you can not change a man or woman's religion when they are dead. They can not make that decision while dead. Religion is a choice, all religion. To pretend to alter the afterlife experience of another against their will is hideous and should not be done. That is stealing the dignity of the dead for personal glorification disguised as salvation. how fucking horrible you people are with your luciferian rights and strange undergarments! This just reeks of blasphemy!
What about all the people who lived before recorded history, or all the people today who live and die in primitive families!? It's completely impossible for the 4 to 5 million active LDS to be baptized for the billions and billions of people that have lived or are living on the Earth!!
I laugh at people that keep calling mormonism a cult. Try looking up what a cult really is before you place that label on mormonism. Cults worship satan. If you want to try to argue that mormons do, I would wonder where you get that thought, but would still lead you to Luke 11: 14-20. Mormons teach to love Christ, worship and serve Him, not Satan.
@dekidd007 Mormons believe that Satan is the brother of Jesus, that God has a physical body, that God had sex with Mary, that we can become gods, and their temples have pagan and satanic symbols on them. Now tell me that Mormons don't have anything to do with Satan. On the Navoo temple in Utah are symbols of the sun god. That is pagan. Mormons are NOT Christian
I continue to laugh at all people that call Mormonism a cult. Do you even know what a cult is? A cult worships satan. Look it up. If you try to make the claim that Mormons do worship satan, I direct you to Luke 11: 14-20. Mormons teach to follow Christ, and oppose satan. If they worship satan, they are divided and will never stand.
@dekidd007 Mormons also believe that they belong to the TRUE church, which is a lie. They believe that god lives on some planet out there. THEIR little god does, but true Christains KNOW that OUR God lives in our hearts. Heaven is his thrown and earth is his footstool! That being said, How can such a huge God live on some tiny planet? And that mormons believe they will become gods and rule their own little planet is blasphemy! That is not christain teaching. Therefore, Mormonism is a cult!
@sirhood2 I am sorry that you are so bound and determined to not allow something good to exist in the world. I am also slightly taken back that you think you understand everything there is to know about God. But God bless you, you have great faith brother.
@sirhood2 You listen to me! I dont care WHAT you think, Mormons are Christian, and we DO NOT believe God lives on some "other planet" So SHUT YOUR MOUTH and DO SOME RESEARCH and REALIZE WE'RE CHRISTIANS!
Do you believe that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father would turn their backs on those souls who never had a chance to be baptized? Christ is loving and merciful. and- "judge not that ye be not judged"
@futureelderstoddard THERE IS NO BAPTISM FOR THE DEAD , READ THE BIBLE......DIE ONCE ,THEN THE JUDGEMENT.........MORMONS LIE......MORMONS WORSHIP FREEMASON SATAN
Did you even watch the video? he gave a passage of scripture from the bible that mention s the practice of baptism for the dead. Do your research buddy.
@futureelderstoddard HAHAHAHHAHAHA..........PAGANS BAPTIZED DEAD PEOPLE NOT EARLY CHRISTIAN.....MORMONS ARE SATANIST AND WILL WORSHIP THE COMING MASONIC ANTI-CHRIST....RESEARCH THAT
Get your facts correct buddy. The real name for the "mormon church" is The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. The Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and it goes completely hand in hand with the Bible. I believe both to be the word of God. Show me one place in scripture that they contradict each other. We worship the Almighty God and his son Jesus Christ who died for our sins and made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can gain exaltation.
@futureelderstoddard HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA, THE BOM IS A LIE......SATAN GAVE THE BOM TO A MAN WHORE NAMED JOE SMITH.......JESUS DOSENT HAVE ANY MAN WHORE PROPHETS ONLY SATAN DOES
Also i guess we don't worship the same God. The God I believe in loves all his children and is merciful but just. Is it fair that there are millions of people who have not heard the name of Christ? Should they all be condemned to burn in hell? To enter exaltation we must all be baptized of water. The baptizing for the dead gives those who have died without the chance to do so the option to accept the ordinance . To be just God must see to it all have the opportunity to be baptized.
@iluvdoodles Your so called prophet Hinkley said that you Mormons believe in a different jesus than Christians do. So now, how can you call yourself Christian when you believe in a different jesus? Your little god lives on a planet close to Kolob. That's rediculous. Smith and Young both agreed that there are people living on the sun and the moon. We know now that is utterly untrue. Tell me you don't believe that mess and you call Smith a lier!
@sirhood2 He said that huh?.... then why do we read the same bible as everyone els? and believe in its truth? thats not the same Jesus huh?... get your facts straight man...
uh, wrong. a cult is not defined as a group that "worships" Satan. typically, a cult is a group that is authoritarian, exploitative and is believed to use dangerous rituals or mind control. that is the sociological definition and far more accurate.
since the mormon church is authoritarian, and, according to some, exploitative, with bizarre temple rituals, that is why it is sometimes labeled a cult. I'm not saying I agree... I'm just explaining.
@dekidd007 The word cult pejoratively refers to a group whose beliefs or practices are considered abnormal or bizarre. You are in a cult, so it follows you don't know what a cult is. A cult by defintition does not have to worship satan. You are sadlly uninformed. No offense.
@ighter4 Ahh, but where do you get your definition, for I have found both as the definition of cult. As for strange beliefs, I believe that every religion has strange beliefs, therefore all religions are cults by that definition. What is normal? I use that question towards everything. The saints in Christ's time were considered a peculiar people. People thought their beliefs were abnormal or bizarre. If believe something bizarre makes Mormanism a cult, then I want to be part of a cult.
Also, there are two sins God does not forgive. Taking innocent blood and refuting him I do believe what a mormon friend told me. But why not baptise that "Murdering heathen"? Again I don't buy into mormonism. Its also very cultish so definately not going into it. No disrespect to my friend for he is a good person. I just don't agree to what the mormon religion stands for. Its thin ice on so many levels and summer is amongst them all year long.
So regardless of how bad one lives his life on earth. If he were to be baptised, he would still go to heaven. Okay, well I'm going to baptise Hitler now and free masonary leaders as well.
This knowledge really only defies the teachings of walking in his footsteps seeing as we know we will go to heaven anyways so we can do as much bad corrupt things as we want? Might as well.
Those of you who wanna debate. Keep it strictly on subject. Don't drag it out.
Mormonism has a patented claim on God (the one and only) backed up by nothing but "testimony" That is "God will tell you"
These people maybe well meaning and compassionate lot . But when it comes to God they are the most deluded of all, they are bankrupt when it comes to any evidence.
No plates, No DNA supporting evidence for the Lamanites, No archeological finds of Zarahemla or of a civilisation containing steel, horses or elephants that supposedly occupied the whole american continent.
@kramd1 we have no plates because god took them, the DNA is native americans themselves, most cities were destroyed after the death of christ, we never had elephants. read the BOM before you make assumptions, and since when do horses NOT occupy america? plus steel rusts dont it they were primitive making steel as good as it is today so it can last ain't excactly that easy back then.
@deliciousd2 I have read the Novel that Joseph Smith concocted. You obviously missed the bit on the Elephants:
Ether 9:19 And they also had horses, and asses, and there were elephants and cureloms and cumoms;all of which were useful unto man, and more especially the elephants and cureloms and cumoms.
cureloms may as well be flying Elephants. Who TF knows.
You guys should reread your Bible, because I seem to recall that Jesus died for those who were living AND those who had died:
"...whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. [9] For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living." (Romans 14:7-9)
So...guess you don't need to be baptizing Grandma and Grandpa, Jesus got there first.
Why is Baptism for the dead not mentioned in the book of mormon ? & Dont you think it strange that the 'secret' temple endowment ceremony began AFTER Joseph Smith, his dad, brother & many other Mormons were removed from freemasonry ?
2 Nephi 9:38-"And, in fine, wo unto all those who die in their sins; for they shall return to God, and behold his face, and remain in their sins.
Mosiah 26:27-"And then I will confess unto them that I never knew them; and they shall depart into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
First off, it's spiritually dangerous to base an entire theology off of one verse. Second, in ch. 15, when Paul speaks of himself and other believers as WE. But in verse 29, he says THEY, as in not him or the church. So, he's pointing to someone else. Baptism for the dead has never been part of the early church or Christianity at any point in time. It's a pagan ritual.
Ah, the insults...every time I see a Mormon insult a Christian and make no efforts to refute me, I can't help but smile. The Corinthians at that time were known to be heavily influenced by other customs, like the practices in Eleusis, north of Corinth. Many different people frequented at Corinth, because it was a large economical area. So, show me in the BoM where baptism for the dead is even MENTIONED, much less practiced. As you succinctly put it, I dare you.
@rodwyr LDS (Mormon) people are Christians man, The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.. that's our true Church name, not "Mormon Church" Mormon is just a nickname. And I don't care what you believe, I just want you to know that I am LDS along with all other LDS (Mormon) people and Christ is the Keystone (center) to our religion. And no we don't hold Joseph Smith higher than Jesus, Joseph Smith was just a prophet for us
The Book of Mormon does not contain all the teachings that are in the church today, nor does anyone claim as such. The purpose of the Book of Mormon is to show that God has the love, power and desire to share his teachings with all his children.
Once a person has come to know the Book of Mormon is a companion book to the Bible, they can also know that God continues to call and communicate to modern day prophets today, no different from Moses or Noah or Paul or Peter in ancient times.
1) So the BoM does NOT contain the 'fulness of the gospel'?
2) If there is one Mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 2:5), then why would I need to receive "revelation" from a "modern-day prophet"? See also Hebrews 2:1-2
3) Is the LDS church in apostasy since the last "revelation" from the "prophet" was over 30 yrs. ago in 1978 dealing with blacks & the priesthood, which conveniently happened in the middle of the Civil Rights movement?
1) The BOM:contains the fulness of the Gospel as it confirms that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and taught directly to people beyond the ancient middle east....thus confirming his ability to teach to whom he chooses.
2) So are you stating that the prophets of the Bible are of no use to you? How exactly did you come to know about Jesus, if not for prophets? Curious to hear your answer.... And I think we can both agree that much has changed in 2000 years and Christ continues his revelations to his prophets and the Saints
@djwright44 there were prophets in the BOM not just the Bible like Moroni, Mormon, Ether, Alma, Alma the younger, Heleman, Nephi, Lehi. Tons who recieved revelations about christs coming hahaha kinda funnier last time i checked i think there were atleast 3 or 4 Nephi named prophets
3) The prophets gave their warning about the family (1995 proclamation...look it up) far before the modern day marriage uproar. A perfect example of watchmen on the tower seeing far ahead of the world and Satan's influence (and lots of pressure, but no change: the LDS church is the world leader in defending and supporting marriage and family as God ordained them and will continue with this stand regardless of the consequences.
1) The disciples were commanded to preach the gospel to all nations. No sufficient evidence that the Jesus of the Bible even appeared there. I've heard the theories and their flaws.
2) The prophets foretold of Christ's coming. All the prophecies relevant to it are recorded in Scripture. Hebrews 1:1-2 says that in old times God spoke through the prophets, but now through His Son. If the "revelation" contradicts previous revelation, then it's false...(cont'd.)
3) In regards to marriage and family, what new revelation has occurred that I can't find it already in the Bible? If you're speaking on homosexuality, Scripture already points out that that is wrong and should be avoided. Kinda easy to see "far ahead" when the light of the Word has already illuminated the way.
@rodwyr all things must start small to be honest mormons weren;t excacty as good as they are today we all have our flaws but with god and the prophets help we will maintain what god asks of us
So what exactly are you going to find from a "prophet" that you can't find in the Bible? True, humans have flaws, but do you honestly think you can keep the whole law and NOT stumble on one point? A verse alot of LDS use is "Be ye perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect". Are you perfect now? Doesn't say BECOME perfect, but BE perfect.
how do u know what we do and dnt do. have u ever been to a lds church have u ever actually asked someone what they beleive in. no uve just researched it on here where ts about as good as the truthful as a newspaper articale. ppl lie al they time to make selmselfs feel good and important. and to put others down. i dnt actually care what opther ppl beleive in, what i care and think bout most of the is how can i grow closer to my lord. not how can i bash someone today. lol. ppl need to grow up.ASAP
Dont worry about what a lot of people like myself know what you mormons do.. we KNOW that the things your satanic cult does is evil, vile and deceiving.. dont get in my face again because this Catholic will make sure you regret it
@chainsticks88 lol but how can we be evil, what things have we done that would define us as evil and satanic. well i can say a lot about catholics and how wrong they r well the priests anyway or should i say what they do lol. but what would that change lol nothing cos everyone has a right to thier own faith and views.
Well one of my uncles is a DA in slc utah and the amount of mormons that him and his associates prosecute and arrest for raping kids the list is now longer then what any Catholic Priest did, but typical mormons who "lol" you mormons must get a kick out of trying to deceive Gods children
Youre another sick ass mormon condoning child rape.. NO ASSHOLE ITS THE ACTIVE LDS MOLESTING KIDS.. ARE YOU GOING TO STICK UP FOR PEDOPHILES NOW..OH THATS RIGHT YOU PEOPLE WORSHIP A PEDOPHILE JOSEPH SMITH
where in my statment have i said that i stick up for pedo's. we r not perfect and there prob is bad ppl in the church but i wqas just making a point that ur church is not actuallay perfect.
and JS was not a pedo so dnt say things like that without proof. u r just a lost soul and i feel really bad cos u must going thru 'hell' right now. and i pray that the lord softens ur heart and opens ur eyes to whereever u will find ur peace. wither that be in lds or another church.
Prove it Prove it Prove it... when satan told Jesus Christ to PROVE that hes the Son of God.. Jesus basically told satan that he has nothing to prove to him.. and like the mormons satan laughs HA and does the "lol" thing like you do.. but Jesus did prove it by his actions like we prove it by our actions that your satanic pathetic mormon cult is evil.. guess who has the last LOL
