  • I didnt even think this was possible, good one man.

  • i don't even know why i even played on this card dam its laggy :O

  • Crysis works well on my radeon 9800XT AthlonXP 3000+ 1gb ddr @ 1152x864 ;) detail low and some high - looks preety good.

    nvidia ssie pałe ;D

  • just ordered a 9800 and 3 sticks of 512 ram for my old computer because the last card finally died. got it for $45 off ebay and there is a year warranty. feels good to go back to 2004. its going to be better than ever

  • lol the 9800pro is from 2003 XD and for sure it works :)

  • 9800PRO is from the 2004 and look...CRYSIS works absolutely perfect on low grafics!!!!BETTER THAN NOTHING

  • I was able to run crysis on a geforce 6600gt 128 mb at low settings 800x600.

  • haha old skool FTW n RIP ATI 4 the glorious domination against nvidia 5950 ULTRA with 9800XT secret weapon :')

  • It's amazing how crysis can run on such old hardware as the 9800pro :) And ppl say crysis is bad optimized.

  • The radeon 9800 pro was way ahead of its time, as shown by the fact that it can still handle Crysis. My computer may have been from 2003, but the ancient 9800 and the 3 ghz p4 have never failed me, and I always laugh when my friend's newer computers start lagging or breaking. I wonder if It's time to do some overclocking soon...

  • LoL i completed the game with radeon 9800 pro :D

  • @Totyma me too. But now i have the nvidia gtx 460 ; )

  • Hehe not bad for this old card... i mean it came out in 2004, what do u expect. And crysis isnt very ugly on lowest either so this is pretty cool.

  • hmm i have radeon 9800pro 256mb/128bit and celeron 2,4ghz and 1gb ram it can runs in my pc ?

  • @MrNoChance you can run it, but the performance will suck.

  • definitely old school graphic xd

  • The fact that this card actually does play the game (albeit bad FPS) does say something about how great this card was when it came out.. I used to have one. Gotta love 256-bit mem interface

  • haha

  • Which one is better? The 512 MB Nvidia® GeForce G310 or this ATI radeon 9800 pro. I know the 512 MB Nvidia® GeForce G310 is quite standard, but ati radeon is much older if im right.

  • this was my first ever real gaming card back in the early 2000's. awesome

  • OMG wtf is this like crysis from 1980 ??? Or some thing ???

  • @metalboyking Yep, this is the 1983 Crysis.

  • 0:21 "I NEED KETCHUP!!" LULZ!

  • how much Vram do you have? I have a Radeon 9800pro 128MB card. the minimum spec is 9800pro 256MB. can I run this with 2gig's of Ram and an Athalon XP 2500?

  • @9001tank dude, it's just a game. lay off the God talk. how is playing a game anti religious or anti God?

  • the graphic looks terrible xD but for an old 9800 okay

  • hohoh.. well.. old agp card can play crysis.. that was good long time ago 2004 my friend have this one price rm1000 about $294 and play farcry at high quality and also doom 3 max graphic... but now.. 1st/3rd person shooter games require high specs..

  • Can you tell me some cool games for ATI RADEON 9800XT? plzz...

  • When you grab an Asian by the throat like that ,they tend to Squirm and yell a lot more,...Trust me!!!!...

  • Yeah but look at the gfx they are shit and the framerate sucks ass.

  • @Manic205 TBH, I get decent FPS when I play with my 9800pro. and thats at 1024x768

  • Lmfao it plays like Far cry did on my Ge force 2 MX.

  • I have a more updated version and I use A cpu called AMD athlon 64.

  • I can't believe the game even runs let alone being able to play it. The 9800 Pro was way ahead of its time with 8 pixel pipes and a 256-bit memory interface. Especially if you had a 256MB card I'm not surprised if you can play a lot of new games.

  • @geeknproud2110 I can play up to L4D2 and the water render's like crap. MW1 and Assassin's Creed won't launch, they need's an Athalon 64 or a dual core, I'm limited to Athalon XP. and games that require SM2.0b(Fallout 3 mainly) and 3.0 and up won't run for me. so mainly Source games run. I just hope I can play Portal 2 on this card, or I will have to get a new machine, or get a HD4670 agp card. but then it will bottleneck my CPU.

  • I got RADEON 9800 PRO on my pc and all of my games textures and all set to the highest

  • what CPU do u have?

  • this just gets to show you How good those ATI 9800 series was then, i remember my friend paid 450 pounds for the ATI 9800XT series fantasic card back in 2003 and yes it's still plays Games

  • Just curious , what settings you have on high ? sound and physics ? :P

  • cool ^^

  • What a waiste haha why even bother playing on shit gfx ,defeats the whole purpose of the game play like doom 3 or something old poor crysis being played like shit =(

  • i will work with video card: GALAXY GX 8400GS by nvidia ???

