I agree with all the positive statements. As a former member of the USAF, I know what our military goes through on a daily basis. Like most, if not all, former military personnel, I don't just support our troops, I support their mission as well. It is their sacrifice in performing their mission that allows us to live our lives the way we wish to live them. Merry Christmas to all of our troops at home and abroad.

I fought for this country's freedom and watched quite a few soldiers give their lives in 2007-2008. I fought so those 12 people that disliked can express themselves freely. I don't like it and I think it's vile but me and many soldiers fought for our right to say what we want. God bless our soldiers, marines, seamen, and airmen as well as all our veterans.

As a retired naval officer I want to say this is the best song I every heard. I thank all the servicemen and women of all the branches of the armed forces. @GlennFroese68 Americans today are too complacent and don't believe in working for what they get; and real people are few and far between. When Pearl Harbor was attacked, we stood together to work towards a greater cause. Men went off to war and women helped in the war effort. And then again, in 2001, we realize a terrible threat to freedom. Do we need another disaster to "wake up" and see that America is not the center of the world?

Being a very patriotic person and a grandson of a Vietnam veteran and a nephew of a Marine, this made me shed a few tears cause I know what our Soldiers and Marines have to do for us and I'm proud of them. Soon I'll be joining and serving. God Bless America.

Last year my family was fortunate enough to have my couisn Kenny, a US Marine, come home for christmas. He won't be able to come home this year. So I send my blessings to my cousin, the other soldiers who have spend christmas away from home, and their families. God bless you all.

As a retired naval officer I want to say this is the best song I every heard. I thank all the servicemen and women of all the branches of the armed forces. I also want to say thanks to my brother who servied in the Marines from 1974 to he retired in 2002. Also to 3 uncles who served during World War II and Karea in the Navy.

I remember reading this poem in an issue of Leather neck magazine back when i was in high school about 20 years ago, i always like to read the poems people submitted. I had forgotten all about it until i stumbled on this video tonight. It still brings a tear to my eyes.

@SmokeyCough oh my God you really don't understand reading comprehension do you. The best of them is a term used to describe the idea that you where with really great units or people. Every military unit and "special Forces" have different jobs. They dont use Delta Force, Green Berets etc for normal military jobs. Thats obvious.

I'll never know you allbut, my grandfather's both served in WWII on in the Phillipines and one in Germany.My grandfather's saved everything.I have journals of all the men he met and died before him.When I was young he taught me how to put out the flag and when to take it down and he told me all the stories of the war.Somethings never change when it comes to war.I love you men & womenout there...