Lets get something straight retard.. you mormons are NOT Catholic, so stop trying to pose as the Catholics.. by saying you dont like foul language is just the mormons game of saying hey look at us, were holy like the Catholics and we dont cuss.. BULL.. YOU MORMONS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO HAVE FOULER MOUTHS THEN ANYBODY
lol again i am not per2fect. so please stop making out that i beleive i am. i as an individual ( nothing to do with religion) would prefer to be spoken to with respect. and i do not think i am a catholic.
the difference between YOU AND I is that i think i am humble enough to go before god and ask him to help me with my weaknesses. YOU think u are perfect and already saved. taking jesus christ name is just the start of ur salvation. dnt come preaching me. lol.
Umm, if you're dead, i doubt that you would except the Father, the Son, and the Holy SPIRIT. So.. the baptism would be void.. This is ridiculous, almost as bad as your polygamist god.
funny thing, It is against the Torah law to communicate with the dead...this is because the Torah is for the living.....Baptims for dead people is an abomination to the most high
Hmmm, then why did they reference it in Corinthians?
Can you please quote me the verse in the Bible that states where baptism for the dead is an abomination to God? Don't recall seeing any scriptural reference to that.
@kubikdoctor Did your little Torah religion consider the people who died without having the opportunity to come unto Christ? what about them? God loves EVERYONE including them. So if we do baptisms for the dead, they can have exaltation as well... you'll see someday...
I only have one question. What type of a god, would allow a mans eternity to be on another mans choices? Personally I would not even care to know this god.
Baptism is not necessary for salvaiton, the apostle Paul excludes himself from the group of people practicing baptisms for the dead, in the only verse where baptism for the dead is mentioned in the entire Bible. The apostle Paul also says that he was not sent to baptize but to preach the gospel in 1 Corinthians 1:17 showing a clear separation between baptism and the gospel, which he links directly with the preaching of the cross in 1 Corinthians 1:18. Marriages for the dead is the secret part.
Unfortunately the carter family is being misled by a dillusional fool that apparently has not read the Bible lately. There is plenty of doctrine that is difficult to understand and can be debated, but Baptism for the Remission of sins is not one of them. This is just a small example of how far the Christian Fundamentalist will go to justify their own twisted version of what Christ taught. This is why there are thousands of CF churches in world contradicting each other at every turn. Sad really.
If you ever were to read the Bible, & not try to make it say what you want it to say, but actually read it for what it says. It would be hard for you to maintain your beliefs in the Mormon church for long, without completely rejecting what the Bible clearly teaches. God meant what He said, & He said what He meant in the Bible, it is not some mythical code book. Some of it may be a bit hard to grasp on your first time through it, but you do not need someone else to tell you what it clearly says.
There is nothing clear about your individual, subjective and flawed interpretation of the what the Bible teaches. You said "If you ever were to read the Bible, & not try to make it say what you want it to say". I am sure you realize this is just a matter of perspective, because that statement is just as applicable to you and your thousands of contradicting Christian Fundamentalist churches, as it is to me. You see what you want to see and find just what justifies the life you want to live.
The Bible contains only one clear message. The story of the tree little pigs, is not about the adventures of Tom Sawyer. The Bible says what it means, and means what it says. I read it for what it clearly says. If I wrote a book, people would not need some guru to explain what I meant. Why do people think that God needs some human guru, to explain what He means. He meant what He said, and He said what He meant. You need to read it all, to get the best understanding of it though.
I can't find the post where you said this, so I will just reply here. You said "Every person born on this planet has had opportunity to be saved." Honestly! I understand that you have to convince yourself that, that is true, because otherwise, you have a huge doctrinal problem that you can't resolve. But, that assertion requires a willing suspension of disbelief. You are living a complete fantasy if you think no one has ever lived & died without the chance to declare Christ as their savior.
Christ is not a magic code word, He is God. The Bible teaches that God is not willing that any should perish, it teaches that if anyone starts reall seeking God, they will find Him. The Bible also teaches that it is appointed to man once to die, & after this the judgment. There are no 2nd chances after death. Show me 1 verse where Jesus even indicated a possibility of a 2nd chance after death. He told a story of a rich man & Lazarus, the rich man went to hell, & I believe wanted a
The Mormons do not and have never taught that we all get a second chance. The work for the dead is about a person getting a first chance to accept Christ. You still work under this complete dillusion that no one has ever died in all the history of man kind without having the opportunity to fully accept Christ as their savior, which is REQUIRED for salvation. I understand why you have to convince yourself of that silliness, but it is just completely irrational and untrue.
Show me one verse in the entire Bible, that indicates that someone may have never had the chance to know God. Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Show me one verse in the Bible or Book of Mormon where marriages are done in temples, or done for the dead. Jesus said there is no marriage in heaven. There is one verse in the New testament, zero in the BOM that mentions baptism for the dead, & Paul excludes himself from this group of people.
I just wanted to say... I liked the video. :) I'm Mormon and proud, and I think it's sad that people are arguing and bickering about religions and which one's right and which one's wrong... honestly, I think we should "live and let live", as the saying goes. True Christianity=love, peace, charity, kindness, compassion, warmth...every single positive thing you can imagine. Now, we as Christians should stick together and love eachother and God instead of fighting over who does it best or right. :)
JS started it by saying all other churches were wrong and all there creeds are abomination, Christian beliefs and Mormons beliefs are not even close so to say Mormons are Christians is a insult to them. That would be like us calling ourselfs Mormons would you like that?
You are working under the mistaken assumption that your catholic, nicean, trinity fantasy is correct. There is nothing but chaos, confusion, and disagreement among the thousands of christian fundamentalist churches. How can you ignore that fact, long enough to decide whether or not a Mormon is a Christian. Unify all of the chaos among the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Assembly of Pentacostal, Apostolic churches of God in Christ - Unitarianism first, then tear down another churches bellefs.
The Bible teaches very clearly that salvation is by grace through faith(Ephesians 2:8,9). It also teaches that grace and works are opposites (Romans 11:6). The Bible teaches that God is not a man (Numbers 23:19), and that there never has been a time when God was not God and there never will be another God formed. (Isaiah 43:10 & 44:6-8 Jeremiah 10:10,11 etc. etc.) There is not nearly the division you would like to think, between true Christian churches. Mormonism has a different Jesus.
Mormons believe that salvation is only through the grace of Christ, we just don't believe saying the magic words, I believe, gets you a free pass into heaven, regardless of what atrocities you might commit during your life. By the way, when Christ was resurrected and the multitudes felt the scars in his hands and in his feet and touched his physical body, where in the Bible does it state that he died again and lost that physical body? Why thousand of different churches formed if not for division
Jesus took His physical body with Him, but He is not confined to it. The Bible teaches that Christ dwells inside of believers. A physical human cannot dwell inside of another physical human. The very first form of idolatry listed in Romans Chapter 1 verse 23, is that men want to make God into a man. Christian churches do sometimes disagree on some things, like types of music, dress, baptism by imersion or sprinkling etc. They agree that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ.
Good to see that their is a different road for everyone to find their own way back to god. We'll just ignore the Bible clearly stating that STRAIGHT is the way and NARROW is the gate and we'll just call, "close to the truth", good enough. The funny thing is, regardless of how many inconsistencies and loose intrepretations you have in the Christian Fundamentalist world, you still have the audacity to stand in judgment of the Mormons. Clean your own house first before worrying about another's.
Interesting that you would bring this verse up, since the Mormon church teaches exactly the opposite of it. Mormonism teaches that everyone will go to a heaven, unless they have been a Mormon and rebelled against Mormonism. Mormonism even teaches chances to accept their gospel after a person dies, which makes trying to convert people to Mormonism evil, the way I see it, if Mormonism were true, since it only opens opportunity for damnation.
I am not sure which hole that post exited from, but it is clear that you know nothing about what Mormons believe. Of course I was already aware that your frame of reference as it relates to your knowledge of what Mormons actually believe is steeped in complete ignorance. With that in mind, exactly what is it that qualifies you to stand in judgment of the Mormons? Aside from your ability to simply repeat the lies you read from all the other born again nut jobs, what qualifies you to be judge?
I am not interested in being any Mormon persons judge, I am interested in their salvation. As a former Mormon, born, brainwashed, & raised in it, I know from
1st hand experience the fraud & deception it is built upon. I've got several videos posted which clearly explain the fraud of the Mormon church, & it's false prophets. Jesus warned there would be false Christs & false gospels, He also declared that His word would never pass away & the gates of Hell would never prevail against His church.
aah, now it is clear. I usually can pick out the ex-mo's. Now I see that your tweeked perspective is not steeped in ignorance, but simple hatred. Your story is nothing new. You put your peep in some strange, the Bishop offended you and away you go, on the "Hate Mormons Crusade". At least you could be adult enough to call it what it really is. YOU ARE NOT interested in a Mormons's salvation! STOP the lies! You are out to exact your pound of flesh for hurt feelings. Get over it, move on, don't lie
Mormons don't ever hurt me, they are just people. The lies that Mormons believe, and that I believed, do hurt people, because lies always hurt. I was once to proud to, to believe that I could believe a lie, but lies are not even good lies unless they look true. That is why satan transforms himself into an angel of light. Jesus said a man must be born again to go to heaven, and the Bible clearly teaches in 1 Corinthians 1:18 that the preaching of the cross if foolish to those who are perishing.
Chances are extremely high, that you were never really an active member of the church, but as a form of manipulation and deceit, I am sure you find pulling the ol, "I was a Mormon" card useful. There are many simple minded born agains, that believe every lie that exits your pie hole. And you are right, Mormon beliefs, like Following Christ's example, serving others, being self sufficient productive members of society, humanitarian relief worldwide, family centered, yes, all very harmful beliefs!
Jesus said in Matthew 7:22, that many would come to Him saying Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name cast out devils and done many wonderful works? Jesus said He would respond and say unto them, depart from Me because I never knew you. Mormons talk a lot about Jesus, but they do not even know Him. Jesus was the creator of Satan, not his brother. Jesus is God, the one and only, see John chapter 1. I was born and raised in Mormonism, I left when I was 27, or 28, I am 38.
I see your nutty pastor has taught you well, in the ways of diversion and never really making a point, only endless rambling nonsense. What ever works for you man. I don't give 2 shits what you believe, but I do think you ought to live your life more constructively. Your anti-Mormon bashing is time much better spent with your wife or children.
The main point is this. Jesus said He is the way to heaven in John 14:6 this means no church is the way to heaven. The Bible teaches salvation by the grace of God, through our faith in God, & not of works. Mormonism teaches salvation by works. Romans 11:6 teaches that grace & works are exact opposites. Satan brought his false religion 1st to Adam & Eve by getting them to doubt the word of God. Mormonism continues to spread his religion, the same way, by causing people to doubt the word of God.
James 2: 14, 17-18, 20-22, 24-26. "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that afaith without works is dead?" Even though these scriptures are as clear as day to understand, and the Romans 11:6 reference is as clear as mud. I am sure you will continue to twist the scriptures to suit your needs. And by the way, Mormons believe that all of the works in the world will not save them without the grace of Christ. We are saved by grace. This argument is so old and worn out.
Faith without works is certainly dead, but the works do not produce faith, the faith produces the works. You try to make James say something it does not say, that works produce salvation, then you get confused over the direct statement in Romans 11:6? Ephesians 2:8,9 says it very clearly "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast." Our works always indicate what we believe. Works come after, not before faith
Salvation by grace, says God did everything necessary to save us, all by Himself. We can do nothing to earn or deserve grace, it is freely given. We must however accept the grace offered. To attempt to earn, or deserve heaven, is to reject grace. Works produce pride, & are done out of pride, if they are done to earn salvation. Grace produces humility, because we do not deserve grace, acceptance of grace produces works to glorify God, not us, because we deserve wrath, not glory.
It is absolutely true that Works without grace is also dead. The two are not mutually exclusive, they are not opposite of each other. The chicken and the egg argument is not helping you here. Mormons believe if you do not accept the grace of Christ, you cannot be saved. I can tell you with certainty, that after you accept the grace of Christ, if you then butcher a hundred chickens and screw a beagle, your salvation is not guaranteed. You can't work your way in, but you sure can work your way out
Romans 11:6 "And if by grace, then is it no more of works; otherwise grace is no more grace, But if it be of works, then is it no more grace, otherwise work is no more work." Grace is unmerited, undeserved, unearned favor. Works are done for and earn wages. Works without grace is absolutely always the case. Works are done for pay. Grace is never deserved, or earned. Grace is getting exactly what you definitely do not deserve. Romans 5:8 While we were sinners (enemies of God) Christ died for us.
I don't try to make James say anything that he did not clearly state. Let me say it again, Mormons believe we are saved by grace alone. I know the born agains hang their hat on this supposed difference in doctrine. The only difference is, you believe after you say the magic words, "I believe" that you can't be unsaved, no matter how much sin you commit. I know, you are defending the "Golden Ticket" that gives you the easy way out and no accountability for your actions. But it is non-Biblical
