  • Just a note, Clean the bearing race also.

  • if wheels ever buckle or go seriously wrong on my junk bikes, i go to the local dump shop and buy a new wheel for $5

  • lol i got here by watching grease

  • wash my hands?...really?...and a history lesson?...REALLY?!!! But seriously, looks like he really cranked down on the cone a bit hard.

  • step 1 go to a rummage sale

    step 2 by a 10 dollar bike

    step 3 swop the wheels

  • @19NEWMAN98

step 0 - visit 50 garage sales looking for one selling a bike

step 0.1 - continue till u find a bike with the same size rim as yours

should only take a weekend or 2

  • H! no top comment, be smart . Uh, hello mom?

  • show the boobs

  • STEP 1: GET A NEW FUCKING BIKE.

  • I have every tool except for the bike wheel :P

  • can i use WD40 on the bearings?

  • @Diddyhiggs WD is not primarily lubricant, It is used to displace water(WD = WATER DISPLACE). In the long run, it will ruin your bearings. Use a bearing grease.

  • @fusionstar916 thanks, lucky i didn then :)

  • @Diddyhiggs Not a good idea. WD40 is not thick enough and will run out or dry out from the wheel and has a tendency to gum up when introduced to a lot of dust and grime.

  • @DarkHalmut ok thanks :)

  • @DarkHalmut hi a tendecy a lost.recycle in any metal

  • @Diddyhiggs no! its way way to thin you have to use grease

  • an important tip was missed, don't adjust the hub too tight or too loose, find a medium term

  • Thanks. Very helpful video. Would it be possible to show how the rear wheel bearings are greased? Thanks so much.

  • Can you use vaseline...?

  • interesting & thanks for the video...

  • can anyone tell me what kind of grease you should use please?

  • what if I only have a new cloth? : \

  • if u buy a wheel with sealed bearings do u ever have t do this

  • What if I just splash some door oil in them without even removing them (the bearings). Is that ok? .... Am I being a dork if I do that??!

  • @Demimorph I wouldn't advise it because oil is a different consistency to grease. Also if dirt gets into the oil it could ruin your hub, whereas bike specific grease contains teflon to repel dirt etc.

  • who repairs bikes for a hobby? wtf?

  • @krusherkid most people if u are dedicated to iking u should b dedicated to fixing it

  • Howcast is useful again!!!
