that day and don't forget to donate on that day!

  • Banks loaned money to folks who defaulted. Banks forclosed on property. Banks recieve bail-out money while they wait for the property to regain value. Nice work if you can get it!

  • yeh nobody went... hey wait.... they got paid for the houses... let people keep them then!

  • Rand Paul is right

Watch Rep Scalise on healthcare, its not an option

    watch?v=VVhnPhSsKy8

  • She said "many people in the republican party" felt the bailout was nessesary, thats NUTS 95% of the callers that bombarded their congressmens office were against it, the bailout was practically at gunpoint, threat of martial law, media lies

  • There is just no one else like Ron Paul. He is head-and-shoulders above most intellectuals we see on TV or in public arena. We as a nation are hugely fortunate to have a true patriot like him.

  • Yes, he's an intellectual who believes in creationism. Lol.

  • The truth resonates

  • You present a problem, but you're solution is no different in my eyes then the problem. You're just re-allocating this mess to a supposed "lesser" of two evils. The reason these people are unisurned, is because the money they make from there job, looses value, do to our inflation to PAY for our mess of an economy. Secondly, the reason insurance is so high, is because of government involvement. Government already is IN 50% of our healthcare.Health insurance is a socialist ideal btw.

  • let them know betty, we are in this situation from the government "helping" in the first place

  • Exactly. They think, that when this institution, that has been known through out history to reduce freedom and liberty at every turn, can help them. When ever Washington screws up, they blame the private sector or big business. Even Obama said that the housing bubble happened, because we let them run wild. And they were under-regulated. I find this funny, the were already regulated. It was government, who tolled them what to do. This country will collapse in a few years. It can not be sustained

  • It cannont be denied that the government is the biggest waster of resources in the world. Everyone blames the free market system, but people wont let it work on its own. The government ensures a company will stay in business, as long as enough money is sent to the Feds. If the government didnt involve itself then the American people wouldnt have to pay for lobbying. Which keeps the cost of all business at reasonable lvl. You dont have to be good in business, just pay the right people.

  • Having Rand Paul is like cloning Ron Paul, but at a younger age!

If people would just listen to a view speeches from either men, they'd realize how much time and effort they are wasting in supporting major party leaders.

We need more of Paul and son on mainstream news to wake up the masses.

  • Rand is an intelligent man in his own right. Let him stand on his own.

  • I know, the whole "clone" remark was a bit of a joke, but in a good way.

  • @thrash632

    dont forget about PETER SCHIFF

  • Common Sense! Washington needs more people like Rand and Ron Paul. They are out there look for them in 2010 2012. Oh and Thank You Ron Paul for giving the people credit for being informed.

  • RIGHT ON! PRAISE the Lord there is ANOTHER Ron Paul in his son Rand! The world just became a better place with this man in politics. Please turn ALL your friends who love reality and this country onto Ron Paul and his son! FORCE the media to FOCUS ON anybody like Ron Paul and Rand Paul. We need more Americans who think like this, REALITY

  • Wow - here I thought Ron Paul was the only logical, level-headed and smartest politician on the planet. Nice to see his son following in his footsteps.

  • he looks like his ole man.

  • Sounds like him too.

  • nice to hear from one politician that hasn't completely lost his mind

  • RON PAUL 2012!! RAND PAUL 2020!!

  • Stupid liberals on both sides of the aisle wanting to spend other peoples' money. Some people ought to go to prison for not paying their taxes and then come back with some enlightenment and expect government to operate by the same rules that individuals must obey. These double standard bearers want to keep their party down at the Warbucks house going as long as possible must be stopped.

  • fruit?

  • @01234V43210: What will you SHILLS do now? We're almost at a Revolutionary calamity in this country, and you're desperately trying to keep the status quo as per your marching orders? Your attempts will be futile.

  • gigong1001 said.... If the Paul's were truly independent, than they should leave their party. They are encouraging a failed "two party" system.

I cant wait to see who the Republicans will be willing to sacrifice next election, Ron Paul or Sarah Palin. They will surely stand by the one that make the most noise and not the one who actually wins the popular vote.

  • well, unfortuntly know one would know who Ron Paul is if he didn;t run under the one of the standard parites but he did tell everyone leading up to the election that they should vote third party as Clinton, Obama, McCain are a farse.

RP also regularly points out that in terms of principal he is more Republican than these "Neo-Cons" who don't hold any of the good parts of REpublican party and all of the bad ones

  • Or perhaps the Republicans will remember what they used to stand for.

  • I was so happy to hear that Rand is serious about making a run for congress. Ron needs someone to carry the torch.

  • The govt WANTS to borrow money and raise the debt and inflation because once the dollar completely fails...it will be a just cause to totally change our monetary structure and chip every one with digital money. Yeah we are fucked no matter what policy or reform Obama "attempts" to pass the end of this country is inevitable.

  • there is always suicide.

  • That is an option although I would rather fire off a few dozen rounds into an unsuspecting crowd of school children before turning the gun on myself in the middle of a second grade assembly. That is the best way to be selfish.

  • Cudos for the day for combining comment with screen name.

(In California, 187 is the penal code section for murder. But I'm sure you know that.)

  • I made that sn and email like 10 years ago when i was a stupid teenager. But, it stuck and I decided to just leave it alone...thanks for noticing man I appreciate a good pun as well.

  • ...but yes, the debt is completely out of control. Democrats don't know what they are getting into, Republicans are hungry for a disaster and fomenting problems just to say "I told you so." If the Paul's were truly independent, than they should leave their party. They are encouraging a failed "two party" system.

  • Lets be clear about the "Avastin" controversy. In the U.S., pharmaceutical company tried to take it OFF the market because doctors were using it instead of Lucentis which is way more expensive and limiting profits. They lied and lied and it took a'lot of pressure to allow Avastin to be continued for treating the eye. This kind of greed has to be checked. I don't think Rand really unerstands whats going on. Insurance companies are ALREADY forcing us to make choices like Rand mentioned.

  • id love to drop a load on kierans face.

  • donate to their campaigns!!

  • We need more intelligent people like Rand Paul in office.

  • Please help us get Rand elected! We're trying to break the senate fundraising records (and put him in a commanding position in the race)! Pledge for the August 20th money bomb!

    runrandrun dot c o m!

    Let's take back our country!

  • Rand Paul should seriously consider running for president sometime if his father doesn't. I'd vote for either one.

  • great interview

  • I wish more people would view this video!

    Spread the Message!

  • both rand paul and his dad use the word "but" in completely the wrong places

i love them both but it gets annoying

and dont mind my sn, i dont support Obama

  • The healthcare reform we need is to strip away the distortions upon the actions of the marketplace caused by the tax code and other government imposed regulations. We need to lower the cost of healthcare, and the best way to do that is to harness the power of free people acting in a free, transparent, and lawful market.

See plastic surgery and veterinary medicine for models of how this works.