This can only make sense if you are born again. 1 Corinthians 2:14. Since you are not born again, you still naturally would like to do as much evil as you can get away with. After a person is born again, God gives us a new heart, that desires to do what God wants us to do. Not that we are incapable of sinning, but the want tos change. Before I was saved, I had over 1000 dollars worth of very worldly music and movies, that meant more to me than my family. I threw it in the trash after I got saved
Of course it only makes sense to a born again! This is your golden ticket!, its the road most traveled, the easy path! I would defend it too, if I were you and had nothing else! God gives you a new heart is such a weak argument. Of course, he does! but it does not exclude you from sin. I could send you a huge list of scriptures that talk about the necessity to actually DO God's will, but I am sure you will ignore them as they are not very convenient for you. You see what you want to see.
Well I can guarantee you, that if you compared my attitude about God, & others, to your attitude about God & others, you would find much more reverence, awe, & worship of God, in my heart than yours. You would also find far less criticism of others, & self righteousness in my heart than in yours. But that is what Mormonism breeds: self righteousness, pride, & judgmentalism, because you always have to compare yourself to someone else, to prove to yourself that you are better than they are.
Are you serious? You and the rest of the born again nut jobs spend countless hours fabricating untruths about Mormonism, you come on youtube and spread the lies, and then call us self righteous because we call you out on your own contradictions! Thats funny! Just claiming that you are more humble is a form of pride! And you call the Mormons brain washed. Look in the mirror, there you will find someone who has been brainwashed.
There is absolutely no neet 2 lie at all, about Mormonism, it is built on a massive foundation of lies. I only point out the lies it is founded upon. I've yet to see a Mormon point out a contradiction with Christianity, & the Bible. Adolph Hitler said, if you tell a lie loud enough long enough & often enough, the people will believe it. A Mormon testimony is a repetitious formulated statement of the supposed truthfulness of Mormonism. A real testimony is about what God has done in a persons life
If lies are not necessary then why do you and the anti-Mo crowd insist on doing it. The irony is, every word of your post can be applied to you and the anti-mo crowd. You have seen plenty of contradictions pointed out, you are just so blinded by the fantasies you must emerse yourself in, in order to make your religion work, that no matter what is said or pointed out, you look through those rose colored glasses and only see what you want to see. you wanted the easy way & you found it. good job!
Matthew &:21 says only those who do the Fathers will, shall enter the Kingdom of heaven. John 6:40 says that the will of the Father is that everyone who believes, or puts his trust in the Son may have everlasting life. Actually Mormonism is all about convenience. Everyone goes to a heaven, and only ex-Mormons can possibly go to a hell. Problem is this is 180 degrees opposite of what Jesus taught. Broad is the way that leads to destruction and hell, narrow is the way that leads to life.
You are correct sir, narrow is the way and straight is the gate, so how exactly are you going to fit thousands of contradictory Christian Fundamentalists through that narrow gate? And again, you fabricate more lies when you state that Mormons believe everyone goes to heaven, you know that's not true, why do you lie? You are a very good sheep for the Fishy On The Bumper Brigade, I will give you that! You definately toe the line with everything your pastor tells you to say!
Mormonism teaches three heavens, or kingdoms of glory, and every person on the planet according to your own scriptures goes to one of them. The only exception being the "sons of perdition" who consists only of satan and his demons, and ex-Mormons. Biblically, heaven is only heaven, if God is there. That is why Hell is eternal separation from God. The gate is narrow enough, that only those who have put their trust in God, for their salvation, may enter, by grace through faith.
All the spirits that were DISLOYAL TO GOD IN MORTALITY since the time of NOAH that waited what seemed like an Eternity for Jesus Christ to innaugurate teachers in the spirit world to preach the true and unwatered down gospel to all that passed without a knowledge of the true gospel of JESUS CHRIST.
The Lowest kingdom will be the worker bees and servants. I don't think anyone should wanna 'strive' for the lowest kingdom. It's not that great. Only beautiful, because it still is a kingdom, but it won't be all fun and games as it will be a working class. At least this is how I understand it.
Only in the Celestial Kingdom will one recieve blessings and be with the father and the son.
God the Father and the Son will not be in the Telestial Kingdom.
God the Father and the Son will be in the Celestial Kingdom, The Son may visit the Terrestrial Kingdom, and the Holy Ghost may visit the Telestial Kingdom.
In order to accept Jesus Christ, take on his name, and join his church by standing in the water and be immersed by someone that holds God's authority as did John the Baptist.
I suggest reading the gospel principles about the resurrection of the dead. You may read about it online.
It gives the sequence and order in which all souls will be reunited with their bodies prior to judgement day.
Remember paul's words "There are bodies Celestial, and there are bodies Terrestrial, but the bodies of the Celestial is one and the bodies of the Terrestial is another. Then he likens the Celestial bodies to the brightness of the sun. Terrestial likened to the moon, ect
I'm sorry TrueSaints, but you are throwing a sincere effort to teach at a person (comancherock) that already thinks he knows what Mormons believe, he has a clear and defined agenda to get online, lie, distort and perpetuate contempt for the Mormon religion. You are naive if you can't see his agenda and are casting your pearls before swine.
Very true! I just like messing with him. I just laugh when guys like him get as giddy as a school girl, because they really think they are posting these profound questions that are new and inventive, and we are just not capable of answering. They seriously believe that they are actually going to have an impact on the church or swaying people from joining. After 200 years of whining about the same things over and over, to no avail, you would think they would get a clue, but they don't.
Hater, are you that naive to believe that huge wall cities 36 to be exact with hundreds of thousands 0f people could leave no trace? ARE YOU SERIOUS! lol
I thought that your "so intelligent" why do you believe in a book that has no proof? why do you put you and your familys eternity on a book that has so many Plagiarisms the BOM has some 27,000 words that were taken directly from the Bible.
Give a good answer to the question we been waiting for 200 years wheres the evidence?
ok Short-Bus, lets try this again. lets just say that every archeologist on the planet, all agreed that the Book of Mormon is an accurate historical document, would the Book of Mormon in turn, prove that God exists and that Jesus died on the cross for your sins? No dooosh, it would not. Just as historical proof that the Bible is indeed a book, that was indeed written, is not proof of anything that actually matters. Anything of value taught in the Bible is a pure matter of faith.
Thats the problem theres not one creditable archeologist thats going to say that theres proof that the BOM really happen. The Bible tells us not to have blind faith just because theres 10 millions Mormons that believe its true that some how its got to be true.
I tell you theres 1.3 billion Muslims that believe Muhammad is a true Prophet of God,and believe the Quran is true.
You missed the point completely! Nothing taught in the Bible that has any real meaning to Christians, like, God exists, he answers prayers, Christ died for our sins, None of those things can be proven by archeology. The only things of any importance in the Bible, must be taken on faith. So what difference does it make whether or not there is archeological proof for anything dealing with religion, other than the fact that you have no faith. Or your faith is in man, not God.
Bruce Mc-Conkie said "good" people who were not worthy of becoming gods would still benefit in the after life.He went on to say they will go on to the second kingdom known as the terrestrial kingdom.
While this level is not desirable as the celestial kingdom D&C 76:77 says the presence of the Son is there.
I"m may not be as smart as you guys but hey Jesus used Peter a unlearned fisherman to tunn the World upside down.
But I do know that either way if i die Im good, unlike you.
Oh your good? cause you said the magic words? You are so lucky that God loves you so much more than the billions of people who HAVE LIVED and DIED without ever getting the chance to say your magic prayer! I have magic underwear, and you have the magic prayer! But my underwear don't condemn billions of wonderful children of God to a fiery hell the way your magic prayer does. Is God really going to send billions of his beloved children to hell cause they didn't hear your magic prayer?
I dont believe in no magic prayer theres no example in the Bible of anyone praying a prayer like that. And yes I do believe the God of the Bible loves everyone and he sent his Son to die for ALL of are sins.
Gods gave us a chose to believe in him and his Son Jesus, hes not making people go to hell its going to be their chose.
Your not going to have an excuse because im telling you that the god and jesus of Mormonism is totally different from the God and Jesus of the Bible like night and day
You keep ducking from 1 inescapable point! Billions have lived and died without the chance to choose Christ. If you deny this point then you better ask someone to help you remove your head from your butt. Are the people who did not get to choose Christ in this life going to burn in hell? By the way, you believe in a catholic invented Nicean Trinity that is NOT Biblical. When protestants broke away, why didn't they invent their own version of God, instead of that mess the catholics invented.
The Bible clearly teaches that there is only one God. There are three persons in the Bible Who are each described as being God. You are baptized into the name of not names of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:7 says there are three Who are One. No person on this planet has died, not having sufficient information to know there is a God, that they are a sinner, and they can only be saved by the grace of God. Read Romans Chapter 1 and Chapter 3.
They are CLEARLY one in purpose, not in body. This version of God was created by the catholics for the simple purpose of making God so incomprehensible that the members would accept their popes as being the physical and all powerful representation of God on earth. You are living a complete fantasy if you think no one has died without having a chance to accept Christ. I get that admitting this puts a giant hole in your false doctrine, but think this through before defending bad doctrine.
Christ is not some magical code word for salvation. Jesus Christ was God in human flesh. God paid the price for sin. Every person on this planet has seen irrefutable evidence that there is a God. & they are born with a conscience that condemns them when they sin. A condemned sinners only hope, is grace. The grace of God is evident to all, in that He does not immediately take our life the moment we sin. You can call Romans chapter 1 & 3 false doctrine if you wish, but God will not agree with you.
You require that every person must verbally accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in order to avoid going to hell. It is a long stretch from having a conscience and some sense that their is a God, and actually accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. You know very well that billions have lived and died without ever hearing the name of Christ, let alone accept him as their Savior. Why are billions condemned to a fiery hell, through no fault of their own?
I require nothing. The Bible teaches that there is no other name given under heaven, by which men may be saved. But the Bible is not about mystical formulas. The Bible teaches very clearly that salvation is by the grace (unmerited, unearned, and undeserved favor)of God, through faith (trusting in God). There are only two groups of people at death. Those who think they merit and deserve heaven, or that heaven must be earned. & those who realize their only hope of heaven, is by the grace of God.
Alright dooosh, you know I didn't mean you personally require something, but your religion does. I can't believe you even went there. Its just another lame attempt to jump around the issue that you refuse to answer. Way to keep deflecting the question by trying to turn this into a "saved by grace or works" issue. Very clever tactic! I'll ask again, what happens to those people who never had the opportunity to accept Jesus as their savior, as is required by your religion to avoid a fiery hell?
My "religion" is the word of God & what it says. I don't follow the dictates of a man made relifious system, but I follow the word of God. Every person born on this planet has had opportunity to be saved. Every person stands condemned by their own consciences, for doing things that they themselves knew were wrong, at the time they did them. Every person Knows God exists, though they may choose to ignore or reject Him, because of their sin. Only God can forgive sin, & He can only do it by grace.
But guess what? So will I. I will die and go to the spirit world too and await the day of Christ's return and the resurrection. And I won't recieve any Kingdom either until after the resurrection.
There are Hundreds or twists and lies in the book or mormon, You dont even know the mormon church has abandoned the trinity and now only believes in the father and the son, no holy spirit. How is it I know more than you about your own faith mullet and im not even mormon
you, my retarded friend, are a complete doooosh! Ministers like you with diminished brain capacity are exactly why there are thousands of contradicting fundamentalist christian churches. God has commanded that thou shalt not lie! There is no righteous justification for lying. You are right though the Mormons do not accept your nicean trinity, floating mass of indescribable goo god. We do believe in God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ, in the Holy Ghost as defined in the KJV of the bible.
How come no reply to my last post pastor dooosh? Did you get caught in an outright lie and now you have no reply? I think so! You don't know your own religion, let alone the Mormon religion. There is a vast difference between knowing what the Mormon church believes and posting your fabricated lies that you generated during your last bible study class held in your rented out strip mall chapel. by the way, which Rock band is playing at your services this week? yeeha, you sure can rock at church!
I have never had a mormon answer any valid questions, they always try to go back to their book or mormon and when you show them in the proper 66 inspired scriptures from greek or hebrew books they just say I pray for you and leave they will not allow you to show them anything that is correct. I am a Minister and am fully quallified to preach. I have yet had any make one valid point and show a scripture to back up their point, Also the mormon church no longer accpets the trinity, Its Binary
The only thing a lying sack of dukey like you is qualified to do, is lick the inside of the window on the short bus you ride to school each day. And don't whine about the insult. If you choose to knowingly lie, then be man enough to take some criticism. Your non-biblical, Catholic/Nicean fabricated definition of the incomprehensible floating goo-god is correctly not worshiped by the Mormons. But I would rightly call God,Jesus,& the Holy Ghost a trinity, that we do indeed worship and praise.

