Marvel One on One: Bendis Talks Siege

I just finished Siege and I liked it. My only complaint is that not all the Marvel heroes were involved in the actually Siege miniseries but it was good.

siege #1 and 2 were so good. then 3 kinda lost it a little but not really cuz the void came out full force and you can tell thors gonna stop him. Then 4 was truly a fail. i dont understand why they did that. Thor hammer splats the void? that was a very anticlimactic ending. of all the people to kill Loki dies? there was just so much build up to do something amazing and they killed it. AND GET FUCKING SPIDERMAN OUT OF THEIR! what the hell is he gong to do to the void?

Ooooohhh... Another exciting Marvel crossover event where, when all is said and done, pretty much every one is still alive, ready to trudge through 20 more years of redundant continuity! Also where, if your not willing to cough up somewhere in the neighborhood of $60 a month, you won't know what the hell is going on. I don't know about you, but I can't wait!

omg im panicing im so far behind with the storylines iv just finished new avengers 4 and have been telled to move onto re reading all of civilwar and go on to new avengers 5 and 6 and now im hearing of secerate worriors the invasion and all sorts

All this Siege stuff is just a move by Marvel to make it so the Avengers line up is set up like it's going to be in the Avengers movie coming out, so that the massive influx of new readers who've seen Iron Man, the upcoming Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers can go to their local comic book store, see something familiar and start buying.

It appears to have strayed so far away from the original characters in the last 10 years that nearly all Marvel comics are deluded versions of their former selves. The photo-realist art is getting annoying, there is far too much continuity to read if you want to get it all and the prices for a comic are expensive, especially if you don't know what you're buying because you can potentially buy crap.

There is a whole sea of crap in comics. Once you find your taste, you'll be fine.

Don't get me wrong, Green Goblin and Magneto are some of the best villains in Marvel. But on't forget that Dr. Doom has been able to control Magneto in the past and Green Goblin is a little too unstable.

Dr. Doom controls MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, and if the numbers are still the same, over 15% of the 616-Earth human population is a mutant or possesses the x-gene. That means there are potentially hundreds of thousands of mutants in Latveria. Magneto wants to control one country, Dr. Doom already does.

Dr. Doom wants the universe, not a country. Power. Doom's threat is therefore Galactic in nature and more dangerous than Magneto.

The problem with Magneto being the top villain is that it's hard to simply classify him as just a villain. hero/villain classification doesn't do his character justice, except for early early x-men days when he was just the typical take over workd megalomaniac

And Magneto, by force of will alone took control of every eloctronic device on the planet, the magnetic field of Earth, AND shielded himself and the Brotherhood and X-Men from TWO nuke strikes/explosions AT the same time. @surfitlive The Redskull might have beaten crossbones but dosent mean he can beat cap. Crossbones is as strong as cap being peak human and all, but he dosent have the fighting training like cap. Cap can go toe to toe with Iron fist who is the primer martial artist in Marvel 616. Red skull lost to cap plenty of times

I do believe that LOKI and others involvement R side effects to his master plan & considered already in them, just like Doom and the Hulk Killers(Fall of the Hulks) are doing with their plans.

But in the end the bad guys can never be happy with who is in charge or who has enough power so they will fight each other like the heros in civil war and ruin their own plans, or at least there will be 1 big threat standing to take down....AVENGERS (AAALLLLL 50+ of THEM) ASSEMBLE!
