I would say all the countries bring their own flavour to the genre. Theres a real difference between the norweigan and swedish DM scene tht you can hear both in the lyrics and in the melodies. Theres alot of good shit from both places. And Denmark has Hatesphere and Illnath. I think they are both fucking awesome even though they might not fit into these categories too well.
The point is Scandinavia is the Mecca for extreme metal, especially the awesome underground shit. Hail Metal.

Sweden is good but Norwegian black metal is the only real black metal...if you listen carefully you'll see that swedish black metal is more similiar to modern black metal that i like to call posers...there are some good bands in Sweden like Bathory but they went insane when started to play that viking metal shit...and finally bands like Burzum and Mayhem, their greatness cannot be compared

I like both countries (SWE, NOR), but I must be detached, and best BM-bands (and musicians) were (and are) in Norway .. this is Mekka of black metal (I would like live there, it mus tbe nice country) ... but every good black-metal band is fine, and doesnt matter, where is from .. hail to all BM -fans!

after years of listening to swedish black metal and norwegian black metal i can say i like both, but i do favor swedish black metal a little more because to me it seems that they have a little more of a catchy melody, but i do love the sheer anger and terror that comes out of norwegian black metal. Either way when i show a christian black metal i always get that feared look in their eyes and i answer with a big grin on my face! XD