  • Yes

  • yes but ATi Radeon 9800PRO better than ur 8400GS

  • haha not quite but not too far off :P

  • can i play crysis with these specs?

windows xp with service pack 2

    1,5gb ram

    3,0ghz intel pentium 4

    nvidia geforce 7800 gs

  • I had the same setup. Perhaps, on LOW~MEDIUM. But don't expect awesome framerates.

  • it works pretty good on low with small lag on med

  • Maybe, I think it'll work.

  • yeah i can paly it on medium settings :)

  • Yes.

  • Hi I would like to know if my configuration is good for Crysis. Here is what I have:

Intel Xeon CPU (dual) 2.40 Ghz & 2.37 Ghz

1024 MB (1GB) of RAM on a XP SP2 with an ATI Radeon 9500 soon changed by a few days for an ATI 9800 Pro. That thank you to answer me. =)

  • retard

  • wats a good card that could run this full capacity

  • eh not lah

  • can it work on radeon 9600 pro?

  • no it wont work even on very low settings i got 9600 pr0 mysefl and it couldnt work but now i got nvidia 9800 gt and it works on very hihg settings

  • lol it acctualy works on my 9600 pro, WOOT! xD

    on low xD

  • works on my 9550 oc'ed 490/500 xD

  • works on my ati radeon 1300

  • my friend have this card, its good on this price.

sorry for my bad english xd

  • Dude. How did you play some of the settings on high? I have an ATi RADEON 9800 XT

  • this is an agp card, correct? because i know there is an pce-e version of the card and you neglected to mention wich this is

  • It make no difference anyway, the 9800pro is too old and weak to fully use the agp bus bandwidth (2gb/s for agp x8). You won't get more performance with the pci-e version. Only time the bus will be a factor is if you use a recent card on the agp bus, like the agp version of the HD 3850.

  • well i have a 9800 LE AGP card (128mb) but i seriously doubt it will run crysis because when i try and run cod4 it says some bullcrap thing like my card doesnt support alphablend so glow will be disabled, i click okay whatever no big deal but still wont run so i dont see how crysis would run.

  • This game will on any thing hover slow it may be. :) Its true for those who believe, I tried it my self and it worked!

  • Crysis look so bad on low settings, even far cry 1 look better. Really pointless to play crysis on low (and with 10 fps)

  • ffff turning on any recording program takes lots of FPS

    Example: i run GTA SA 80 Fps - 84

when i record it goes to 10 or 15

  • ok...i am just wondering why is my radeon x800pro runlike shit in this game and it lag worse than 9800 in this video..

  • good old 9800 pro :)

  • DX10 MY ASS!! RADEON 9800FTW!!!

  • theres no way your running it on a 9800, u need shader model 3.0 atleast to play this game. ;O eitherway if it is im impressed it looks pretty good.

  • dude you know shit i played crysis on a radeon 9550 256 mb (same chipset but lower speed),1Gb DDR 400 and ssempron 2200+(1,5 ghz) so keep learning.

  • and you know when you hold the botthe and turn invisible on 1:44?they still see the bottle bit it is floating in the air this time.

  • i know

  • if you like the framerate then you could rase by going to c:Program Files/Electronic Arts/Crytek/Crysis/Game/Config/lowspec.cfg (open it with word pad) and there where it says sys_spec_full=1 change the "1" to 2,3 or 4,depend on the spec you want

  • can this video card work beyond mininum?

  • not when i tried i could not even raise the grafics on it

  • i have an amd athlon 64 with a redeon 9800pro graphics card and was wondering if my pc will run crysis?

  • I have the same card as you in my desktop, but Crysis won't let me change my graphics settings beyond minimum. Runs at 6-12 fps.

  • wow thats impressive

  • LOL fanboys will be fanboys... Anyway, for such an old videocard and considering that any recording app causes a considerable framerate hit, that little Radeon 9800 Pro is actually pushing that game along nicely.

  • I agree, the 9800Pro has been a long-running card and can run titles far beyond its time. It's amazing that it runs Crysis playable at all.

  • 9800Pro is a totally legendary card! Had it in my Dell Inspiron 9100, it did me extremely well :P

  • I had one too. It was a really fast card for a long time. I didn't replace mine for 2 generations till the GeForce 7 series came out. Then I had a 7600GT.

  • i have this card and i can barely run counter strike source what is wrong with it please tell me?