you can not change a man or woman's religion when they are dead.

I laugh at people that keep calling mormonism a cult. Try looking up what a cult really is before you place that label on mormonism. Cults worship satan. If you want to try to argue that mormons do, I would wonder where you get that thought, but would still lead you to Luke 11: 14-20. Mormons teach to love Christ, worship and serve Him, not Satan.
dekidd007 1 year ago
@dekidd007 Mormons believe that Satan is the brother of Jesus, that God has a physical body, that God had sex with Mary, that we can become gods, and their temples have pagan and satanic symbols on them. Now tell me that Mormons don't have anything to do with Satan. On the Navoo temple in Utah are symbols of the sun god. That is pagan. Mormons are NOT Christian
sirhood2 1 year ago
I continue to laugh at all people that call Mormonism a cult. Do you even know what a cult is? A cult worships satan. Look it up. If you try to make the claim that Mormons do worship satan, I direct you to Luke 11: 14-20. Mormons teach to follow Christ, and oppose satan. If they worship satan, they are divided and will never stand.
dekidd007 1 year ago
@dekidd007 Mormons also believe that they belong to the TRUE church, which is a lie. They believe that god lives on some planet out there. THEIR little god does, but true Christains KNOW that OUR God lives in our hearts. Heaven is his thrown and earth is his footstool! That being said, How can such a huge God live on some tiny planet? And that mormons believe they will become gods and rule their own little planet is blasphemy! That is not christain teaching. Therefore, Mormonism is a cult!

