  • @HardcoreHarryUK It was 1988 Summer of Love : )

  • @SarahMancGirl thank you Sarah :) x

  • God cant believe i opened this night with another model in a very dodgy swimming costume.. very drunk then promtly fell on my bum on stage (not cool) Hot night took over from Zumbar nights as there was no stopping HOUSE music!!! It was free entry if you wore your swim wear! : )

  • @pollypondperkon manchester vibe in the area! Nice one.

  • Anyone know of any Hacienda comeback/reunion nights?

  • @Mrforestman59 Hacienda xmas party at sankeys, 28th december

  • The hacienda has a come back night in Chester on 24th sept with most of the resident dj's playing and i for one cannot wait

  • The memories... it gives me butterflies! That feeling you used to get just before you headed through the doors and on to the dancefloor.

  • I spent the some of the best nights of my life in the Haç. Thank you Tony. and Thank you Oli for putting it back up here!!!

  • IN THE AREA.......for all those that where there I still love ya X

  • @stuwa11 One Love...Railway Arches sang our every blight

  • Thanks for the mix, Leroy :)

For those concerned with anachronism: Mori Kante's 1987 'Yeke Yeke' was a popular track at Hot night in '88 and the '95 303-heavy hardfloor mix, equally popular up north in clubs like Cream, echoes and amplifies those early acid house days ...

  • COOL....easily the best footage i've seen of Hacienda having not been there myself :(

  • Wrong soundtrack, but great visuals

  • I like robots

  • Everything about this vid is shite NUDE friday night was the only night 2 be there !!! Hot = Wanky student night YEKEYEKE do me a favour as the kids say FAIL

  • Bit harsh mate, but the tune chosen is wrong

  • Manchester vibe in the area

  • i went to the hacienda in my mums belly sounds gay but true

  • Needs the tune Annette Dream 17 or somthing; great early video tho, thanks.

  • remember it well and remember the bloke with the hat and the whistle who was always on the corner of the stage, nice one

  • The music that originally sat with this footage was a mix of Stone Fox Chase, the theme of the Old Grey Whistle test. If I remember correctly I think this was first shown on The Other Side Of Midnight. The guy with the whistle at 2.30, Eric :-)

  • Does the tune really matter isn't the fact that this is well rare cool footage of a time before the knob heads took over the Hac and ruined it for good....

  • @Gnasher77 What happened? Did gangs take over?

  • A mixture of that and the fact that all good things always come to an end. Forget the hype about any other UK club. For a two year period between the end of 1987 and the end of 1989 the Hacienda was a truly magnificent and unforgettable place. No Hacienda> no Cream, no Back To Basics, no Gatecrasher etc.

  • shit choice of tune mate its almost an insult

  • Great footage, shit tune - redo this with something like Wild Times by De Lite and your on ;)

  • Thanks for this, hi old hac heads!

  • Mega..shame about the lack of original tunage!!

  • Mega!

  • Fantastic footage. Did the orignal video have any sound as the 1994 remix of Yeke Yeke doesn't really quite quite match the era?
