Haven't connected a PS3 to it, but we have used it with an old GameCube. Haven't tried the Wii either. With the GameCube it works fine. Not extremely crisp but very playable. The projector is about 13' back from the wall and the size is about 90+/- inches. We just use the composite input for the console.
i'm going to be getting these sometimes next week so where do the sound comes from, lets say i'm trying to watch a movie from my directv do you just like hook the dtv to the projector and it project the picture to the projector screen without being connected to an extra tv? and another where do i get sound from is it from the actual projector or do i have to buy a surround sound system.
Anyhow, the projector is still working very well. The kids love it, especially with 3D DVDs. If you keep the sound up with a decent surround system you don't hear the fan much at all. Playing games is fine, the resolution is of course not HD but for older systems it's okay. Certainly worth the $250.
I received mine 4 Aug. I'am watching the Clemson & Aub game now. The fan really isn't that loud, yes you can hear it, grow up. Any half good sound system covers it. I also ordered my son one for his birthday, it arrives Tuesday. My picture would be better if i had a HD source. People expect the picture to be the same as a HDTV. In a movie theater the picture is not the same as HD. In the video it sounds louder than mine. I think his camera is sitting right on top of it. I love it!!!
Armookie - The projector is working very well. As far as the washed out issue, it seems to have been only when using the HDMI from a cheap DVD player. We routinely stream directly from the Roku box with Netflix and it looks great. DVDs from any old laptop using the VGA gives very good results. As far as using the ps3 into it I haven't tried it yet. I should connect some gaming systems to it and see how it looks; just haven't gotten around to it. The only negative is the fan is kinda loud.
Hi, How is the projector? Looking at one myself although I want to output hdmi from ps3 to it. Do you think the washed out problem will be a big problem? Or have you more details on what you mean by this. Also what resolution do you have your pc set up at through your projector?
We've had the projector in use almost daily for movies and streaming. After approximately one month of use it is a pretty solid performer for $250.00. We've tried all of the inputs for quality and have determined that the VGA input is CLEARLY the best route to take. When running video in through the HDMI ports the image is too hot or washed out despite adjustments to contrast or brightness. When using the composite the image is acceptable but not great.

@drez20001 How does it work with the PS3? What size screen do you use and at what throw distance? If you have hooked up the PS3 was it via HDMI?
