@ justrucks: The cost would depend on which service provider the phone is locked to. It does not work for Boost Mobile. The process only supports GSM-based Blackberry 8100 Pearl.
would it work for criket? or some other small service? its for tmobile my sister switched companies so she gave it to me n im tryin to see if i can out it to some use
@ cesaruco000: It means that you have used up all allowable attempts to unlock your phone. Blackberry phones have limited number of unlocking attempts. Some have 250 tries while newer Blackberry phones only have 10 tries. At this rate, you cannot unlock your phone anymore using unlock code.
When I get to the part where you enter the mepd I cant type anything. Im I doing something wrong. I have hit every key on my phone and nothing. Can you help me?
okay i go to site. and then look for it, found it but it cost money. and i got a blackberry: registered in t-mobile carrier, but im a cingular/At&t sim card? need help plz. but trying to find a way for it for free
i got my code from my old carrier but its 18 characters long it has 2 letters at the begining and an underscore ( _ ) but it wont let me enter letters as part of the code or let me type symbols....and my phone started off with only 10 trys why is that?
This code is unique to the Blackberry in the video. Yes your phone can be unlocked through the link, just put your network as others and you will get a email that asks for your country and network, send that info and unlock your phone. DO NOT KEEP TRYING, if you hit 0, it is impossible to unlock your phone, please be careful.
The purpose of this video is to show how safe, simple easy it is to unlock. You dont need to flash it or void warranty. If you have way that is safe and easy for people, please post it for everyone.
another ques, your phone is originally locked to rogers so how come after unlocking the phone u see rogers wireless shouldn't it be the name of ur new service provider
@Frassbazz right on! If you get any mention me on twitter with the url to @jonnthemonn

@mattJT87 No. It allows you to use your phone on other GSM carriers, whether locally or internationally.

Does ur phone number change when you do this
LiveRadeo3 1 year ago
@LiveRadeo3 Your phone number won't be affected. But if you use a SIM from a different carrier, then of course, that would be a different number.

That is not the unlock code (well not the one Global Unlock will give you). The unlock code is 8 or 16 numerical digits for all Blackberry.