@eitoobmiz

To be just God must see to it all have the opportunity to be baptized.

uh, wrong. a cult is not defined as a group that "worships" Satan. typically, a cult is a group that is authoritarian, exploitative and is believed to use dangerous rituals or mind control. that is the sociological definition and far more accurate.
since the mormon church is authoritarian, and, according to some, exploitative, with bizarre temple rituals, that is why it is sometimes labeled a cult. I'm not saying I agree... I'm just explaining.
ScienceReasonBelief 10 months ago
@dekidd007 The word cult pejoratively refers to a group whose beliefs or practices are considered abnormal or bizarre. You are in a cult, so it follows you don't know what a cult is. A cult by defintition does not have to worship satan. You are sadlly uninformed. No offense.
ighter4 10 months ago
@ighter4 Ahh, but where do you get your definition, for I have found both as the definition of cult. As for strange beliefs, I believe that every religion has strange beliefs, therefore all religions are cults by that definition. What is normal? I use that question towards everything. The saints in Christ's time were considered a peculiar people. People thought their beliefs were abnormal or bizarre. If believe something bizarre makes Mormanism a cult, then I want to be part of a cult.
dekidd007 10 months ago

These people maybe well meaning and compassionate lot . But when it comes to God they are the most deluded of all, they are bankrupt when it comes to any evidence.
No plates, No DNA supporting evidence for the Lamanites, No archeological finds of Zarahemla or of a civilisation containing steel, horses or elephants that supposedly occupied the whole american continent.
kramd1 1 year ago
@kramd1 we have no plates because god took them, the DNA is native americans themselves, most cities were destroyed after the death of christ, we never had elephants. read the BOM before you make assumptions, and since when do horses NOT occupy america? plus steel rusts dont it they were primitive making steel as good as it is today so it can last ain't excactly that easy back then.
deliciousd2 1 year ago
@deliciousd2
Why didn't Smith make a copy of the plates?
DNA evidence overwhelmingly shows Native Americans were of Asian descent, not Hebrew.
The cities still have archaeological finds amongst the ruins.
The steel theory doesn't really hold water because coins were found in Bible archaeological digs and they lasted.
rodwyr 1 year ago

Ten sign of a CULT/Dangerous Leader(s)
1. Absolute authoritarianism without meaningful accountability.
2. No tolerance for questions or critical inquiry.
3. No meaningful financial disclosure regarding budget, expenses such as an independently audited financial statement.
4. Unreasonable fear about the outside world, such as impending catastrophe, evil conspiracies and persecutions.
5. There is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always wrong in leaving, negative or even evil.