  • Try turning down the resolution, and maybe some details. If you notice in this video, Shading is obviously not set high at all... If it were set to high, the game would be completely unplayable.

  • you could expect to play at mostly high settings at a decent resolution. Though maybe not 1920 x 1080.

  • this is not the nvidia 9800

  • I know that. I was replying to another comment from hardcoregamer47a asking if his system could run it.

  • nice vid 9800s from ati were built with tech well ahead of there time and this is a test to that. If you want to hang on more id get an after market cooler and overclock it you've already gotten more out of it than it was intended why stop im sticking with my 3870 until the HD6xxx come out. Cheers

  • @BurningTruth YEah only problem with the 9800pro is that I'm limited to SM2.0 games. ME and Fallout3 need 2.0b and 3.0. but I'm glad I can play Crysis.

  • wow; my old ati 9800s failure to load bioshock provoked me to upgrade, so I never would have thought it could run this, none the less i dont think ill fire up my old comp for more than file storage.

  • is that lowest graphics? tut tut TIT!

  • card was good when farcry was out, last good card ati made

  • coz their latest cards are shit? lol.

  • not shit but getting better recently

  • that 4870x2 is the shiznit.

  • Stop talking. The 48xx series just WRECKED nvidia. Dumbass nvidiot.

  • booo fucking hooo , and no they havnt , some games runs fcuking awful on the 4870x2 , evenm quake 4 dosnt like it too much , my 8800gt runs quake 4 better

  • You just fail. ATI just released the most powerfull graphics card in the planet right now. Beating the 9800 GX2+. 380 FPS on Devil May Cry 4 and 59 on Crysis everything on max so shut up.

Yes i'll always stick with Nvidia but this time... ATI just made something sick.

  • worst player ever

  • OMG it's so laggy...

  • old computer it did have the badest system ever lol

  • @mackan4764 badest xD

go to school learn english xD

its the WORST not the badest xD

  • i remember when i had that card great card but jet i got an 8600gt that card is even better

  • I have an old 2001 gateway and i got a new video card in 2004 was the Radeon 9800 128MB Pro and i got 1GB of RAM, 2.8GHz CPU and i have Crysis Demo graphics all low, wont let me go higher but have resolution at 1280x1024 and i have 0 lag runs smooth! the graphics to this game are amazing i cant wait for my new computer to come so i can play on high everything! !:)

  • team red is NO match for team GREEN

    Nvidia FTW

  • What is the price of Radeon 9800?

  • Damn performance is pretty good on your card, If I still had mine I would try it out again... But I can somewhat do medium (for the beginning) and it drops...evga 8600GT... was sort of a mistake to get... although it overclocks very well, Well I'll wait until the prices of the 9600 drop soon or the 9800, It won't take long (look at the drops on the 8800GT, even the evga superclocked 8800GT, near the prices of what the 8600 was when I got it... lol

  • Dude, mine's running this computer with no problems (except for the frame rates). I run them with all set up to medium and high reflection details.

    My Comp:

    Pentium 4 2.8Ghz

ATI RADEON 9600 PRO 256 MB AGP 8x

    1.5 GB RAM

    120 GB HDD SATA

    Asus Motherboard

A Monitor without anything special, hi-res up to 1280x1024 resolution support Progressive Scan, and no HDMI port.

  • I have 3,2ghz CPU, 2gb RAM, radeon 9800 pro(256mb) and i cant put the settings higher than low! they are stuck on low!

    Help!

  • video card = minimum requirements, get a better video card, but you're computer it's pretty good tho!!

  • I recommend you to buy new graphic card, i got one RADEON HD2600 PRO AGP 8x at 512MB, it's cheap and also kicks ass.

  • whats the price for it?? please tell i need new Graphics card to play spore??

  • RADEON HD2600 512MB For AGP 8x is at $77 to $99.

  • yeah i know but now the new ati cards are not so good everybody wants just the new nivida cards

    My comp

Geforce 8600gts a littel bit overclocked

    Amd athalon +5200 x2

    2gig ram

    modercard Asus

  • This is why ATI OWNED Nvidia back in the day. Lets see the Nvidia FX5800 Ultra do that..it has a Fancy name but thats about ALL it has lololo

    My Comp:

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

    Nvidia EVGA 8800GT SuperClocked 512mb

    4Gb Ram

    500GB Hard Drive

Dual Displays: 22" High Definition WideScreen with HDMI LCD paired with a 19" HD WideScreen LCD

  • Ah the old Radeon 9800 Pro. Great card in its time. Like some others I had experienced overheating issues, but I fixed that with an aftermarket heat sink. Way better than the "competing" Geforce FX.

