I'm researching the different downpipes.. VAST is the cheapest but its stock downpipes gutted and modded.. what is the diameter of the stock downpipes? 2" inch?

if so I want to go with 3" instead...

GOOD GOD! Absolutely one of the sickest Audi's i have ever heard. I've been looking at the newer 4.2's cause i love the sound but this blows away any 4.2 i've ever heard in my opinion, plus its faster, (at least modified) I'm definitely leaning towards one of these for my next daily driver!

@Technomanx1 The downpipes are just modified stock downpipes. The precats are gutted and the main cats have been replaced with straight pipes, so only the labor for welding if you gut the precats yourself. The Twin1 can be purchased directly from AWE Tuning or from PureMS. I got mine from PureMS. Also, it's a popular cat back, so you can probably find one used. Price ranges between $600-900 depending on if you buy new or used and at what time of the year. AWE usually has nice Waterfest pricing.

My s4 is bone stock right now im gonna get stuff done in the spring, but my buddy has did the piggies on his stock exhaust and man it sounds great but there were a couple times there was a pop sound when shifting to second. even when he revs it at a stand still it sometimes pops and a smell of smoke comes out. Is this normal or is something wrong because i don't want mine to do that. lol i know im kinda new but does this happen at all to you?

@ride1157 - With piggies and straight pipes you'll get the pops and the smell because the setup is catless. After doing a couple pulls in boost, it will pop really loud on downshift. Without straight pipes, this is will be less because you still have the main cats in place.