Mosiah 26:27-"And then I will confess unto them that I never knew them; and they shall depart into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Even the BoM refutes baptism for the dead.
rodwyr 2 years ago
First off, it's spiritually dangerous to base an entire theology off of one verse. Second, in ch. 15, when Paul speaks of himself and other believers as WE. But in verse 29, he says THEY, as in not him or the church. So, he's pointing to someone else. Baptism for the dead has never been part of the early church or Christianity at any point in time. It's a pagan ritual.
rodwyr 2 years ago
Uh, rodwyr, you obviously know NOTHING of early Christian practices. Try actually studying history. I dare you.
Gregvnielsen 2 years ago

And no we don't hold Joseph Smith higher than Jesus, Joseph Smith was just a prophet for us
Splintermetalgear 1 year ago
@rodwyr
The Book of Mormon does not contain all the teachings that are in the church today, nor does anyone claim as such. The purpose of the Book of Mormon is to show that God has the love, power and desire to share his teachings with all his children.
Once a person has come to know the Book of Mormon is a companion book to the Bible, they can also know that God continues to call and communicate to modern day prophets today, no different from Moses or Noah or Paul or Peter in ancient times.
djwright44 1 year ago
@djwright44
1) So the BoM does NOT contain the 'fulness of the gospel'?
2) If there is one Mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 2:5), then why would I need to receive "revelation" from a "modern-day prophet"? See also Hebrews 2:1-2
3) Is the LDS church in apostasy since the last "revelation" from the "prophet" was over 30 yrs. ago in 1978 dealing with blacks & the priesthood, which conveniently happened in the middle of the Civil Rights movement?
rodwyr 1 year ago
@rodwyr
1) The BOM:contains the fulness of the Gospel as it confirms that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and taught directly to people beyond the ancient middle east....thus confirming his ability to teach to whom he chooses.
djwright44 1 year ago
@rodwyr

Tons who recieved revelations about christs coming hahaha kinda funnier last time i checked i think there were atleast 3 or 4 Nephi named prophets
deliciousd2 1 year ago
@rodwyr
3) The prophets gave their warning about the family (1995 proclamation...look it up) far before the modern day marriage uproar. A perfect example of watchmen on the tower seeing far ahead of the world and Satan's influence (and lots of pressure, but no change: the LDS church is the world leader in defending and supporting marriage and family as God ordained them and will continue with this stand regardless of the consequences.
djwright44 1 year ago
@djwright44
If the "revelation" contradicts previous revelation, then it's false...(cont'd.)
rodwyr 1 year ago
@djwright44