  • dude it does stand 9800pro i don't thin Geforces grafic cards are named Pro

  • in the first i though that this is geforce 9800gx 2 not an ati radeon 9800 .lol

  • I still have my 9800 pro since 2001 , running strong...

  • I'm not gonna bother looking it up but I'm pretty sure the 9800 Pro didn't come out until mid to late 2003. I remember quite specifically getting an original Radeon 8500 64MB in November 2001, the day they came out, so your memory's a bit off. The 9700 came out in 2002 and then then 9800 in 2003. God I'm such a nerd.

  • This card was recommended on FEAR and I had this card for one month until i got my new computer with a HD3870.

  • so how come my 7600GT won't run this game??

  • how ram and what cpu has you got ?

  • how much*

  • it will run it on medium or low

  • I used to have the 9800.. but it overheated some and it never lasted me. Now I have an EVGA 8600GT 256MB which I oc some, and I can run this on all high except for shadows at about 22FPS average. Very high about 15 FPS. But I loved my ATI, because Nvidia looks like crap with out anti-aliasing, ATI doesn't have that aliasing issue.

  • LoL That's amazing!

    My 9800 lasted me 4 years :)

I'm not surprised the 9800 can render the graphics, it's just surprising that the fps are acceptably smooth!

I might consider trading in my nvidia 8800 xD

    Rofl@ 4:30 with the Duelies :)

  • ? 9800 lasted you 4 years....

  • my lasted 4 years to

  • my x1950xt lasted me only about 6 month :(

  • I have the 9700 Pro, man what a fuckin differince

  • The 9700 pro dosent that have only 128 mb in graficcard memory and the 9800 pro have 256 mb in graficcard memory

  • man the 9800 is a tough card. all the cards that has come out after it, all this time that has passed and you can STILL play games on it! Even if the settings ARE on low the fact that this card still works even now is pretty impressive. I have my old 9800xt put away cuz I dont wana throw it away since I thought it was a great card a few years ago. i should try overclocking it until it blows up! lol

  • Man the 9800 Pro was is still favorite video card ever, it was like a reliable old dog lol. I wish it was still useful...........

  • that was my favorit card but now my favorit card is Geforce 8600gt =) but still the Radeon 9800 pro was good for playing crysis but you can't higher the Grafic on that card =/

  • I used to have that card, then it started fucking up, then I got a EVGA e-Geforce 8600GT 256MB, and soon I'm planning to either go to 9600GT or 9800...

  • i got a Asus Nivdia Geforce 8600 512mb now =)

  • It's a good thing EVGA has the step up program :D

  • yepp =) now i can finnaly run crysis on High =)

  • hi where do you live cause i might be interested in buying your old graphics card

  • i have already sold the computer that did have it sry

  • Can you believe how much an ATI 9800 Pro 256MB costs anymore? mine was 128 mb and was given to me by a friend but... they cost like 200 bucks, you should just save up a little extra and get a nice 8800.

  • 9800pro,lol dont make me laught.

  • this is only for pc right??

  • yes it is

  • i don't have a Radeon 9800 pro no more i got a Geforce 8600 512 mb shadermodel 4.0

  • wow...That looks like shit. I wouldent expect it to even load let alone run at a half way good pace. NICE 5/5

  • cant believe that youve got a 9800pro xD

  • just for the heck of it im goner overrclock the hell out of my 4 year old pc and buy a copy of crysis and give it a try

  • I also got the Radeon 9800 PRO 128 MB

    With AMD ahtlon 64 3200 2.4Ghz

I play Crysis demo on 800*600 everything LOW

I gone buy a new pc and then I also buy Crysis and COD4

  • Is the X1950 pro higher than the 9800 or lower i get confused..

  • lol x1950 is much, so much better than 9800, with 1950pro u can run this game on medium-high settings... i guess...

PS sor for bad engl. :)

  • Yes x1950 pros better lol

  • Sorry but i Have My "OLD" ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 256MB(Real from ATI) and only have Shader 1.4. But Funny video :D

  • the radeon 9800 pro has 256mb in grafic memory and shader model 2

  • you need to update man

  • hehe, category: comedy ^^

  • well is something that it was i did not see all the uder stuffs on youtube so i did just put it on comedy xD

  • will crysis work on my pc then? 3ghz+ amd 64, 1gig ram, 9800 pro 128meg all on winxp. like is this really for real? cant believe it man. on hardware requirements it says u need a 256meg graphics card minimum???

  • yeh btw, does ur 9800 pro have 128 meg ram or 256 meg?

  • 256 Meg did i have but now i have a 512 meg

  • not bad for an old system
