The Veyron used to be the fastest... but the SSC Ultimate Aero TT has a better power to weight ratio... The Veyron is around 4162 lb... and the SSC UA TT is 2850... therefor making the engine have to pull less weight. Making it get off the line and reach it's top speed before the Veyron can. But somethings that people are conrtoversal about, is that the Veyron is a production car. The Aero isn't... Only 24 Ultimate Aero TTs were produced from 2006-2007.... This is just my input. No haters plz.

ultiate aero is fastest. the barabus tkr hasnt been tested and nether has the new porsche. they say it can go 257. but you need to understand what the ultimate aero did to get a recorded top speed. it did 2 runs on a highway. to a checkpoint 2.5 miles away and back. then.. guinness would average the speeds. first run 258 second was 254. so technically.. the ultimate aero went 258mph. so if what porsche is saying is true.. the ultimate aero is still faster.

SSC is actually looking for a larger area to take the car too. They say it will go faster and Wind tunnel testing shows the body stable to 271mph. That is what they plan to shoot for when they find a long enough stretch of road.

well this is meant as a more of a STREET LEGAL point of view. not a tube with jets that can only go in a straight line. BUT! The Veyron has been beat on that front as well. By our friends at Shelby Super Cars. Same people that made the SSC Thrust. It's called the SSC Ultimate Aero. It beat the Veyron, it's half the cost, and weighs about half as much. Check it out! :)