@deliciousd2

I only have one question. What type of a god, would allow a mans eternity to be on another mans choices? Personally I would not even care to know this god.
justcary 2 years ago
Baptism is not necessary for salvaiton, the apostle Paul excludes himself from the group of people practicing baptisms for the dead, in the only verse where baptism for the dead is mentioned in the entire Bible. The apostle Paul also says that he was not sent to baptize but to preach the gospel in 1 Corinthians 1:17 showing a clear separation between baptism and the gospel, which he links directly with the preaching of the cross in 1 Corinthians 1:18. Marriages for the dead is the secret part.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Unfortunately the carter family is being misled by a dillusional fool that apparently has not read the Bible lately. There is plenty of doctrine that is difficult to understand and can be debated, but Baptism for the Remission of sins is not one of them. This is just a small example of how far the Christian Fundamentalist will go to justify their own twisted version of what Christ taught. This is why there are thousands of CF churches in world contradicting each other at every turn. Sad really.
mulletthater 2 years ago
If you ever were to read the Bible, & not try to make it say what you want it to say, but actually read it for what it says. It would be hard for you to maintain your beliefs in the Mormon church for long, without completely rejecting what the Bible clearly teaches. God meant what He said, & He said what He meant in the Bible, it is not some mythical code book. Some of it may be a bit hard to grasp on your first time through it, but you do not need someone else to tell you what it clearly says.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
There is nothing clear about your individual, subjective and flawed interpretation of the what the Bible teaches. You said "If you ever were to read the Bible, & not try to make it say what you want it to say". I am sure you realize this is just a matter of perspective, because that statement is just as applicable to you and your thousands of contradicting Christian Fundamentalist churches, as it is to me. You see what you want to see and find just what justifies the life you want to live.
mulletthater 2 years ago
The Bible contains only one clear message. The story of the tree little pigs, is not about the adventures of Tom Sawyer. The Bible says what it means, and means what it says. I read it for what it clearly says. If I wrote a book, people would not need some guru to explain what I meant. Why do people think that God needs some human guru, to explain what He means. He meant what He said, and He said what He meant. You need to read it all, to get the best understanding of it though.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
I can't find the post where you said this, so I will just reply here. You said "Every person born on this planet has had opportunity to be saved." Honestly! I understand that you have to convince yourself that, that is true, because otherwise, you have a huge doctrinal problem that you can't resolve. But, that assertion requires a willing suspension of disbelief. You are living a complete fantasy if you think no one has ever lived & died without the chance to declare Christ as their savior.
mulletthater 2 years ago
Christ is not a magic code word, He is God. The Bible teaches that God is not willing that any should perish, it teaches that if anyone starts reall seeking God, they will find Him. The Bible also teaches that it is appointed to man once to die, & after this the judgment. There are no 2nd chances after death. Show me 1 verse where Jesus even indicated a possibility of a 2nd chance after death. He told a story of a rich man & Lazarus, the rich man went to hell, & I believe wanted a
2nd chance.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
The Mormons do not and have never taught that we all get a second chance. The work for the dead is about a person getting a first chance to accept Christ. You still work under this complete dillusion that no one has ever died in all the history of man kind without having the opportunity to fully accept Christ as their savior, which is REQUIRED for salvation. I understand why you have to convince yourself of that silliness, but it is just completely irrational and untrue.
mulletthater 2 years ago
Show me one verse in the entire Bible, that indicates that someone may have never had the chance to know God. Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Show me one verse in the Bible or Book of Mormon where marriages are done in temples, or done for the dead. Jesus said there is no marriage in heaven. There is one verse in the New testament, zero in the BOM that mentions baptism for the dead, & Paul excludes himself from this group of people.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
I just wanted to say... I liked the video. :) I'm Mormon and proud, and I think it's sad that people are arguing and bickering about religions and which one's right and which one's wrong... honestly, I think we should "live and let live", as the saying goes. True Christianity=love, peace, charity, kindness, compassion, warmth...every single positive thing you can imagine. Now, we as Christians should stick together and love eachother and God instead of fighting over who does it best or right. :)
xDareBearx13 2 years ago
JS started it by saying all other churches were wrong and all there creeds are abomination, Christian beliefs and Mormons beliefs are not even close so to say Mormons are Christians is a insult to them. That would be like us calling ourselfs Mormons would you like that?
ComancheRock 2 years ago
You are working under the mistaken assumption that your catholic, nicean, trinity fantasy is correct. There is nothing but chaos, confusion, and disagreement among the thousands of christian fundamentalist churches. How can you ignore that fact, long enough to decide whether or not a Mormon is a Christian. Unify all of the chaos among the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Assembly of Pentacostal, Apostolic churches of God in Christ - Unitarianism first, then tear down another churches bellefs.
mulletthater 2 years ago
The Bible teaches very clearly that salvation is by grace through faith(Ephesians 2:8,9). It also teaches that grace and works are opposites (Romans 11:6). The Bible teaches that God is not a man (Numbers 23:19), and that there never has been a time when God was not God and there never will be another God formed. (Isaiah 43:10 & 44:6-8 Jeremiah 10:10,11 etc. etc.) There is not nearly the division you would like to think, between true Christian churches. Mormonism has a different Jesus.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Mormons believe that salvation is only through the grace of Christ, we just don't believe saying the magic words, I believe, gets you a free pass into heaven, regardless of what atrocities you might commit during your life. By the way, when Christ was resurrected and the multitudes felt the scars in his hands and in his feet and touched his physical body, where in the Bible does it state that he died again and lost that physical body? Why thousand of different churches formed if not for division
mulletthater 2 years ago
Jesus took His physical body with Him, but He is not confined to it. The Bible teaches that Christ dwells inside of believers. A physical human cannot dwell inside of another physical human. The very first form of idolatry listed in Romans Chapter 1 verse 23, is that men want to make God into a man. Christian churches do sometimes disagree on some things, like types of music, dress, baptism by imersion or sprinkling etc. They agree that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Good to see that their is a different road for everyone to find their own way back to god. We'll just ignore the Bible clearly stating that STRAIGHT is the way and NARROW is the gate and we'll just call, "close to the truth", good enough. The funny thing is, regardless of how many inconsistencies and loose intrepretations you have in the Christian Fundamentalist world, you still have the audacity to stand in judgment of the Mormons. Clean your own house first before worrying about another's.
mulletthater 2 years ago
Interesting that you would bring this verse up, since the Mormon church teaches exactly the opposite of it. Mormonism teaches that everyone will go to a heaven, unless they have been a Mormon and rebelled against Mormonism. Mormonism even teaches chances to accept their gospel after a person dies, which makes trying to convert people to Mormonism evil, the way I see it, if Mormonism were true, since it only opens opportunity for damnation.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
I am not sure which hole that post exited from, but it is clear that you know nothing about what Mormons believe. Of course I was already aware that your frame of reference as it relates to your knowledge of what Mormons actually believe is steeped in complete ignorance. With that in mind, exactly what is it that qualifies you to stand in judgment of the Mormons? Aside from your ability to simply repeat the lies you read from all the other born again nut jobs, what qualifies you to be judge?
mulletthater 2 years ago
I am not interested in being any Mormon persons judge, I am interested in their salvation. As a former Mormon, born, brainwashed, & raised in it, I know from
1st hand experience the fraud & deception it is built upon. I've got several videos posted which clearly explain the fraud of the Mormon church, & it's false prophets. Jesus warned there would be false Christs & false gospels, He also declared that His word would never pass away & the gates of Hell would never prevail against His church.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
aah, now it is clear. Get over it, move on, don't lie
mulletthater 2 years ago
Mormons don't ever hurt me, they are just people. The lies that Mormons believe, and that I believed, do hurt people, because lies always hurt. I was once to proud to, to believe that I could believe a lie, but lies are not even good lies unless they look true. That is why satan transforms himself into an angel of light. Jesus said a man must be born again to go to heaven, and the Bible clearly teaches in 1 Corinthians 1:18 that the preaching of the cross if foolish to those who are perishing.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Chances are extremely high, that you were never really an active member of the church, but as a form of manipulation and deceit, I am sure you find pulling the ol, "I was a Mormon" card useful. There are many simple minded born agains, that believe every lie that exits your pie hole. And you are right, Mormon beliefs, like Following Christ's example, serving others, being self sufficient productive members of society, humanitarian relief worldwide, family centered, yes, all very harmful beliefs!
mulletthater 2 years ago
Jesus said in Matthew 7:22, that many would come to Him saying Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name cast out devils and done many wonderful works? Jesus said He would respond and say unto them, depart from Me because I never knew you. Mormons talk a lot about Jesus, but they do not even know Him. Jesus was the creator of Satan, not his brother. Jesus is God, the one and only, see John chapter 1. I was born and raised in Mormonism, I left when I was 27, or 28, I am 38.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
I see your nutty pastor has taught you well, in the ways of diversion and never really making a point, only endless rambling nonsense. What ever works for you man. I don't give 2 shits what you believe, but I do think you ought to live your life more constructively. Your anti-Mormon bashing is time much better spent with your wife or children.
mulletthater 2 years ago
The main point is this. Jesus said He is the way to heaven in John 14:6 this means no church is the way to heaven. The Bible teaches salvation by the grace of God, through our faith in God, & not of works. Mormonism teaches salvation by works. Romans 11:6 teaches that grace & works are exact opposites. Satan brought his false religion 1st to Adam & Eve by getting them to doubt the word of God. Mormonism continues to spread his religion, the same way, by causing people to doubt the word of God.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
James 2: 14, 17-18, 20-22, 24-26. "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that afaith without works is dead?" Even though these scriptures are as clear as day to understand, and the Romans 11:6 reference is as clear as mud. I am sure you will continue to twist the scriptures to suit your needs. And by the way, Mormons believe that all of the works in the world will not save them without the grace of Christ. We are saved by grace. This argument is so old and worn out.
mulletthater 2 years ago
Faith without works is certainly dead, but the works do not produce faith, the faith produces the works. You try to make James say something it does not say, that works produce salvation, then you get confused over the direct statement in Romans 11:6? Ephesians 2:8,9 says it very clearly "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast." Our works always indicate what we believe. Works come after, not before faith
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Salvation by grace, says God did everything necessary to save us, all by Himself. We can do nothing to earn or deserve grace, it is freely given. We must however accept the grace offered. To attempt to earn, or deserve heaven, is to reject grace. Works produce pride, & are done out of pride, if they are done to earn salvation. Grace produces humility, because we do not deserve grace, acceptance of grace produces works to glorify God, not us, because we deserve wrath, not glory.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
It is absolutely true that Works without grace is also dead. The two are not mutually exclusive, they are not opposite of each other. The chicken and the egg argument is not helping you here. Mormons believe if you do not accept the grace of Christ, you cannot be saved. I can tell you with certainty, that after you accept the grace of Christ, if you then butcher a hundred chickens and screw a beagle, your salvation is not guaranteed. You can't work your way in, but you sure can work your way out
mulletthater 2 years ago
Romans 11:6 "And if by grace, then is it no more of works; otherwise grace is no more grace, But if it be of works, then is it no more grace, otherwise work is no more work." Grace is unmerited, undeserved, unearned favor. Works are done for and earn wages. Works without grace is absolutely always the case. Works are done for pay. Grace is never deserved, or earned. Grace is getting exactly what you definitely do not deserve. Romans 5:8 While we were sinners (enemies of God) Christ died for us.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
I don't try to make James say anything that he did not clearly state. Let me say it again, Mormons believe we are saved by grace alone. I know the born agains hang their hat on this supposed difference in doctrine. The only difference is, you believe after you say the magic words, "I believe" that you can't be unsaved, no matter how much sin you commit. I know, you are defending the "Golden Ticket" that gives you the easy way out and no accountability for your actions. But it is non-Biblical
mulletthater 2 years ago
This can only make sense if you are born again. 1 Corinthians 2:14. Since you are not born again, you still naturally would like to do as much evil as you can get away with. After a person is born again, God gives us a new heart, that desires to do what God wants us to do. Not that we are incapable of sinning, but the want tos change. Before I was saved, I had over 1000 dollars worth of very worldly music and movies, that meant more to me than my family. I threw it in the trash after I got saved
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Of course it only makes sense to a born again! This is your golden ticket!, its the road most traveled, the easy path! I would defend it too, if I were you and had nothing else! God gives you a new heart is such a weak argument. Of course, he does! but it does not exclude you from sin. I could send you a huge list of scriptures that talk about the necessity to actually DO God's will, but I am sure you will ignore them as they are not very convenient for you. You see what you want to see.
mulletthater 2 years ago
Well I can guarantee you, that if you compared my attitude about God, & others, to your attitude about God & others, you would find much more reverence, awe, & worship of God, in my heart than yours. You would also find far less criticism of others, & self righteousness in my heart than in yours. But that is what Mormonism breeds: self righteousness, pride, & judgmentalism, because you always have to compare yourself to someone else, to prove to yourself that you are better than they are.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Are you serious? You and the rest of the born again nut jobs spend countless hours fabricating untruths about Mormonism, you come on youtube and spread the lies, and then call us self righteous because we call you out on your own contradictions! Thats funny! Just claiming that you are more humble is a form of pride! And you call the Mormons brain washed. Look in the mirror, there you will find someone who has been brainwashed.
mulletthater 2 years ago
There is absolutely no neet 2 lie at all, about Mormonism, it is built on a massive foundation of lies. I only point out the lies it is founded upon. I've yet to see a Mormon point out a contradiction with Christianity, & the Bible. Adolph Hitler said, if you tell a lie loud enough long enough & often enough, the people will believe it. A Mormon testimony is a repetitious formulated statement of the supposed truthfulness of Mormonism. A real testimony is about what God has done in a persons life
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
If lies are not necessary then why do you and the anti-Mo crowd insist on doing it. The irony is, every word of your post can be applied to you and the anti-mo crowd. You have seen plenty of contradictions pointed out, you are just so blinded by the fantasies you must emerse yourself in, in order to make your religion work, that no matter what is said or pointed out, you look through those rose colored glasses and only see what you want to see. you wanted the easy way & you found it. good job!
mulletthater 2 years ago
Matthew &:21 says only those who do the Fathers will, shall enter the Kingdom of heaven. John 6:40 says that the will of the Father is that everyone who believes, or puts his trust in the Son may have everlasting life. Actually Mormonism is all about convenience. Everyone goes to a heaven, and only ex-Mormons can possibly go to a hell. Problem is this is 180 degrees opposite of what Jesus taught. Broad is the way that leads to destruction and hell, narrow is the way that leads to life.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
You are correct sir, narrow is the way and straight is the gate, so how exactly are you going to fit thousands of contradictory Christian Fundamentalists through that narrow gate? And again, you fabricate more lies when you state that Mormons believe everyone goes to heaven, you know that's not true, why do you lie? You are a very good sheep for the Fishy On The Bumper Brigade, I will give you that! You definately toe the line with everything your pastor tells you to say!
mulletthater 2 years ago
Mormonism teaches three heavens, or kingdoms of glory, and every person on the planet according to your own scriptures goes to one of them. The only exception being the "sons of perdition" who consists only of satan and his demons, and ex-Mormons. Biblically, heaven is only heaven, if God is there. That is why Hell is eternal separation from God. The gate is narrow enough, that only those who have put their trust in God, for their salvation, may enter, by grace through faith.

