Please do not show things like this! People may mistake it for actual Irish Dance. I am an Open Champion Irish Dancer and have been competing competitively for a while and just please do not make versions of Irish dance. If you are going to make a tap version of Irish Dance, at least cross over for heavens sake!
it looks bad because they holding hands behind their backs, then whole figure looks very stressed and forced out. i think it drags whole performance down
Not to be hurtful or anything, but PLEASE tell me that this is not supposed to look like actual Irish dance... I've competitively Irish danced for 5 years and I have nothing against tap dancing. But this dance is just going to cause more confusion about the VERY LARGE differences between the two styles because you're trying to teach a specific, extremely difficult and strict style to dancers who are familiar with something completely different. Sorry for the rant...
@Danniboi221989 why don't you put on a pink dress and show it for us..? what... exactly you mean to say in here dude... 'cause i'm gonna lost here... lol
@Danniboi221989 Watch some of the other videos - we smile plenty! This was intended to be a serious piece and the choreographer instructed us not to smile. The focus was meant to be on the precision of sound.
@ktb8482 Why make this a somber piece? Irish dancers smile, and the music used is a montage of the happy scenes in Riverdance. So even as an homage to that show, it isn't right. The dancers are talented. I have no doubt they could have quickly picked up the actual Irish steps had they been taught. It's more than a bit insulting when choreographers from other genres think they can fake their way through Irish dance, no matter how well-intended the dancers are.

Even a brick is smiling more than these girls. This literally kills the experience.

@MissEmcat24 No, this was not intended to be traditional Irish dance. It was intended to be more of a tap dancer's interpretation of Riverdance.

@ktb8482 Ok thanks for the clarification. Again tap dancing is great but it just worries me whenever people mix or mistake the two lol :)

Can't imagine at what occasion the Irish are not smiling. We smile & make fun at everything even funerals. Without a smile this isn't Celtic dancing.

They need to smile more, it looks like they are attending a funeral. Pretty good choreography for girls so young though.

Some people want young white females to mix with non-white males.
I made a one-minute video highlighting a very small sample of race-mixing advertisements.
I love white people, and I am opposed to race-mixing. But I do not hate non-whites.
If you click on my name “awhitesoul2012” highlighted in blue below this comment, you can watch my video.
Thanks.

why is it that I find this type of dancing more erotic than Beyonce's "all the single ladies"? guess I'm just weird.