Where from there can wait for the resurrection of the dead and then be judged ACCORDING to OUR WORKS, THOUGHTS, DEEDS.
Then according to our works in life all will be judged having heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and will be on the SAME page.

ComancheRock 2 years ago
I suggest reading the gospel principles about the resurrection of the dead. You may read about it online.
It gives the sequence and order in which all souls will be reunited with their bodies prior to judgement day.
Remember paul's words "There are bodies Celestial, and there are bodies Terrestrial, but the bodies of the Celestial is one and the bodies of the Terrestial is another. Then he likens the Celestial bodies to the brightness of the sun. Terrestial likened to the moon, ect
TrueSaintsLDS 2 years ago
Paradise and Heaven aren't the SAME EXACT thing. Christians today confuse this point.
HEAVEN will be rewarded after the final judgement and we have reunited with our bodies.
PARADISE is for spirits awaiting the resurrection who have accepted christ and entered in at the gate by being baptized as was JESUS CHRIST.

ComancheRock 2 years ago
ok Short-Bus, lets try this again. lets just say that every archeologist on the planet, all agreed that the Book of Mormon is an accurate historical document, would the Book of Mormon in turn, prove that God exists and that Jesus died on the cross for your sins? No dooosh, it would not. Just as historical proof that the Bible is indeed a book, that was indeed written, is not proof of anything that actually matters. Anything of value taught in the Bible is a pure matter of faith.
mulletthater 2 years ago
Thats the problem theres not one creditable archeologist thats going to say that theres proof that the BOM really happen. The Bible tells us not to have blind faith just because theres 10 millions Mormons that believe its true that some how its got to be true.
I tell you theres 1.3 billion Muslims that believe Muhammad is a true Prophet of God,and believe the Quran is true.
ComancheRock 2 years ago

ComancheRock 2 years ago
Oh your good? cause you said the magic words? You are so lucky that God loves you so much more than the billions of people who HAVE LIVED and DIED without ever getting the chance to say your magic prayer! I have magic underwear, and you have the magic prayer! But my underwear don't condemn billions of wonderful children of God to a fiery hell the way your magic prayer does. Is God really going to send billions of his beloved children to hell cause they didn't hear your magic prayer?
mulletthater 2 years ago
I dont believe in no magic prayer theres no example in the Bible of anyone praying a prayer like that. And yes I do believe the God of the Bible loves everyone and he sent his Son to die for ALL of are sins.
Gods gave us a chose to believe in him and his Son Jesus, hes not making people go to hell its going to be their chose.
Your not going to have an excuse because im telling you that the god and jesus of Mormonism is totally different from the God and Jesus of the Bible like night and day
ComancheRock 2 years ago

Read Romans Chapter 1 and Chapter 3.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
They are CLEARLY one in purpose, not in body. This version of God was created by the catholics for the simple purpose of making God so incomprehensible that the members would accept their popes as being the physical and all powerful representation of God on earth. You are living a complete fantasy if you think no one has died without having a chance to accept Christ. I get that admitting this puts a giant hole in your false doctrine, but think this through before defending bad doctrine.
mulletthater 2 years ago
Christ is not some magical code word for salvation. Jesus Christ was God in human flesh. God paid the price for sin. Every person on this planet has seen irrefutable evidence that there is a God. & they are born with a conscience that condemns them when they sin. A condemned sinners only hope, is grace. The grace of God is evident to all, in that He does not immediately take our life the moment we sin. You can call Romans chapter 1 & 3 false doctrine if you wish, but God will not agree with you.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
You require that every person must verbally accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in order to avoid going to hell. It is a long stretch from having a conscience and some sense that their is a God, and actually accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. You know very well that billions have lived and died without ever hearing the name of Christ, let alone accept him as their Savior. Why are billions condemned to a fiery hell, through no fault of their own?
mulletthater 2 years ago
I require nothing. The Bible teaches that there is no other name given under heaven, by which men may be saved. But the Bible is not about mystical formulas. The Bible teaches very clearly that salvation is by the grace (unmerited, unearned, and undeserved favor)of God, through faith (trusting in God). There are only two groups of people at death. Those who think they merit and deserve heaven, or that heaven must be earned. & those who realize their only hope of heaven, is by the grace of God.
carterfamily8903 2 years ago
Alright dooosh, you know I didn't mean you personally require something, but your religion does. I can't believe you even went there. Its just another lame attempt to jump around the issue that you refuse to answer. Way to keep deflecting the question by trying to turn this into a "saved by grace or works" issue. Very clever tactic! I'll ask again, what happens to those people who never had the opportunity to accept Jesus as their savior, as is required by your religion to avoid a fiery hell?
mulletthater 2 years ago
My "religion" is the word of God & what it says. I don't follow the dictates of a man made relifious system, but I follow the word of God. Every person born on this planet has had opportunity to be saved. Every person stands condemned by their own consciences, for doing things that they themselves knew were wrong, at the time they did them. Every person Knows God exists, though they may choose to ignore or reject Him, because of their sin. Only God can forgive sin, & He can only do it by grace.

the spirit world is where we go and await our resurrection and THEN judgement and then .... and only then can one attain a "kingdom" or inheritance.
The Thief on the cross went to the spirit world.
TrueSaintsLDS 2 years ago
But guess what? So will I. I will die and go to the spirit world too and await the day of Christ's return and the resurrection. And I won't recieve any Kingdom either until after the resurrection.

True LDS, who goes to outer darkness it seems like most people will go to one of three Kingdoms?
And are saying people will get a second chance?

Every Knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God!
That scripture would include people that believed in Islam, Buddhaism, Taoism and any other ism you can think of.

There are Hundreds or twists and lies in the book or mormon, You dont even know the mormon church has abandoned the trinity and now only believes in the father and the son, no holy spirit. How is it I know more than you about your own faith mullet and im not even mormon
dajhrm 2 years ago
you, my retarded friend, are a complete doooosh!

There is a vast difference between knowing what the Mormon church believes and posting your fabricated lies that you generated during your last bible study class held in your rented out strip mall chapel. by the way, which Rock band is playing at your services this week? yeeha, you sure can rock at church!
mulletthater 2 years ago
I have never had a mormon answer any valid questions, they always try to go back to their book or mormon and when you show them in the proper 66 inspired scriptures from greek or hebrew books they just say I pray for you and leave they will not allow you to show them anything that is correct. I am a Minister and am fully quallified to preach. I have yet had any make one valid point and show a scripture to back up their point, Also the mormon church no longer accpets the trinity, Its Binary
dajhrm 2 years ago
The only thing a lying sack of dukey like you is qualified to do, is lick the inside of the window on the short bus you ride to school each day. And don't whine about the insult. If you choose to knowingly lie, then be man enough to take some criticism. Your non-biblical, Catholic/Nicean fabricated definition of the incomprehensible floating goo-god is correctly not worshiped by the Mormons. But I would rightly call God,Jesus,& the Holy Ghost a trinity, that we do indeed worship and praise.
